Copyright question

Now so everyone knows...this is a character of mine, which is why I'm running it by the mods. I know we had a problem with people blatantly ripping stuff before.

I was curious if it would be good for me to put a 'copyright notice', meaning saying "Orginally created by James D. Parriot" (and if need be figure out where he is and ask him if I can use it).

I plan on Lacroix being more of a plot device than an actual character- but I still wanted to clear it with the staff.

I'm not familiar with the character, or the creator of the character.

If this character has been created by someone else, and you're not just using the name, but the entire character, then you should at least make mention of the original creator in your profile. IMO, but I'll need more information.

Yeah, same here with more info but Fett has a point. Changing the name fix the problem or are you actually playing the character that was made?

I did change the name originally...had it as Le'on (with the accented e) but I never could get the accent to work when I registered and did the sig so I just changed it to Lacroix.

And the character has a lot of similarities (radio show, name, using Nigel Bennett as the pic) but I'm ignoring the military background the TV Show had.

And yes he is from Lexx but he was originally on a show called 'Forever Knight' where his name was Lucien Lacroix and he tormented this one character before the show got axxed.

Ask Sorsha she knows the show.
