Here I will be typing as I can my posts for an rp I plan where the Imperial Sovereingty seeks to assert itself as THE Empire by making an agreesive lunge at Coruscant.

Others may participate and post herein first your idea and a post if you wish. I am doing this in the little spare time I have, as life has again called me away, so it may be a while until we can actually impliment this plan. But when we do, it shall be big indeed.

" We suffer from a fortune of war. Ironic, no?"

" It is indeed."

Grand Admiral Desaria sighed, his face flashing a brief smile. His friend, the Field Marshal von Laang, strode beside, his head held high with a vestige of gaity on his facade as well.

" A broad swath of territory as large is ours would have been defended by a hundred Destroyers five years ago. Now we've barerly twenty!"

Von Laang could not resist the urge to twist the proverbial knife and interjected. " That is not taking into accout the fact that most of those are involved in the Senex Campaign."

Desaria snarled a friendly snarl, or at least as close to friendly as he could muster. His friend was right, and did him a great service by speaking frankly. While they stood separated by class and rank, their familiar bond allowed formality to lack. It is better to hear the truth through a grin than bear lies through a wall of stone.

" We've several large support craft left in the hinterland with dozens of escorts. That is dangerously insufficient. Any sizeable assets we have not engaged in Senex are mopping up Eriadu. We've managed to demonstrate in strength thus far, but one serious probe by Moff Sevon or the Republic and our weakness shall be apparent."

" Planetary defenses are the strongest in the Empire here!" von Laang blustered, himself the architect of the system defense and response plans.

" Yes, they are, and can hold their own. Breaking through to them with an armada in the way will be the problem."

" So what do you propose?"

The Sovereing Supreme Commander arched an eyebrow at his comrade's choice of words. While he took the advice and suggestions of his aides and staff very seriously, he needed to propose nothing to see his smallest whim's fruition.

" While the fleet is occupied and the Army recouperating, we must conserve our resources. As such, we must use what we have in abundance, the silent arm sitting behind their desks throwing rocks at each other."

The Falleen smiled wide. " You've started this already, haven't you?"

" You know me too well."

" And just which arm are you speaking of?"

Desaria smiled in turn. " Intelligence."

There was something about this he did not like. Try as he might, Jevvic could not place his fear as MaurenArms lift ascended its towering home. For the last two hundred levels, he went over his task and could find no danger or suprise; he was, after all, just an art dealer.

Still, the bad feelings remainded, and he was ill-able to explain them.

The digital display mounted above the stainless steel doors clicked over to twohundred-fifty, a droid voice booming that the lift's sole passanger had arrived at his destination. Before he remembered he was speaking to a machine, Jevvic replied his thanks. Shaking his head, he stepped out into a curving hall, going completely around the oval-esque tower. He lifted his head and strode across the polished floor and into an ante room. On a pale glass door was stenciled the words:

Office of the Director of Operations

" Mr. Jevvic," came a voice from the lanky artist's side. " The Director is waiting for you."

Jevvic turned to take in the sizeable visage of the portly secretary. An unpleasant likeness, undoubtedly the most efficient person in the building.

The set of doors parted to admit the guest who was immediately accosted by a strong air of grace and refinement which seemed to billow from every accoutriment in the chamber. In a modern business suit, the dealer felt dangerously under dressed.

" Mr Jevvic," a voice thundered from behind a chair. its height concelaing all but the arms of its occupant. " I have been expecting you. You have come highly recommended, so I am sure this is money well spent."

Doing his best not to fidget, the art dealer stayed as motionless as he could when the chair came about. Before it had come to bear on him, its male sitter stood. Of average height but a thick and powerful build, Jevvic knew that the muscles contained beneath his blue vest and jacket coul crush a man's skull without much effort. Nothing was known of the MaurenArms CEO, escpecially his past, so it was possible he had committed a violent crime or two; given his sophisticated yet ominous demeanor, one could not dismiss it.

" I collect art, as most do, Mr. Jevvic, and I have a piece I need appraised."

" Of course." Jevvic followed the CEO into an adjoining room with a magnificent view of the never renamed Imperial Palace. On every wall hung elegant tapestries, many done in the original form with hand paint and brush. Over a mantle sat a monstrous work, easily two meters long and half as wide. Against a setting sun, a dozen green-lined Incom T-65s were lifting off from the ruin-covered forests of Yavin IV to meat the spherical threat that loomed above. Only four copies had been made, the artist killed while observing a battle aboard a fallen Rebel corvette. Each one was valued at a near half billion credits.

Jevvic told Yair Serreti as much, who had simply arched an eye brow and gave an arrogant smile.

The art collected was stunned by the near apathtic tone of the man who had just had his personal worthy doubled.

" Mr. Serreti, with the Presidential election coming up, this work as with all patriotic works is likely to double in value!"

The Director grunted, and turned slowly bound for the main hall of his lavish office. Before departing, he muttered two words. " Take it."

Jevvi'cs eyes grew into enormous spheres. " What???"

" What I said, Mr. jevvic. It no longer pleases me, and has not for some time. I wish to be rid of it."

If possible, the dealer's eyes expanded ten times over. He wasted no time in calling his insurance company, an armed escort service, and the best movers on Coruscant. When Jevvic and his new found millions had departed, the entrepreneur stood alone again in the art room adjoining his office. He gazed on its replacement, a highly detailed and just as large renderence of Imperial City in the waning light of day. Barely visible in the setting sun was the outline of a six pointed symbol amidst a two ringed cirlce.

Like the sun, it will set and darkness will reign. Sure as the sun, she will rise again.

Bowing lowly, Serreti paid his respcet to the Imperial Crest.
