Eminem wins an OSCAR??????

Actually, good on him. I heard the other four nominees and his was genuinely the best.

I dunno, it sounds weird - Eminem, Oscar winner. Who would have thought that could ever happen?

Oh. So not a real Oscar then :lol A movie award for a sogn shouldn't count for as much as movie award for acting. If that makes sense....:uhoh

you know the world will end when..

A White guy is the best rapper
A black guy is the best golfer
France calls the USA arrogant
And Germany doesnt want to fight

Eminem wasn't there, actually. One of the other guys accepted the award.

Didn't he mention something about receiving awards in his song "The Real Slim Shady"? Something about being skeptical of receiving invites for award ceremonies like this? It's been way too long, so I don't remember.

That was back when he was in denial of his pop success.

It was really just a slam on critics who said he wasn't deserving of all of his praise.

I sort of thought Eminem was gonna win. I liked the song for the movie.

Of all the songs up for that category, I certainly felt that Eminem's was the best so as has been said before, good for him.

What? People criticise Boybands for not writing their own songs. Why does he get let off? :)

I have a decent amount of respect for Eminem. Some of his stuff isn't too bad at all. I can't take him seriously, though - Every time I see him on TV, I keep thinking that he's parodying rappers, not trying to actually be one. :)

Yes. True, but Eminem is there and is the most prominent contributor to writing said song. For example, the lyrics were entirely of his making, beehotch!

Timberlake wrote his own song. People still criticise him. Eminem goes in the same bracket of Timberlake :)

Eminem does write all of his own lyrics, every last word. Jeff Bass and Luis Resto just produced the beat. I really don't see your point about criticism though, if there even is one? Every artist gets criticized...so what're you saying?

I like Eminem. My fav song of his is "Stan".

Yes, he writes his stuff, and I liked NSYNC! I am so sad they're gone. I will settle for Justin Timberlake though. I love his new song. Sounds disco-ish. I heard it this morning on the way to work, and got all happy.

Anyway... good for him. I like him! Go him.

Did Star Wars get nominated for anything? You know... the awards you don't see on the show... the tech awards? Maybe it came out too long ago?

Just saw 8 Mile. The music isn't too bad at all; It all fit the movie well. I'm glad he won.

The movie itself is really well done, but I had trouble staying interested in it. I enjoyed it, but don't think I'd want to watch it again anytime soon.
