You get a little handbook with pictures of trains in, then you go and sit in a trainstation and wait for one in your book to come by. You get points for each train, and (if I remember right) you can get ... prize stuff if you send off saying "LOOK LOOK I SPOTTED ALLA THEEESE!" etc
