In the LQ! (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28432)

C'mon guys, they didn't get admin permission for nuthin'! Give 'em a bit o' trouble!

Rognan Dar

Who are they, and are they not Jedi?

Zeke
Apr 1st, 2003, 06:55:43 PM
No, they're not Jedi! If they were, they wouldn't need admin permission to post in the LQ! They're two Force insensitive fighters with some interesting technology, and they lost a bet. Read the opening post and you'll know all you need to know.

In this thread you can pound people.

Pound people? What do you mean by that? Sorry, it's just not clear.

Pounding initiated! *high fives Alpha*

Thanks bro, we'll work together on this one! ;) :lol

Zeke
Apr 1st, 2003, 10:40:31 PM
OVERKILL! :lol Damn, Alpha alone's probably enough.

EDIT: A note to those in the RP and those who may join at a later date; if one brother posts, let the other go before replying. Thanks.

Oh, goodness. This will be quite interesting. We have all 3 ranks in that thread. A Master, a Knight, and a Padawan.

Pounding is ok, but no maiming or killing, please. Thank you :)

Xazor Elessar
Apr 2nd, 2003, 01:24:18 PM
We won't maim or kill, that's in the FAQ's Wei -- I've been here looong enough to know that.

Go Syrius! (Aka: Another Jedi Master in a different form) :lol

So yeah, this'll be awesome! :D

Alpha

This'll be fun. :) though Satine probably coulda taken them himself. :D lol

Zeke
Apr 3rd, 2003, 09:25:44 PM
Satine's more than a match, trust me. The brothers are gonna have to think outside the box on this one.

I hardly see how this thread could be fun, at least not for the two brothers. You insult them in every post, Xazor set the filter off, and you're using telepathy as an excuse to have your way with them. Logic's right; this is infantile.

EDIT: Just nevermind what I was going to say. I'm going to wait a little longer before I say it.

You all need to learn how to separate IC from OOC -- I'm not insulting the people that play them, Xazor is insulting them IC for being stupid enough to raid the LQ.

This is who my character is and if you don't like it, fuck off. The filter rule doesn't apply here and I only set it off once. I'm not having a good day, then I come here to see people saying how I'm not really helping Satine any -- a pile of tin is better than me -- a bunch of new Knights and PADAWANS think they're better than me.

Ya know what? I'm having just the day to quit. I'm so sick of the BS that you few in particular, who have replied here, are giving me -- not only today but in many many many other threads.

A little group of goody goodies who, in reality, are hypocrites -- are going to stand up to me, someone who is trying to RP and have fun. Sorry, but my feelings don't get hurt for things said/done IC -- I'm intelligent enough to tell the difference.

:verymad

You posted an open thread in the LQ, you get what you get. If Xazor IC is going to insult them, she's going to insult them. Going up against Jedi Knights and Masters isn't an easy thing, but if you're creative, you can figure out ways to 'beat' them.

I'm just going to use this as an opportunity to say this -- I'm sick of all this stupid in fighting going on. You can not like people, and not agree with them. But insulting people and going against people because a thread isnt going your way is retarded (And this is for ALL of you!:p I'm sure I've done this too.).
Considering I know most, if not all the parties involved in this thread, I find it sad you can't work things out via PM/IM. I know you're all smart people, and you can work this out if you try.

Let's all remember, we're here to fun and be creative. How about instead of starting a flame-fest here, you try to work out the problems you've been having with this thread without insults and swearing? (Not that I mind swearing -- GJO isn't part of the swear filter rule that applies to the open RP forums.)

Just a suggestion, I hope no-one gets upset at my two cents added. Have a nice day :)

My two cents. I think the complaint here is that Neither Xazor nor Alpha have given the brothers a method to escape their current predicament.

Xazor Elessar
Apr 4th, 2003, 05:25:27 PM
Well too bad for them, then, if they were dumb enough to break into the LQ -- they can suffer the consequences. They're not going to get away with stealing IC and all that, so yeah -- the only way out is by means of escort -- that is a way out.

If you don't like it, Wei -- why don't you side with them?

Morgan Evanar

I agree with Xazor. If they broke into Morgan's room they'd both be unconcious, on the floor, and bleeding.

Add another agreement here. If they were silly enough to break into my room, there wouldnt be enough left to scrape over a slice of toast

Also note, Xazor is right about the fliter - GJO is NOT under the admin umbrella of SW-Fans. The only thing we share is the server, for all intents and purposes, we are seperate.

ALSO.... So what did you expect invading the LQ? Roses? I would expect someone doing that to get smashed, especially arrayed against what could turn up. I''d agree with Lilya big time, please take note of what seh said.

Okay? Dont get OOC hostile now. There is no need nor call for that

phew, I was expecting a flame or something bad :lol

I'd have to agree with everyone else -- unless you're a Force expert, you wouldn't be able to get away with breaking into GJO and stealing.

I vote we let it drop. A series of mistakes and misunderstandings appears to have become a flame war.

There, loads better ;)

I'm sorry, but the fact you got anywhere near the Temple without a Jedi noticing your intentions is incredibly amazing. Trained Jedi are supposed to know how to sense emotions and intent, if not the actual thoughts of someone. If an outsider was in a temple full of Jedi, they'd be on them before someone could yell "free for all". Now, disregarding that fact, it was becoming a fun thread.

I think it's hilarious that anyone could feel sorry for burglars. "Poor robbers, they're being insulted!". Obi-Wan Kenobi cut off what's her name's arm as she was walking up to him! He didn't stop, throw away her gun, and have a nice talk. Jedi or no Jedi, if someone comes in to rob something they should be gagged and beaten. I think people are having the misconception that just because Jedi help people that when someone robs them they should try to resolve things without injury. Protecting your's and other's properties by any means nessecary is not un-Jedilike. And calling them names for being so stupid as to waltz into a Jedi strong hold isn't foul either. Jedi aren't expected to hold hands with criminals and sing camp fire songs.

Break into kelts room and you would have just made a grave Mistake because Dasquian lives next to me and Figrin on the other side and all 3 jedi would seriously pummel you O_o

There aint no way you would get in and out without being beaten to a pulp O_o

The point isn't that they feel insulted OOC. Far from it. We all know how to draw the line between IC and OOC. The POINT is that it isn't very becoming of a Knight and Master to behave like a pair of Sith. I'm almost certain there are ways to defuse this situation without having to randomly show up, fully decked out in armor and every weapon known to man to kill them in one post. Now, if we're all done making fun/flaming/criticising, could we let it fall to the bottom of the page? The thread's been blasted to shit because of all this OOC crap anyways.

You know what? You are wrong. Jedi are not just peace loving hippy freaks and I am utterly sick to death with people saying "This is how a Jedi acts" all because they get their backsides handed to them.

Listen, not all Jedi in the EU or even in the movies were peaceful. Some were actually quite violent. It's acceptible.

And I may add, the only time you have a right to be critical on how a Jedi chooses to play their character is if they have moded. . Only the Council IC and the Admins OOC have the right to go further. You have a problem, then you take it to the Admin team.

Xazor Elessar
Apr 5th, 2003, 05:58:23 PM
Thank you Marcus, that's my point exactly, hence why I'm utterly pissed.

I'm sick of all these people critizing me on how my character acts -- sorry, wait, no I'm not sorry -- that's acceptable Jedi behavior. Do you think that the Jedi will let them get their rearends handed to them just in the name of peace? Pfft, guess you have a lot more to learn then.

I'm not here to throw flames and whatnot, but Zeke, honestly you like to pick apart a lot of people and then you are hypocritical because you go and do some of the same things you accuse others of doing. :\ That's what ticks me off and that's one of the main things that is keeping us from getting along, I guess.

Hmmmmm. Okkkaaaaaaaaay. Mr SW-fans, does that warning triangle work here? If not, I'm placing this thread on warn anyway. I dont mind issues discussed, but out of hand is just as much a no-way hose-a. Keep it cool.

I would have preferred you said that in PM to Zeke Xaz. Okay well, what's done is done. I'll just simply say I'm watching this thread. Keep your comments cool.

Sage Hazzard

Everyone needs to simmer down, seriously. If someone thinks you're playing your character wrongly, so be it. It's not like anyone else thinks that or that it matters if they do. So everyone keep cool here.

Now, I disagree that this thread should be put aside and pushed out of our thoughts. Some interesting discussions have been brought up here. To forget them and igrore them would be prolonging a big flame war. If we can all act like adults, even those who aren't adults, then this can be a constuctive thread.

Now, look at the movies. I recall a squid looking guy with tails on his head and big bug eyes in AOTC. He was smiling and having fun cutting up 'droids! He'd smile at the camera after kicking some butt.

Let's examine what a Jedi is, okay?

A Jedi is a person who is tought to use the Force for good. He/she is tought to calm their thoughts and become peaceful in order to tap into the Light Side, to have no emotion. Now that isn't a philosophy and is often misinterpeted as that. It's how you get into the Light Side, but it isn't how you have to act 24/7. Look at the EU, where the Jedi aren't trained from birth. In the movies you'll see many peaceful Jedi who act all proper and polite. That's partly because they were brought up that way, sheltered from emotions. However many, if not 99.99999 percent, of the RPers here RP characters who became Jedi after living ordinary lives. Much like in the EU, when the New Jedi Academy was in place. They're expected to have emotions that aren't perfect. In fact, to do otherwise would be bad writing. If you have a character who acted a certain way for 20 some odd years of their lives, they're not changing in a day. They'll still be like they were before they became a Jedi.

Why does it matter though? Why is that becoming a topic in reference to a break in thread? Would you rather a character like Yoda walk in, freeze you in place and pin your arms to your side, then show you the door very quietly? Or were you seriously expecting for you to come break in and have some Jedi come meditate with you? It doesn't work like that.
