Anybody ever played NetHack?

It looks like a fun game, but I can't play it because Charley and I are boycotting it, although Charley doesn't know yet that we're boycotting it. Heck, I just found out myself a few minutes ago when I did a google search.

The only games I play are Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron (N64) and Shawdows of the Empire (also N64). Other than that, I don't play much video games....

Has anyone played Tie Fighter VS X-Wing for the computer? Is it any good? What are your thoughts?

I guess not, otherwise I'd be hearing rumors about a new Myst game and not Starcraft 2.

Oh for god's sake, Wil Wheaton is actually very, very cool. Stop associating him with a character that he played - he had no real control over that character and what it did.

Get over it already.

Nethack is sort of like Wumpas - text based, and a lot of fun. Dungeon style adventure hack n slash. It may not be bells and whistles like new games, but it's addictive and more fun than a few ASCII characters on a screen has a right to be.

Oy. If you must know, I hate Wil Wheaton because of his beliefs. I think he's a good actor, and I think he did a good job of playing Wesley Crusher.

Well, hate is the wrong word. I think he's wrong about a couple of things.
