Car, plus the builders - Me in the daggy and way too large clothes (Baggy tracksuit, red tent like shirt), Peter my brother in the sunglasses ( and the Stormtrooper Star Wars T-Shirt), Tim is the other guy. The car is a Mitsubitsi Galant VR-4, weight of 1350 Kg, 4 wheel drive with rear limited slip racing differential, open front and centre differentials, 5 speed close ratio "Forest" option racing gearbox, 2 Litre with turbo producing 270 - 280 hp, fully seam welded shell, racing suspension, one meter long sump guard, using 45 meters of roll cage tubing welded to the body in 30 places, 50 litres of argon welding shield gas, 100 meters of .6 welding wire, 150 hours of time, 100 pizzas, 10 10 cm grinding and cutting discs.
in it is a Gull racing seat - to get twin Sparco fibreglass seats, a wiring tidy up, some interior painting, fuel and brake lines to the inside of the cabin, windscreen, rear tank guard, diagnose rear tail lights and high beams, set up brakes, wheel align and tune.

I don't know you guys. Cars are pretty boring for me, unless I'm going really fast. Outside of that, cars are just another thing.

They're just a thing to me too.. sometimes I just like to sit in a car and think and they're nice for getting you places.. but that's not eough to make me understand why most guys seem to be born with this obsession ^_^; *shrugs* Oh well. I guess a girl can only understand a few "guy things".
They go fast. They growl. We drive them.
...and? :mneh
It's still a pretty car though markymarky.

Women too have things they like that defy male understanding.
It's about freedom and control. It's expression too. It's a blokey form of knitting if you think about it. It's a hobby and way to stay - or get into trouble. It's about the adrenaline rush of going 160 kph and sideways, teetering on the edge of grip. It's baout the noise and smells. It's about starting up a project that has taken years and knowing you have succeeded after much hard work.
Cars can be an art form. While you might not think so, working on a bearer plate for the suspension with a 15,000 rpm grinder takes real skill and dare I say it, artisitc flair to make it look right.
