View Full Version : Where have the jedi gone? (3/26 Need jedi/dark jedi to beat up on Sith apprentices)

(ooc note: This thread is to get these sith apprentices some fighting experience. Jedi/Dark jedi of any skill will be fine..... :) )

IC:

Maxim and Leliarre had planned this trip for about a week now. It was a simple mission, designed by the two of them on a late night roaming of the castle. The point of it was to get some fighting experience and perhaps have a tale or two to bring back to the Sith Order, where perhaps they would get some recognition for the havoc they intended to wreak over the jedi they encountered.

Leliarre had been with the order for a bit of time now, and Maxim was a very new apprentice – though a feisty, impatient one who had soaked up as many lessons as possible in the short time he’d been there.

They had left Corellia in search of jedi and that was what brought them to where they now were, roaming the streets of a not so far away planet and discussing how exactly, they were going to attract the attention that they sought.

Leliarre didn’t want to really hurt anyone. At least, not someone who didn’t deserve it. And Maxim, well, he didn’t care much at all. He just wanted the chance to begin to test the skills he was learning – it didn’t really matter what he did to get the attention of a jedi – so long as he got it.

He turned to his accomplice in crime, his dark eyes mirroring the dark aura that naturally surrounded him. He carried in his hand the lightsaber he’d acquired when sparring with a fellow member of the Order, Odin. He was rather eager to put it to use.

“So where do you suppose they’re hiding?” He asked before glancing about, as if to find one in a nearby alley.

Leliarre shrugged, outwardly very collected. The girl was dressed head to toe in black, as usual, though tonight her raven hair was brushed back into a pony-tail to avoid it getting in her eyes overmuch. "Lurking around someplace I suspect."

The Sith apprentice had an air of strength and confidence about her, and her coal black eyes glittered with excitement. No more than a year ago, there had been a time when she was hiding on the streets, alone. Prey. Tonight... tonight, she was the hunter, and it thrilled her. It was time to prove what she was capable of.

It was true part of her was somewhat reluctant to kill, but she told herself it didn't matter. Likely it might not come to that. And if it does, who cares? The other part of her thought defiantly. Not me. Why should I care?

No one cared about me.

Leliarre shook off all thoughts of that for now and focused. "We could look around for them awhile, I guess..." She, too, took a glance around, instinctively. "Might be quicker though if we just start causing trouble right now. That way they come to us." Already her mind was racing with possibilities to draw them out.

Maxim had broken the law plenty of times. The difference between then and now was that when he’d done it before he’d done it for some stupid sort of fraternity prank. Or as a hazing ritual on athletic teams. To get into bars underage.

He hadn’t ever actually done anything that a normal kid his age didn’t do. But now, with Leliarre there, he felt some sort of pressure to actually do something so she wouldn’t think he was chicken. Or worse, she’d maybe figure out that the bravado he put on was often just an act.

He’d been the one to suggest this trip – wanting to prove something to his master, mostly. Wanting to prove to her that he wasn’t the screw-up she thought he was.

A determined expression crossed over his face, the usual scowl set firmly in place. Outwardly, same as Leliarre, he seemed confident and rather nonchalant. Inside, his heart was pounding – until he was reminded of Lady Vader’s disapproving stare, and Odin’s taunting laugh. This changed everything.

The saber he held ignited and he struck out at the nearest thing to him – a hapless pedestrian who now had his forearm amputated. As the man cried out in pain, falling to his knees and holding his arm to him, Maxim found that he felt no sense of remorse.

The power of welding such a weapon, the power of the dark side had quickly taken him into its clutches, blinding his eyes and his heart with its seductive strength. And slowly, a sly expression crept over his features as he turned to Leliarre.

Leliarre watched the man kneeling on the pavement and clutching his arm to himself. A slight shock had gone through her as Maxim had suddenly attacked, and then it faded. The girl simply stared at the man blankly as though he were a bug of some kind, sensing his pain through the Force and finding it not at all what she'd expected. It felt... succulent.

She grinned at Maxim darkly. Let's get to it then, she thought.

The girl glanced around and, spotting a speeder coming, ran suddenly into the street. The people inside yelled in surprise and the driver skidded to a halt, too late.

It didn't matter. Leliarre leaped onto the hood of the speeder before it could slide into her. With a single concentrated thought, the girl sent a push through the Force at the windshield. The glass exploded inward at the people inside. She could hear them screaming - whether from fear or from pain, it didn't matter to her.

Leliarre jumped onto the roof and ignited her lightsaber. An aura of darkness emanated from her, and she noticed and exulted in it. Power! Her original hesitance completely forgotten, the girl searched for more victims.

They can try and stop us.

Southstar was sitting in a club sipping an ale and watching the Twi'lek dancers. Close to the door he heard the whining and screeching of a speeder coming to a halt. Then the shattering of transparisteel. "What the..." He thought to himself. Something was going on out there, hopefully a fight. A little action to spice up the day would be nice. He stood up and exited the club.

Surveying the scene he saw a speeder with its window broken, and a few young aliens screaming and crying with pieces of transparisteel in their faces as well as the rest of their bodies. Then he noticed Maxim and a woman who he didn't recognize. "What's going on here?" he called to his friend from the Palace.

Recognizing his friend, Maxim nodded in greeting.

"Just a little...fun." He answered as he closed the distance between where he had been standing and the speeder that Leliarre had caused to crash.

She stood triumphantly on the hood of it and he couldnt help but think the look suited her rather well. She'd break out of her quiet shell, he thought - he'd be sure of it.

"Feel like joining us?" He asked as he reached the door of the speeder, his hand resting on handle for a moment as he looked to Southstar.

Lillian squeaked in the backseat, huddled in the floorboards with her hands clamped over her mouth. She had decided to take the advice of Ryla and get out on her own, so she had taken the cab out to a shopping mall. A harmless trip, until these three had arrived.

"Please don't let them find me..." she prayed softly to herself, trying not to cough.

Leliarre's momentary bloodlust dimmed slightly as she noticed the newcomer. Jumping lightly off the vehicle she looked Southstar over. Maxim seemed to know him. She didn't ask the man's name, waiting for him to answer Maxim's question first.

She didn't notice Lillian... yet.

Maxim Vasilijev

His question to Southstar had been more rhetorical than anything else. Whether or not Southstar chose to join them, he and Leliarre had a plan and they were going to see it through to the end.

He turned back to Leliarre.

“He’s from the Order.” He stated, feeling a hint of her doubt about the newcomer to the scene.

And then he flashed her a grin and pulled open the back door of the speeder. It was there that he found Lillian cowering on the floor.

“Look what we have here….” He commented, saber in one hand, the other still on the door, holding it open for Leliarre to see.

Lillian shrieked, backing away to the other side of the car, and coughing violently until blood spattered her clothing. Oh no, no! He...he...might...

"Pleeeaaasee...don't...don't..."

She coughed blood once more, stopping her pleas for mercy.

Leliarre looked inside and chuckled at the frightened passenger. "Looks like somebody just got off at the wrong neighborhood."

The girl once again leaped onto the roof, walking casually back and forth upon it. She hummed to herself quietly. Abruptly she stopped walking, standing perfectly still and silent. Then, suddenly she jumped down next to the other side of the speeder and glared through the window Lillian was backed up against.

"Boo!"

Lillian shrieked, shifting to the center of the car. She hadn't expected Leliarre; she'd been too focused on Maxim. The poor girl hugged her knees to her chest, shutting her eyes against them both, coughing blood in her fear and praying silently in her mind for salvation...

As Maxim is opening the cab door, two rather strange individuals appear about a quarter block away. The shorter of the two, still tall by normal standards hears Lilian's shriek and starts running toward her while drawing both of his lightsabers.

The other figure, who stands head, shoulders and chest taller than the first, turns to get his bearings at the sound of the shriek. Shortly there after, a pocket of nothingness, similar to the effect of a ysalamiri, appears in the Force where he is standing.

As the behemoth, glad in a type of armor none recognize, starts to move, weapons appear mounted on his fore arms.

"We've got company!" Southstar shouted to his fellow Sith; only noticing one person. He unclipped his lightsaber, newly constructed, and ignited it, a dark blue blade extended from the hilt. Using the Force to fill his body as well as guide him he jumped into the air over the cab but landed roughly. Southstar immediatly got up and charged towards the only opposer he saw, the man with two lightsabers.

Southstar did not know what this man's intentions were, but things seemed to suggest he was opposed to what was going on. Southstar looked ahead at him Two lightsabers...this guy probably knows what he is doing. But who knows, maybe he doesn't. Southstar couldn't extinguish the thought that he might be over his head. Regardless of his thoughts, Southstar's lightsaber clashed with the man.

At the sound of Southstar’s warning, Maxim turned from the speeder to see his brethren charging an opponent with two lightsabers. He gave a quick glance to Leliarre, who seemed perfectly capable of handling Lillian, and turned away from the speeder. Though he knew Southstar to be capable with a saber, he wasn’t sure how he would fare against two, and was more than willing to assist in the battle.

He began running to where Southstar was now engaged in battle some distance away.

Saber still in one hand, he reached for the blaster with his other and paused in his running for only a moment as he took aim and fired in the direction of the one with two sabers. He had not yet seen the oddly armored companion.

Leliarre glanced at her two companions running to engage the coming threat. She was tempted to go and help... but really, there wasn't much sport in three against one. Besides, she didn't want to spoil their fun. If it looked like thei were getting into trouble, she'd go after them.

The girl, for the moment, contented herself with Lillian.

Walking casually to the other side of the ab with the open door, she looked in, giving Lillian a predatory smile.

"Why not come on out? It's no fun if you stay in there."

Noting that there is only one person harrassing the civilians in the crahsed speeder, Nequa activates his Force user combat module, lights off his gravity drives and launchs at the last aggressor.

Without warning, Nequa stikes the sith apprentice in the hand sending the pistol flying, while the Force nullification field wraps itself around him and the female attacker.

"Surrender now and you shall live. Fight, and you shall die", Nequa intoned in a deep bass, slightly reptilian voice as he forcibly removed the females grip on the speeder door.

The shot missed, though not by far as the target, Balin, leaped into the air. Only a moment later, Maxim stood beside Rast as the two stared up at the one holding two ignited sabers atop the lamppost.

“Perhaps you might come out and play instead of hanging out up there….” Maxim suggested, the tone of his voice taunting.

He hadnt yet seen the one who had taken Leliarre into his grasp.

Ahhhhh….this was much better. Sort of. At least, it was what he’d been looking for. Some sort of conflict that he could use to prove himself in.

He raised his own lightsaber, keeping in mind the lessons taught to him by Odin and Southstar while sparring. And of course, the repeated warnings and admonitions of his master, Lady Vader.

His first strike wasn’t a full out blow, but rather an almost tentative effort – something meant to force the man into engaging his weapons. He knew charging to be a pure mistake – it had given him the scar he now bore on his mid section when he had made a simple mistake sparring.

One of a Jedi's greatest attributes is stealth. Do not allow your presence to be known until it is a necessity to do so. Terran reviewed Master Marcus Elessar’s teachings in his mind. So far, he had remained unidentified. He was becoming very strong in the Force, and it allowed him to do things he never thought possible. Mostly, however, it allowed him to remain calm and focused. It taught him—step by step—and he found strength in serving it. He hadn’t understood this sort of patience until he had grown in his training and maturity.

From the side alley, he stood. His deep brown cloak remaining hidden in the daytime shadows of the tall buildings and side streets of the urban environment, only his eyes were visible within the hood. His original reason for being here was simple: research. That’s generally the only reason why he left the Temple unless it was for the purpose of a mission of any sort. Coming to peruse a dirty, beaten text pertaining to an old time called “The Clone Wars,” he found his mind uncharacteristically wandering. He was an excellent student and very attentive reader, but for a reason unbeknownst to him, he could not keep his attention span. Taking a break, he left the small library for a breath of fresh air. It only brought him more confusion. The Force had called to him, and he could tell.

He followed it blindly until it took him to this scene. Hurt. Someone was hurt—someone killed, possibly—and he could not ignore it. From his vantage point, he found a second to meditate and think back on his training. What would Master Elessar recommend? he thought. The thought graced his mind—those who cannot defend themselves must be defended. His choice was made.

He scanned the scene assessing it. From what he could tell and what he could feel, there was a mixed group before him. Two . . .maybe three Sith apprentices of some sort. They weren’t very powerful he could tell, be he wondered if—in the worst case possible—he would be able to take them all alone. Then the other group was revealed. One man whom he could not identify due to a large seat of what was apparently some sort of mobile armor suit. It looked rather capable, but as with all things technological, was not overly intimidating to Terran. Furthermore, it seemed to be engaging one of the Sith. In some way, perhaps it was in league with The Order. The other figure was male and wielded to lightsabers—particularly strange for a face he did not recognize. Possibly Dark Jedi—possibly rogue Jedi—Terran didn’t know and it would be no good taking chances and engaging anyone. He didn’t believe in violence and would end this situation without using any if possible.

Terran’s heart found it’s way into Lillian’s, and he could feel the fright and terror within the girl. He let his aura grow—meditating—and let his thoughts escape his mind. Soft, warm energy left his body, making it’s way to Lillian as she could feel a moment of relief from the stress around her. Suddenly, he felt the connection made through the Force, and he could feel himself in her mind. Who was she? He couldn’t tell—she was so scared. Her name. . her name. . .her name was Lillian. Lillian. That was all he needed.

Lillian. . .Lillian. . . His voice was incredibly comforting—firm but protecting, as a guardian or father. Lillian, I know you can hear me. Everything’s going to be fine. It’s all going to be ok. Right now, I need to you to listen to me. Listen very carefully. As Lillian’s aggressor was being engaged by the armor clad vigilante, Terran knew this was the time for her to move.

I need you to stay very calm, and get out of the hovercar through the far door—away from those who frighten you. Quietly and quickly, come to my voice. You will find me. I am here, Lillian, and I won’t let anyone harm you. Go! Terran closed his eyes and meditated into the Force, allowing it to keep his mind open and guide her to his position.

Lillian curls into a ball, shrinking away from Lelliarre, trying to block the carnage from her mind and coughing blood in her panic. She feels sick and feverish. The voice in her mind fades in and out of focus. Lillian...you can...fine...listen...I won't let anyone harm you...

"Lo...Logic?"

Southstar now stood in the open between two conflicts enraging around him. The man he had first moved to attack had skipped away to a lampost and was now dueling with Maxim. Also now he had noticed Balin did not come alone. A man or alien in an armor suit was harassing Lelliarre. Southstar thought to himself for a moment. If he had something like an ionization bomb, the armored man could be taken down. However, Southstar did not have any ionization weapons.

He glanced towards Maxim and saw Balin was indeed very skilled with a lightsaber or two. Southstar began to run towards Maxim and his opponent. He may be talented with a lightsaber, but maybe he was not so talented with the Force. Filling his mind with the Force and amplifying it with his anger he prepared to release a Force push and did. The push was just strong enough to knock Balin off his feet. Any stronger and Southstar might deplete the energy needed to continue to fight.

With the interruption of their mental link felt, Terran could tell that he had lost her. She wasn't dead--no--but she wasn't doing real well. He had to act fast. He didn't like this one bit. Pressure. He liked things to be easy, and it wasn't going to be an easy task to get out there and save her. Hopefully, the armor-clad warrior would be able to buy him some time to move.

For right now, all he could was watch. Watch and wait. As soon as a clear path formed, Terran would make his move. Speed to the car, grab her up, speed away. Sounded reasonable and altogether logical. It as just a matter of exposing himself minimally and at the precise, exact moment when it counted.

Keeping himself hidden--from light and sensing through the Force--Terran closed his eyes to meditate. He let himself relax--for a Jedi was at his best when his physical body was fully relaxed and his psyche was clear and calm. He smiled to himself. This girl was going to be fine. Somehow, he knew things would work out ok. He had a powerful all and on that fact he would rely.

The Force was on his side.

Much to the surprise of Maxim and Southstar, Balin being on his back was a more dangerous proposition because there were now two of him- one on his back facing Maxim, the other squaring off against Southstar.

The Balin on his back made a series of kicks and swings that forced Maxim to back up lest he be brought down and carved to pieces. Then he leaps to his feet and sets in the same mid/mid combo he was in when he got knocked over.

The second Balin says, "Bold move for one so weak in the Force" as he hits Southstar with a Force push that sends him back across the street and into a lamp pole. Setting into a high/mid guard combo, Balin approachs the apprentice cautiously.

Both say in unison, "Come children, time to teach you in a way that no Sith can."

The little droid is just a little unimpressed with the scene unfolding before him. It stands away from battle, out of range of any combatant, but makes no move to join the melee, opting to use it's many sensors to keep tabs on the battle.

Right now, Logic is disappointed. Disappointed in the girl Lillian. True, it is her guardian, but Logic would rather she learned to defend herself. It's sensors have heard and seen everything. She's let it down, big time. Logic decides that it will bide it's time, much like the hidden Jedi that it can see clearly, outlined in red on it's heat sensors. “What the?!” Maxim wasn’t exactly sure how his opponent had divided into two as it had. He’d had no experience with illusions thus far and so the thought did not occur to him that this was what might be happening.

(ooc note: That is whats going on, right?)

He stepped back, watching in confusion for a moment as his opponent made a series of kicks and swings and then returned to a defensive position. He half wished he’d just drawn his blaster and fired at the exhibitionist.

Maxim rolled his eyes.

“And just what is it you presume to be able to teach?” He retorted.

Southstar began to fight the darkness that crept over his eyes and mind. If he blacked out... there was no telling what could happen to him in such a vunerable state. Telling himself that he couldn't pass out, he struggled to stand up.

Looking ahead he saw two of the same enemies, he rubbed his eyes to make sure his vision was clear and it was, there were two. It was time to end this. Southstar reached into a sack he usually kept with him and found a single thermal detonator. He shortened the fuse to explode in seven seconds upon releasing the safety. He cocked his arm back and threw the detonator.

Watching as it soared through the air towards Balin, his clone, or illusion. It would fall eight feet away from Balin, far enough to be out of reach and close enough to catch him in the atomizing 20 feet diameter. Southstar leaned against the bent lampost, trying again to fight the darkness.

His movements didn't completely keep him from harm, the blade cut past the young woman and cut into his leg. Balin’s series of slashes and stabs might have been designed to disembowel a person in three hits – fortunately for Maxim, that plan was somewhat flawed, and he did not end up disemboweled.

In his redirection of the slashes and stabs, mostly on the defensive, he did misjudge enough that one of them caught him high in the ribs, searing the skin and beginning to cut into the bone.

He felt his face blanch at the pain and perhaps in the realization that this was a battle – a real battle – and it wasn’t the same as sparring. His life was on the line.

He stumbled back, trying to put some distance between he and Balin. It was then that the shots came. They were fired from behind him, though not at him. They seemed to be aimed for the companion of the one/two that fought he and Southstar, and a quick glance revealed a droid he did not recognize. All the same, he was thankful for the help.

The battle with Maxim had carried Balin out of the way of the shot before it even got close. Seeing that he had scored a fairly serious hit and that his last combo had not worked as intended, Balin pulled back to contemplate his next move.

Gaywyn, being in the everpresent state of mind, sent the shot back in the general direction that it had come. Without another thought, he continued his advance toward where the apprentice was laying.

Well since he hadn't lifted off yet, he decided to remedy the situation right then and there. Gently laying the unconcious girl on the ground, Nequa rounded on his attacker to find a droid that was now missing an arm.

"I see one of the Silverwind twins decided to return the shot. Tis a pity that he hadn't thought to aim for your power source. Eh, who cares, just means I get to have more fun shredding your sorry tin hide." Nequa says as he fires an ion bolt from one of his fore arm mounted cannons.

Were Logic human, it would sigh in exasperation. As a mechanical entity, it can simply deliver the facts to Nequa.

I promise you, she is nowhere near death. She is afflicted with an illness that weakens her physically, and makes her prone to fainting spells, especially when under such duress as this attack. Symptoms of this disease include high fever, chills, and violent coughing, sometimes with blood. With a few days rest she will recover.

What Logic wouldn't give for the ability to insert a pleading tone into it's speech....

If you truly mean to help her, you must not fight me. Instead, take a chance. Trust me! As a droid, I lack the creativity to lie. Please, accompany me to the Jedi Order. She will be able to recover in safety there.

Terran still remained hidden--watching Logic. He trusted the droid, simply because he had seen him at the Jedi Order. Not to mention the fact that he had heard several statements of praise for the droid that protected Lillian Snow. It was loyal, logical, and was negotiating with the armored vigilante. Terran agreed with Logic, and would see to it that this action was carried out.

Afterall, when negotiations fail, the Jedi must be prepared to act, he thought. He would do just that. His goal: get Lillian to the Jedi Order. Whether that was in the hands of he, or Logic, or an escorted Nequa was of no consequence--as long as she was safe and returned.

"Why would I want to go to the Jedi Order? That's akin to me walking into the middle of a live fire excersise with no armor on. Sorry bub, ain't going to happen, unless you or that jedi who attempts at hideing can guarantee the safety and well being of my friends and I." Nequa says pointing right at Terran.

Shouting at Terran, "Might as well stop hiding, we both know you are there. Unless you mean to take up the fight with me or one of the twins."

The Order knows better than to attack a person who helps one of their Padawans, but if that is how you feel, I won't force you go come with me.

Logic drops it's defensive posture and walks forward, resetting its arm from a cannon to a hand.

Either way, I'm taking Lillian there.

Seeing the droid advance, Nequa levels both arms at him and charges his ion cannons. "Don't force me to do this. I have no proof that you are who you claim to be. Droids can be programmed to lie as easily as they can be programmed to tell the truth. Now if you can provide proof, then I will be the one to carry her back to the Jedi Order, with you as escort."

On his back, a carrier of sorts opens. Wrapping his tail around her body just below the shoulders, Nequa gently lifts the girl toward the carrier, and - what he hopes is - safety.

"I am proof," Terran spoke, coming into view. Still somewhat astonished as to exactly how Nequa had found him. He had practiced the art of stealth for some time and through the Force had managed to hide himself well. Aparently, however, he had slipped up in some way. It was no use to hide himself now.

"I am Terran Starek, Jedi Padawan of Master Marcus Q'Dunn of the Greater Jedi Order," he spoke, letting down his hood so that his face was seen. He wore the traditional robes of the Jedi Order--a deep brown outer robe draped over several beige under tunics/robes. A tanned, brown belt was drawn across his waist. On his lift hip hung the mark of a Jedi--a lightsaber.

"I can confirm Logic's claim. He is indeed of The Jedi Order." Terran's voice softened. "Your help in rescuing this young one is much appreciated, friend. I assure you--it will not go unnoticed. Now, we face a decision. You may either accompany us to The Jedi Order, so that we may see Lillian there safely. Or, you may hand Lillian over to Logic and we will see that she arrives safely. This is your choice to make--and yours alone." Terran spoke and stood, keeping an eye on the fighting that was near him.

"Surprised I found you are we? The one thing no-one can hide are bio-signatures. And force users have a unique twist in that signature that no other living being has. Its not hard to spot things when you know what to set sensors to look for. As for the young lady, you may lead but none may carry her save me. Jedi you may be, but human you still are. Any trace or hint of anything... unpleasant and I will disappear without a trace."

"Now lead the way and pray no sith appear."

Logic shrugs. Whatever. Either way, Lillian will be back in the safe custody of the Jedi, and it can bring the problem of her weakness before the Council. It turns and walks toward the looming Jedi compound twenty or so blocks away.

If you must, you may...though you are a human yourself beneath that metal shell, yes?

Dropping the holo-disguise Nequa reveals his true appearance. He stands 10' 3" and has a wing span of 15'. His tail is 12' long, and as demonstrated earlier, is prehensile. His neck is close to 3' long and his head is roughly 18 in. long. He is very beefy in the upper torso, and his legs aren't tiny either.

His eyes glowing with a silver-white radiance he says, "Does this look even remotely human to you?"

Terran was taken back by the fact that Nequa apparently could read his mind. He had made no mention of the fact that he was suprised the. . . warrior had found his location--he had only thought it. He found it rather unlikely that the creature could use the Force well enough to read his thoughts, but dismissed the investigation as soon as he realized that he didn't care.

"I trust that you will see to it that Nequa arrives at The Order with Lillian safelY?" Terran looked in the direction of the droid. He nodded and Terran smiled. "Thank you for your great service, Logic. Lillian is lucky to have you near." He threw his hood back up to cover his face, turning to walk away.

"I'll make my way back to The Order and send word of yours and Nequa's arrival with the girl. I bid you safe passage, and may the Force be with you." He nodded and jogged back to his shuttle.

Southstar
Apr 9th, 2003, 05:51:40 PM
Southstar could hear faintly the conversation between Nequa, Logic and soon Terran. While they were arguing Southstar began to wonder where Leliarre was, he could really use her help now. He looked behind him and Gaywyn was approaching. Southstar looked to see Gaywyn's vision ws blocked by the bulky speeder and reached under the speeder and placed a small bomb he brought with him also. This was the last of his supplies, after this he was down to a lightsaber.

Southstar held the remote in his hand and readied himself to press the detonator. He filled himself with the force and took off running, his legs energized with the force. He pressed the button just as Gaywyn began to pick up the chase. The blast threw Southstar to the floor and removed a decorative stone face to a building. Southstar looked back to see a cloud of smoke and rubble. He expected Gaywyn to walk away from the blast, probably with a clone or something...this guy seems to be invincible.

Sensing the bomb as it is going off, Gaywyn leaps to the side while raising a force shield. But he wasn't fast enough. Getting up and dusting himself off, Gaywyn finds that there was a decent amount of damage done to his clothing. Feeling a stinging pain in his arm as he flexes, Gaywyn removes the piece of metal that had cut his arm. Checking his head for injuries, Gaywyn finds a small slash running the length of his fore head and into the left sideburn. Using the Force, Gaywyn stops the bleeding and finishes picking himself up.

"Smart kid. That kind of thinking on his feet will be his salvation. I pity the kid should he ever fight Nequa, that kind of thought may well be his undoing." Gaywyn mumbles to himself as he walks out of the dust cloud like the T1000 robot he had seen in an archaic movie.

Logic nods and picks its pace up, glancing to Lillian to check her condition. Her chest has stopped heaving; she's not breathing, and a cold sweat stands out on her forehead. Before long the entrance to the Jedi complex is within sight.

(OOC: Continued here (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=28671) for Nequa)

Southstar
Apr 10th, 2003, 06:02:25 PM
This was just what Southstar expected, Gaywyn would walk out and...Southstar ignighted his lightsaber and charged. He had anticipated the stone crumbling would create a cloud of dust, making it hard to breathe and more importantly to see. He could faintly see a silhouette of Gaywyn in the cloud which meant Gaywyn would be lucky if he could see Southstar. He wrapped a piece of cloth from his robes around his mouth and nose to prevent dust from entering and squinted his eyes as he entered the dust.

He charged into the dust allowing the force to enter his body, amplified by his anger and hatred, and power his body beyond normal human limits. He ignighted his lightsaber just before coming close enough to Gaywyn where he would be able to see him. Now Southstar began his attack the quickest he could swinging his lightsaber down on Gaywyn.

Snapping a lightsaber on, Gaywyn blocks the stroke and punches the apprentice square in the nose. Watching the apprentice reel from the suuden impact Gaywyn says, "Only fools rush in when they barely know what kind of an adversary they are fighting" which is slightly muffled by the dust mask he is wearing. Taking a step back Gaywyn sets up in a deffensive posture.

Southstar immediatly got up and continued to fight. He wouldn't be stopped by a punch to the nose. He attacked with a downward slash now on Gaywyn's left shoulder.

Going with the momentum of the swing, Gaywyn lets the shot by and kicks Southstar hard on the side of his left knee. As the sith collapses, Gaywyn again steps back and sets in a defensive posture. "Come on, is that the best you can do?"

Southstar

Words can not describe how angry Southstar was. He would not be defeated. He would not allow it. He swung low with his lightsaber and naturally, Gaywyn jumped and avoided the slash. Southstar didn't stop, he swung his fist at Gaywyn's head. He moved his head back but Southstar got the dust mask and tore it from his face. No time to stop now, he swung his fist low and hit Gaywyn in the diaphragm. Surely if Gaywyn breathed he would have a deep inhalation of dusty air inside his lungs.

Jumping with the shot to his diaphram, Gaywyn is unphased by the shot. At the peak of the jump, Gaywyn brings the hilt of his other lightsaber into a forceful contact with Soutstar's left temple while kicking off to get distance between the two. While the apprentice was still stunned, Gaywyn uses the Force and slams Southstar into the side of the nearest building.

Clearing the dust cloud, Gaywyn exhales and proceeds to take a single deep breath. He then sets in a defensive posture and waits for the kid to come out.
