Remember my lil rant (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27995) from yesterday?

Well, it got some publicity (http://www.dailybreeze.com/content/bln/nmprotest12.html) and ppl got arrested. So predictable. :rolleyes

Of course, another predictable outcome was the newspaper overcounted how many protestors were actually there. My sis, who works at the top floor of the building, where just outside the protestors were protesting, counted somewhere in the vicinity of 20 to 25 ppl (she was borrowing someone's binoculars... don't ask me what someone on the fifth floor of a business building would be doing with binoculars in their office O_o). And I heard today from someone else that had to wade throught the small crowd, that there were actually more media personel than there were protestors.

Basically, take what the media says and divide it by two. Then you've got an approximate truth to the story.

They have a past record of gross exaggeration of protestor numbers. I am not suprised. I still think my idea for a sign would be great.

And the thing is funded by Quakers. WHO CARES that Quakers don't support a war? When have they ever. Yeah, great oatmeal, I get the picture. Its not like this is anything new :rolleyes
