I decided to close it DV's post was nothing more than an attack on Jon and I can see that it is never going to end. We gave him a warning and still went on the offensive.

Hmm... while Jon didn't instigate this one, I have trouble feeling sorry for him. I agree with the closing of the thread - it wasn't going anywhere positive. But I also agree with DV's post; Jon is always patting himself on the back in the most overt ways possible.

I can't feel sorry for him either. He's buried himself too deep now to have anyone really stick up for him. He blows his own horn too much for anyone to handle.

It's all well and good to be confident in your future career, but he acts like he's going to run the world. And the rest of us can join him or die.

Getting a book deal doesn't imply talent...good grief. Flash enough dead presidents at a publisher, and they'll publish your stuff. There are places you can go to do this!

See, this is what annoys me. Cant you just accept someone wants him to write a book? You dont have to dislike him just because he has money.

No, but the boy has not an ounce of humility. He flaunts the fact that he's rich, and that just makes him waaaaaaaay worse.

Fett, if he had the talent to get published on his laurels, I'd concede a point. He doesn't. His writing is horribly bad. Like makes baby Jesus cry kinda bad. That being said, the only deal somebody that awful could get is if the subject was sensational, or if they paid a load of cash to get it printed. Since Jonboy's movie insights are about as sensational as mothballs, its gotta be the latter.

Content-wise what he has to say isn't bad, at least at his webiste, but the way its written flows about as nicely as trying to have a conversation through a wall.

A sample. I could get a job as an artist by taking in my portfolio, they wouldnt analyse everything ive done in the past few years.
