I tend to take anything posted at AICN with a large grain of salt, but I agree... this does sound awesome. I'm looking forward to X2 more than I am Reloaded. If the character development is as good as indicated, I'm going to be a happy camper. :)

The review pretty much didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. But it did prompt me to go watch the 2nd trailer, which I hadn't seen up until now. Having seen that, I'm pretty excited about seeing it now.

Actually, AICN has offered a couple of reviews that disagree with the norm and I found myself actually agreeing with them (see - Hannibal). So I put a bit of faith in their reviews. Sometimes, I'll be hesitant to believe them if, say, they're raving about a film I know I probably wouldn't like. But if there's a film I'm looking forward to, and they post a glowing review, it makes me more confident about going to see it.

In most cases, the reviews are good. I've read some over the years that have been pretty ridiculous, though (ie. written in a way that indicated that person may not have actually seen the film.) They've managed to get some "factual" info wrong at times, too (and not bother to post disclaimers saying, "This hasn't been verified and may be just rumor.")


Besides... I said I'm excited about it, and that the review makes it sound like hella fun film. It's not like I'm going to let that grain of salt stop me from seeing it..

I can't wait for this movie. The only thing that gives me pause is the fact that instead of just calling it "X2" they're giving it a subtitle: X-Men United. I think that's in the most recent trailer? Anyway it sounds retarded to me.

The X2 subtitle thing goes along the line of the official name is one, the name sent to the rating people, which means its the title sold with, is the other

I can't wait for this movie, Wolverine sounds like he is going to be even better this time around. Actually everybody is better only Cyclops his role seems to be the worse of all the characters. But that doesn't bother me I always found Cyclops rather boring myself.

I'm over the moon that Famke Jansen gets a more significant part this time around, as does Jessica Blah-Blah. From the reviews it does sound like the characters are given plenty of attention which is great. I wish Halle Berry would have Storm's powerful tribal woman voice too. Alas. :)

I think Anne Paquin looks hot in the movie, maybe its just the touched up poster :p Also I saw a behind the scenes thing on Fox it was a fake documentary that dealt with the Mutant Problem. It was pretty good it might be on again. I think HBO is also doing one Thursday.
