At long last, I have done it. I have reached 1826 posts!
Why celebrate this number? I pose a better question, why not? For, it was in 1826 that many great things happened!
For instance, was it not in 1826 that Georg Friedrich Bernhard Rieman, the great mathematician was born?
And the Royal Court of Hawaii signed a treaty that bound them to the United states?
Sephen Foster, the author of the illustious folk song "Camptown Races", and many other classic American Folk songs was born, and in the Southeast US and West Indies Dengue Fever broke out, killing thousands.
Robert Caine, of Caines Brewery of Liverpool was also born, and was able to bring to this earth an ale far too bitter to drink.
The United States turned 50, Edgar Allen Poe was enrolled at the University of Virginia, and Thomas Jefferson and John Quincy Adams both died.
Not to mention a lot of people in Austraila were arrested for petty crimes that are still easy to find when one searches for things that happened in 1826 on the internet.
So, you can see my great joy and jubilation in the fact that I have finally attained such a grand post count number. For who would not want to celebrate one of the first practical uses of the Chariot in Egypt in approximately 1826 BC?
