Kel Dor seeks a spar (open)

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr walked into one of the many training rooms of the Jedi Academy. Peering around from behind his tightly fitted goggles, he saw that this room was exactly like all the rest. Nothing but a small square room with a few accessories. Picking a spont against the farthest wall from the door, the Kel Dor sat down with his legs folded.

Channeling into the Force, Sarr raised himself so he was levitating a few inches from the ground and began to meditate. This was something he had tried and found out it was quite enjoyable and was good for training his mind. Sending out a force signal, he hoped someone would care to join him for a spar.

[Alpha]

Satine looks up from his work, and smiles, feeling the call. He gets up, and grabs his weapons belt, the Jedi Master hurrying to the training room where the source of the call was.

The silver haired Jedi pokes his head in, and smiles. Someone he hadn't met before...Though, of course, there were many new Jedi he hadn't met yet.

"Hello. You looking for a spar?" he asks, his silver eyes shining bright. "Would you mind it against a Master?"

[Sarr Koon]

The Kel Dor rose himself higher in the air and brought his legs down so he was standing up. This was the first time he had met this Jedi Master in his time at the academy. Sarr had never sparred with a Jedi Master and knew it would be quite a challenge. He was up for any new challenges, thinking that all they could do was teach him more.

"I don't see why not. This will be first time testing my combat experience against a Master, I hope I don't dissapoint you. My name is Sarr Koon by the way."

The Kel Dor strode across the room and offered his clawed hand to the Jedi Master.

[Alpha]

Satine takes the hand, and smiles.

"My name's Satine Capashen."

Releasing the hand, he raises an eyebrow. "Empty hand, or weapons?"

[Sarr Koon]

The Kel Dor's arm dropped down to hang by his side. He thought about which style he would prefer to use for the spar.

"Well, weapons would be good to start out with. Then perhaps a change would be good. What do you think?"

[Alpha]

"Sounds good." he says, nodding.

[Sarr Koon]

The Kel Dor took off his cloak and flung it to the side. It hit the wall with a soft thump and fell almost silently to the ground. He unhooked one of his combat sabers and held it in his hand. As he ignited it, the spectacular blue blade sprang forward with a whirring sound. The color lighted his face to give him a more eerie look.

"Whenever your ready, sir."

[Alpha]

Satine reaches underneath his heavy leather duster, and brings out one of his two sabres, thumbing the button.

A disturbing, blazing black blade shoots out of the hilt with a long protracted hiss, the thing sounding almost alive. Satine nods, giving a grin.

"Ready."

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr nodded to Satine. Thinking he should try and start with something simple so he could measure the Jedi Master's technique and style, the Kel Dor opened up with a quick dask toward the Master and a horizontal slash.

[Alpha]

Instead of blocking, Satine puts up a small Force shield, the attack rebounding off it. Satine the counters with a quick thrust.

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr swung his saber across and parried the Master's saber thrust. Then he to countered with a saber thrust to the mid-section.

[Alpha]

A flip over Sarr's head, and Satine neatly dodged the attack, landing in a crouch, and then slashing out.

[Sarr Koon]

The Kel Dor jumped in the air and backflipped. Satine's blade passed harmlessly beneath. Sarr landed on the floor softly and stood up. He knew Satine was only testing him so far, the pace would quicken soon. Sarr leaped forward and reversed his lightsaber in his hand and swung upwards.

[Alpha]

Satine blocks, and nods in approval.

"Very good so far. See if you can keep up."

Satine pushes against Sarr's sabre, hard, knocking it out of line, and then spin kicks.

[Sarr Koon]

Satine's kick connected and sent the Kel Dor tumbling to the floor. He quickly recovered and jumped back to his feet. Sarr spun around and slashed hard at Satine.

[Alpha]

Bringing his sabre in line, Satine's arm is jarred as he blocks the force of the blow, sending a Force push aimed at Sarr.

[Sarr Koon]

The Kel Dor took the force push and was blown backwards. With skill, he was just able to stay on his feet and not fall down. Sarr went in with a series of hacks and slashes. Satine blocked each wth exceptional skill.

[Alpha]

Blocking the last of the slashes, Satine lashes out with a kick intended to knock Sarr off his feet.

[Sarr Koon]

The Kel Dor spun just in time to avoid the impact of Satine's kick. Sarr faked a high slash and then dropped to the ground in an attempt to sweep Satine's legs out from under him.

[Alpha]

Satine jumps over the sweep, and then aims a kick at Sarr's chest, his sabre held in defense.

[Sarr Koon]

Taking the fast kick square in the chest, Sarr is thrown in the air. As he is going backwards, his hands reach over his head and make contact with the ground. Springing off them he lands safely on his feet. Sarr knew full well, that Satine could take him out at any time if he so chose.

"Care if I go with 2 sabers?"

[Alpha]

Satine shrugs. "Go ahead." he smiles. "This will make it more interesting.

Getting into a fighting stance, he brings his sabre into an e guarde position.

[Sarr Koon]

Holding the saber with the blue blade in one hand, he used the other to unhook his second combat lightsaber. Switching it on, the green blade sprang forward and beginning humming.

Sarr ran and spun around with one saber high and one swinging low.

[Alpha]

Satine, for a split second debates drawing his second sabre, but by then Sarr began his attack. Tapping into the Force, Satine jumps, goes horizontal, and spins, force shields erected around him, close to his skin. He spins in the middle, where neither sabre was, and, when the Kel Dor tried to bring one sabre in, it simply hit and bounced from the shield. Smiling, satine uses the Force to keep himself aloft, and then uses it again to push Sarr backwards.

The Jedi Master lands in a crouch, his sabre held to defend his head and shoulders.

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr had to lean forward to keep from falling backwards onto the ground. The Kel Dor was amazed at what the Jedi Master had just done. If only he could pull an awesome move like that...

Charging again he swung one of his sabers high and dropped low in another attempted leg sweep.

[Alpha]

Satine rolls to the side, and comes up standing, bringing his sabre around in a slashing attack.

[Sarr Koon]

Satine's blade stopped just in time to keep from slicing Sarr into two pieces. The Master had moved with incredible speed, and countered before the Kel Dor could react.

[Alpha]

Satine smiles and withdraws the glowing black blade, keeping it in a defensive position.

"You're keeping up well...Care to try again?"

[Sarr Koon]

The Kel Dor nodded to the Master. Holding one saber up and one down a little, Sarr unleashed a flury of attacks with each weapon and added a spin occasionally.

[Alpha]

Satine falls back on insticnts, giving ground as he blocks the furious assault on him. One stab got through, and weakly scored a burn on the Master's arm before a Force shield threw it away. Flipping, Satine gets some room, and then raises his free hand, a wave of Force power coming from it, and throwing the Kel Dor down.

[Sarr Koon]

Of all the things the Kel Dor had tried, the last one had been most effective. Satine still stopped him though, the Master was amazing. The only weakness he had found and Satine covered it quickly. Picking himself off the ground, he assumed a defensive position with both his sabers.

[Alpha]

Satine smiles and goes in for the attack, feinting to the left before stabbing to the right, followed by a quick kick.

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr was able to parry the saber stab but the kick got him. The quickness in which Satine performed his moves was astonishing. Never could the Kel Dor block 2 things at once from the Master. He reasumed a defensive posture and tucked away one of his sabers.

[Alpha]

Satine nods, and then looks at his arm, which was still throbbig a bit.

"Very good. I'm a bit crispy now..."

Starting off a new string of attacks, Satine slashes down and to the left, at the Kel Dor's shoulder.

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr sidestepped the first attack but the the second makes contact a small amount of contact with his shoulder. The smell of burnt flesh was in the air. It was minor and the Kel Dor didn't give much concern. Treatment could be used later. He was still not going to stop the spar until he could block all of Satine's attack unleashed in a round.

[Alpha]

Satine ducks under a slash, and then sidesteps another attack, bringing his sabre around in a parry, and then counters with a thrust, then a stab, then a slash...

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr swung his lightsaber and bloced the thrust and the stab. Then he brought his saber up and the two blades make contact. The hissing sound that the two blades made filled the room. The Kel Dor got some leverage and tried a hard push on his saber.

[Alpha]

Satine smiles, and brings up a Force shield around himself, shutting off his sabre. As the Kel Dor falls forwards, his sabre makes contact with Satine's shield. Satine brings the shield up, throwing Sarr backwards, and then reignites his sabre.

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr catches himself and keeps from falling forward. He was beginning to wear down and couldn't keep going much longer. Stamina was always an issue with the Kel Dor. Never could he go in combat for very long. Perhaps he could speak with his Master for advice. Reasuming a defense, he waited.

[Alpha]

Satine steps in with what looked like a wild flail, the Kel Dor merely dodgeing. Right into the path of Satine's booted foot. Smiling, Satine jumps back, and then stabs...

[Sarr Koon]

The pain from the kick wasn't as bad as to tke Sarr off his feet. He saw the stab come in just in time as to be able to dodge it. Dropping extremely low, the blade passed over his head. Then Sarr came up with an uppercut.

[Alpha]

Satine is knocked backwards by the force of the blow, and shakes his head to clear it. "Shoulda seen that coming..." he mutters to himself, spinning around, with another kick, and then straightening, punching out.

[Sarr Koon]

The kick hit the side of the Kel Dor's face but didn't interfere with his mask. For that he was glad. He was able to turn just in time as the fist went by him. The rapidity of his breathing increased as his stamina was nearly drained. What the hell? He would have one last go at the Jedi Master.

Sarr leapt backwards out of reach of Satine and landed in an attacking position. Sucking in a deep breathe he sprang immediatly forward and brought his saber down acroos Satine's body. The sabers connected, bringing his right elbow around, he aimed a shot at Satine's face.

[Alpha]

Satine only manages to partially dodge the elbow, the blow striking the Jedi Master in the forehead, causing him to give a lowgrowl on pain. Pushing his sabre, Satine then suddenly sweeps out with his feet.

[Sarr Koon]

He hit the ground and stayed their for a few seconds regaining his power. Sarr switched off his light saber and stood up. Attaching the saber to his belt he looked up at Satine.

"Well, that was quite a workout. Although I doubt you are nearly as fatigued as I. The name Master is very well fitting. Thank you, Satine." Sarr nodded.

[Alpha]

"Thanks to oyu as well." the silver-haired Master says, bowing. "It isn't very day a Padawan gives me such a good work out." He grins.

[Sarr Koon]

Sarr nodded his head to show his thanks.

"Thank you, sir. With more time and practice, i hope to prove even more formidable in the future."

[Alpha]

"Well, next time you fele up to a challenge seek me out."

[Sarr Koon]

"Thanks for the offer. I will be sure to take you up on it some day soon."

Bowing to the Master, he left the room.
