Liv Tyler sure does look like she did in FOTR and TTT as Arwen. Either they didn't need much makeup in the trilogy, or she always puts on lots of makeup.

She's classically gorgeous though. ho-la!

Some of the 'male' elves look so ...

Orophin and Rumil, the androgynous pair from Lothlorien. Still hard to believe they're male.

Amanthon looks like a ...
In the case of Orophin and Rumil, Ian McKellen's boyfriend must have sabotaged the makeup kit. They caught him running around in Cate Blanchett's Galadriel wardrobe.

Kidding! :D

Actually, I'm not :|

Just Treebeard. Although having said that Treebeard is the only ent we hear talking at least not in entish. Liv Tyler looks great as Arwen but I think she does herself a disservice when she dresses up for awards ceremonies, etc. I don't think she looks very good.

He always looks, IMO, like he is about to burst into tears, or has just been crying.

It's true. I'd say that Frodo was always teetering on the edge of mental breakdown in the novels because of the huge responsibility on his shoulders. He SHOULD be looking like he's constantly about to break into tears or faint or something.

Only later on though, after all to begin with he is quite happy in The Shire.
