This may be old hat, but I found it funny..

Subject: The Difference Between a Liberal, a Conservative and a Texan.

Question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and three small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner and is running at you while screaming obscenities. In your hand is a Para Ordnance .45 and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What would you do?

----Liberal Answer----
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that is inspiring him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife our of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Is is possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he difinitely watn to kill me or would he just be content to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion.

-----Conservative Answer -----
BANG!

-----Texan's Answer -----
BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG! BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG! click... (sounds of clip being ejected and fresh clip installed)

Wife: "Sweetheart, he looks like he's still moving, what do you kids think?"

Son: "Mom's right, Dad.. I saw it too"

BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG! BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!

Daughter: "Nice grouping, Daddy!"

Realistic Liberal's answer: I remove his knees from 30 feet.

Texan's answer is pretty funny tho.

Actually if the Liberals really had their way.. That said person wouldn't be holding a gun, they'd be illegal.

So the family would be SOL

Or they'd be on their way to turn in their Gun Registration and Urine Sample....and equally be screwed.

I disagree. Most people label me "Liberal". I am. On some issues. Gun control means knowing who has what gun and that they're not a criminal or a nutcase. It also means aiming with both hands. It says so in the Consitution. In and of themselves, they're not a bad idea.

Oh wonderful.

The Liberal party's official stance is pro-Gun Control. You may feel free to disagree with them on the issue, but it still is.

It's a joke, it's poking fun at a stereotype. Laugh and move on, please.

I prefer the sniper's motto... one shot, one kill.

meh, pistols are good as a supplemental. What would be awesome is a trench, a 1903 Springfield, a colt .45, a helmet, and a bunch of lousy huns sitting in the opposing trench with their AI set to novice or intermediate.

Oh, yes, and grenades!

Bloody Texans... I wish I was one...

Or, being related to family who live in Texas, does that count enough to be called a friend of Texas? I know I can't BE Texan, but could I be considered a friend of Texas? Could I? Huh? Please?

I don't have guns yet, but when I do, I promise to shoot things! So Please? Can I?

^ If ever there was an argument that might sway me to support Gun Control, this is it.

What if he only shoots Michael Moore? Is that a good compromise? :)

Dyzm, I hereby pronounce you an honorary Texan, with all rights and priveleges of that position to be granted to you forthwith. May the spirit of Sam Houston be with you.

Ummm, I get no indication Moore is actually anti gun. I get the feeling he has plenty of them. even if you think he's a nut, Bowling for columbine did have a few very good questions that needed asking.

Guns as per se aint a problem. It's the fools behind them. A resposible, rational person should be allowed to have a gun - I stress rational and responsible. After all Canada is full fo guns and they dont seem to be runnign around shooting each other.

I prefer bow and arrow, but that's just me - Wouldnt mind getting a gun licnece and doing some hunting of feral animals.

WTF?!?!?! How can you be fined $180 for firing a potato cannon into a (presumably vacant) parking lot? WTF kind of half-educated peanut judge issued this fine? That's ridiculous! It's just a bloody potato cannon!

More reason to shoot him. I'm against idiots with guns. ;)

The only "good points" that 2 hour waste of time had were that we need welfare reform. That aside, its apalling how much of that "documentary" is a pack of glaring lies and complete fabrications. Moore creates the exact same sensationalism that he demonizes. Its neither relevent, correct, nor thought-provoking, unless you consider how clever Moore has to be to deceive people with his "nonfiction".
