Good Lord. If I put on a rubber suit, dyed my boxers flat blue and wore them on the outside, would people give me $400 million to do a movie too?

Please say yes, my plan is already in motion.

No Vis, as Elektra was always a popular character who was always planned to have a movie. I dont care for you ;)

Popular character? Marvel Comics must have changed drastically since X-Men #50.

I shall maintain my inclination to don a rubber suit with all the necessary trappings, in the hopes that a Hollywood flat-foot walks by.

What a load of rot. I predict a complete WOMBAT. This ranks right up there in stupid movie ideas, up with Jackass and Freddy Gto Fingered.

*adds 4 bits and a sugar cookiee to Marcus' Elektra stinkitude determination*

Concur, I do.

This will ROCK :)

Garner is so hot. She is a goddess. If she ran for president now I'd vote for her and lick the dirt off her boots. lol, j/k

It was just an expression. But Garner is a goddess.

She deserves worship. :D

one of the things that makes garner hot is that she could not run for president as she does not meet the 35 years of age stipulation

Clearly so :)

I mean, the fact she was one of the first Diamond Select Toys is a total coincedence, right? ;)

Four questions for you.

1 - Have you seen Daredevil yet?

2 - Do you know much about Elektra in the comics?

3 - Why is it such a bad idea?

4 - How do you feel that similar is happening with Wolverine?

Garner is hot... very fine woman indeed. ^.^

Well now Wolverine is a different issue entirely! Now there's a character who's worth making a picture about. I purchased the Wolverine comics even when they switched to the crappy artist, made all the pages black on white instead of white on white, much thicker, and $1.75 instead of $1.25 for a 32-page issue.

They're relaunching him soon. Ironically, the writer of Elektra is doing it :)

"$1.75 instead of $1.25 for a 32-page issue."

$1.75 is incredibly cheap. Venom was always $2.95 when I used to buy it. Heck anything under $10 is cheap, but for a new comic, $1.75 is still really inexpensive...

Bear in mind, you plutocrat, that this was back in 1992 and 1993. Marvel Comic books had just gone up from $1.00 to $1.25 in 1991, and Wolverine was regarded as some sort of premium comic, so it had gone up from $1.50 to $1.75.

Also, I'm not referring to Venom. Venom was a six-part mini-series, so of course it was $2.95 per issue.

Back then, for regular marvel comics it was $1.25 for a 32-pager, $2.95 for a 48-pager with a foil cover, and $3.95 for a 64-pager with a foil cover. Please don't tell me that anything under $10 is cheap, I'm talking about 1st print current 32-page issues, not 200-page trade paperbacks.

Think Venom has an ongoing starting soon.

$10 for a comic is NOT cheap, not for a new issue anyway. Never has been, never will be. Back in those days I had trouble affording the 1.25-2.00 comics, never mind the $10 ones! :lol

I didn't say for a new comic. $10 for a comic is cheap, though, very cheap. Not for a new one of course. New comics are $10 sometimes, if they are trade paperbacks or special printings like Marvel Masterpieces or something. So yes, they have been, and yes, they will be again. Inflation will take its toll :)

$1.75 is still cheap, who cares if it was "more than the other Marvel comics at the time," lol. Books cost like $5 back then at least, comic books were still only $1.75, seems like a good deal to me. :)

I was into comics in the '92 to '94 area, too. I remember the prices well.

Venom is the most kick-butt character ever. hehe
