My God(dess, technically only god but the song fit the situation)
I was knee deep in a sick love
I was cross eyed under your drug
Schizo savior, mad messiah
Fatal worship you inspired

Gone, I don’t believe in you now
I’ve seen too much. I don’t believe in you now
My God(dess)

You were counting on a freefall
You laid your bet I would lose all
Chalk up one less crucifixion
I kicked that sick, old addiction

Down, I don’t believe in you now
I’ve seen too much. I don’t believe in you now
My God(dess)

Now you see what you get when you lose yourself
What you get when you don’t know who you are,
when you don’t know who you are
My God(dess)

Blood covered the Sith entirely as she paused for a moment in her rampage. There was no emotion in her eyes, they just smoldered in quiet rage in the starless night. Bodies were piled about her and some burned slowly in the small fires of her destruction. The roars, snarls and growls of her pets could be heard in the distance as others met their ends by the fang and the claw. Stupidly, people kept gathering to see what was up, Videl's eyes narrowed as she swept swiftly forward and slashed three in half with one slash then cut down the remaining with both blades. Their pained cries in death fell upon deaf ears, to her, a body was just a shell. Besides in her mind, Videl was dealing with past demons, her use as an assassin after her parents' death and up until her brother's as well. Her trials through being in TSE dwelt there as well but in truth, the young Sith Master carried more demons than probably anyone around. For now, just took out her rage on the innocent, covering everything with their blood.

:: Sorsha followed the scent of death upon the air. The terror and madness that drifted like a fog through the air. There were fires, and bodies, and the scent of fresh blood. It was glorious. Soon, she found the source of it all ... and smiled ::

She didn't notice the new presence for a moment as she jumped up and slashed a speeder in half with her saber. It was slashed a few more times before it hit the ground, in a charred and bloody heap. Videl surveyed the damage for a moment before her head turned, she sensed someone familar.

"That it has...greeting Sorsha..."

Her hand raised to the left and shot off a jolt of force lightning, a agonized scream rent the air like a knife as a body burst into flames, Videl never let survivors go. Videl smirked wryly before looking back to Sorsha.

"The ones that could have put up a fight are gone or hiding in their home. And the ones that they put out now die just as quickly as these."

She smirked wryly as yet another tried to sneak off unnoticed. A young teen soon found himself lifted into the air then both his head and his legs pushed down and towards each other till a sickening crack was heard and he then fell limp. Videl wasn't done yet however, the body was then contorted again as she twisted it with the force then let it drop lifelessly to the ground.

The smell of blood was exceedingly hard to avoid for a predator, especially one like Vega. He caught onto it within instants of it being bled from the wound and could track it from parsecs off. Today it had lead him here, to the scene of a massacre where two figures stood – both of which he recognised.

“Reunion?” he interjected, as he watched from a safe distance, his arms folded over his chest.

Videl smirked, another one from the old days.

"Just been wreaking a little havoc."

By now her pets had returned and sat down on either side of her. Kuroi nosed her hand so she ran her fingers over his bloodied ears for a moment.

"Been a long time too, Vega."

“It appears as though you’ve already slain all the game in this area, Videl, you spoil sport,” he replied dryly as he surveyed the mounds of corpses, still convulsing with death spasms as their blood spilled out onto the streets.

The Lupine looked back up to Sorsha and smiled a serpentine smile.

“Though I have no objectives against looking elsewhere for more lively quarry.”

"Heh, I only killed those who came into this little area."

She smiled wryly again, the little area spanned quite a distance.

His senses where tingling, telling him that to the east the city was more densely populated; with skyscrapers and shops a-plenty, ripe for pillage, slaughter and the like. He gave a nod off in the direction he could feel all this life pulsing from and began to walk, withdrawing the hilt of Seraphim from his belt as he did so.

“Odd isn’t it … that we should all be here. Seems rather contrived, don’t you think?”

"Blood and death draws us out, always has...."

Another last idiot was seen out of the corner of her eye gawking at all the bodies. Might as well get one last victim here... She smirked and again raised this one with the force, she looked around for a moment before her victim was then slammed into one of the Jedi's idiotic statues and impaled on the figure's upraised hand. She laughed then at the empty look in her prey's eyes before following after Vega.

We may be human, but we're still animals.

Vega was already both rolled into one nice neat package – wolf and man merged into a hedonistic self-centred killing machine. He lived for riotous outings such as these, if only to see the looks on the faces of the people he slew.

“What have we here.”

The unlikely trio, on their path, had stumbled upon the first of what would undoubtedly be many unlucky victims. Just a short distance ahead there was a group of youths, thugs quite possibly, amassed outside a shop. One was barking commands out at the shop owner, whilst the others attempted to rough him up.

snaphisssssssss

The unusual sound didn’t bother them at all. That is, until one of the group dropped down to the ground, the reek of burning flesh tainting the air.

“Good afternoon gentlemen.”

Videl's eyes narrowed but she still smirked wryly as she picked one of them up by the throat.

"Think you're tough eh?"

She shook her head and scoffed.

"Pitiful creature, using a gun is so cowardly, how you not any strength of your own?"

She asked, leaning in close to his face as she crushed his wrist, she then drove two fingers into his laranyx then dropped him, sneering at the patheticness of these men. The store owner started to thank her but was stopped by her driving a sai into his chest.

'I'm not the good side, got it!"

The suffering of the youths was only added to as Vega drew back one hand into a fist at his side. Around, and in, his flesh white lightning crackled to life and in a split second, as Vega punched his hand forward, arced across the distance between the Lupine and the fleeing ‘innocents’, paralysing them in the fire the Sith Witch had brought upon them.

“This is far too easy!” he barked above the screams, which by now were drawing others out into the street.

The electricity died out of the air, but the tension it had created did not. The atmosphere itself was buzzing with the energy of the three darksiders combined.

"We seem to have a set of Sith on our hands," Pierce said into his commlink. "Evacuate the area surrounding my position. I'll move in and try to delay them for as long as possible. I'm not sure how effective I'll be without backup, so anyone you can send my way would be helpful."

The comm relay officer on the other end acknowledged his message and Pierce cut the device off. He swallowed a lump in his throat and gunned his speeder bike up to full throttle. I love you, Jax.

As he approached the scene, he spotted two figures, one of them creating pyrotechnics and the other blasting electricity. Pierce angled for the lightning bug, firing the speeder bike's forward cannon as a distraction that would hopefully allow him to get close.

Zeke is out doing some more grocery shopping when the call comes in.

"Jedi Padawan Pierce Tondry has confronted a number of Sith."

Zeke turns; the position of the fight is the store where he just finished shopping.

"How'd I miss 'em?"

He turns, running back in the opposite direction, still holding his groceries. The Jedi Knight reaches into his paper back and withdraws a piece of fruit, throwing it with inhuman velocity at the back of Sorsha.

"Padawan?" Zeke repeats. "Who's a Padawan?"

He drops the bag, juggling the various fruits and vegetables he bought with fair ease. He raises a brow at Sorsha...this one's familiar to him, but he can't place a name or a face.

"Me? I'm a Knight."

Videl
Mar 1st, 2003, 11:45:45 PM
Unfortunately for Pierce, he hadn't seen Videl who lurked a bit farther in the store, watching the others for a moment but the new playthings caught her attention. Her attention focused on the louder one, Pierce. Bird needs to lose his wings... Her usual wry smile crossed her features as she leapt swiftly to the front hood with enough force to send the front end down and flipping it. She jumped clear before it hit anything and watched it slam into the store, sending products and paper raining down everywhere. She lit her saber and walked towards it, hopefully her prey had survived, she wasn't done playing yet.

Pierce Tondry
Mar 2nd, 2003, 01:58:24 AM
Pierce certainly wasn't expecting anyone to jump onto the manuevering vanes of his speeder bike with such accuracy, even considering their light armor.

Or had he been? A hair before this nimble someone had blitzed by, he'd had an errant thought about clipping someone's wings.

Pierce had no time to worry about that now, though. He planted a leg in the dirt and managed to pull out of his spin through the air just before hitting what was probably a wall. The bike engine still hummed, and Pierce revved it a couple of times after engaging the brake.

Then he pulled out a silenced flechette pistol and gave the area he'd just come from a short spray of armor-piercing rounds while simultaneously revving the throttle again. With any luck, this newcomer would be looking for the bike to emerge from the shower of paper and not shots from a gun.

Videl
Mar 2nd, 2003, 02:11:53 AM
She cursed before dodging the spray of it as she jumped back and moved against the wall while it passed. If she had noticed it a second earlier, she would have stopped it but too little too late it seemed. She had forgotten that one little detail about Pierce, she had too much to remember though. Still Videl was an assassin, a gun wasn't going to stop her. It wasn't more than a minute before the blade of a knife caught Pierce in the right shoulder, embedded up to the hilt, she wasn't sure if that was the one he shot with but would slow the sneaky bugger.

Pierce Tondry
Mar 2nd, 2003, 02:24:23 AM
The knife whistled through the air, it's aim dead on. However, it missed because its intended target had already begun moving- after his spray of fire Pierce had disengaged the brake and was now speeding off on the bike again, firing wildly from its front blaster cannon to clear his exit route. He aimed behind him with a free hand and blindfired away the remainder of his flechette clip, seeking to distract Videl long enough for him to get in the clear.

Sage Hazzard
Mar 2nd, 2003, 03:53:54 AM
Sage didn't need to get the comm call, but he did. He was already on his way. Such a Sith gathering, especially with such blatant death toll and usage of the Dark Side, couldn't go unnoticed by any Jedi, especially not a Master.

"Acknowledged. This is Jedi Master Sage Hazzard. Inform the New Republic Special Forces and the Jedi Temple. We'll need full retainment on this area as well as a shipping container to ship their defeated bodies out of here."

The Jedi Master spoke into his comm unit. The operator on the other line no doubt had already done as he instructed, but Sage was making darn sure of it.

"I'm going in," he added, before flipping it off.

The fire, the screams, the death, the dark side, they were 300 yards ahead of him. Instead of taking the rash approach, as he did when it was needed, Sage walked slowly. He took a side alley where a fire escape was withen reach. Jumping to grab it and pull himself up, he ran to the top. Before long he was jumping from rooftop to rooftop, closing in. All the while he kept his head down, close to the raised border of every building. Perhaps through his own attempts to hide his signature, and the fact that the commotion was confusing at best, the Dark Siders wouldn't notice until it was too late.

Slowly, they came within view... He was two buildings away from being able to jump on one. He focused now, his full efforts, on hiding his Force signature as he formulated a plan to bring this to a swift and safe ending.

Vega Van-Derveld
Mar 2nd, 2003, 04:17:39 AM
As Sorsha dealt with Zeke, and Videl played with the biker Jedi, Vega was left with little to do. He would have aided one of the others with their opponent, but he felt it would almost be an insult – after all, they certainly didn’t need any help. So instead he paced on past the amassing crowd – of course civilians were still getting through, even though an evacuation had been attempted; wherever there was blood or a fight, you’re sure to find rubberneck citizens.

It appeared, however, that he wouldn’t have to wait long to find opposition. Something was approaching, however faint it seemed to be and Vega armed himself with Seraphim ready should this unseen adversary appear.

Sigil Roland
Mar 2nd, 2003, 09:30:31 PM
::Sigil looked at the situation through the lenses of his binoculars. Strange he thought They only want blood, oh well lets see if I can get the people out while the Jedi deal with the Sith. Sigil then got on his Swoop bike and headed toward the battle to save who was left.::

Sage Hazzard
Mar 2nd, 2003, 11:45:43 PM
A bill board, a sign, something... Something to either crush the Sith or block their escape and civilian's entrance from the area.

Suddely, he saw it. It wasn't quite what he was looking for, but it would do.

A fuel tanker was parked and abandoned near the end of the street. It was parked in a swearved position. It wasn't quite diagonal but it was close. The driver obviously left after the panic, or was cut down while driving.

Now, he had to tip it over. He feared destruction of the vehicle. And whatever the driver was hauling could be flamable, highly flamable. Regardless, it would block an exit or escape. There were citizens still near, and they'd be blocked from exited as well. But hopefully they could be evacuated through the only exit left, to a normal human anyway, the other end of the road. The Sith could escape to there as well but, it was the best he could do. The NRSF or other Jedi should arrive soon, so all of those other problems could be solved by someone else. Now, he had to join in before his fellow Jedi were murdered or injured by two on ones.

He reached out with the Force, which slightly took away from his hiding of his Force signature. He was never that great at telekinisis. But maybe he didn't really have to be. It only needed a tip, not a lift. Slowly, it began rocking, as he concentrated. Tipping back and forth, a slight push everytime it tipped to the direction he intended it to fall to. Finally, putting all his strength into it, it tipped over, crashing into the street and blocking one of the two exits. If a Sith attempted to jump this, or slip through the cracks on either side, he's throw his sabre at the tanker, blowing up it and the Sith.

Now, he was going to join the battle. He had two sabres, but ignited only the one. Never a good idea to show all your cards. He kept the other hidden withen his jacket. A jacket he wore when enjoying non-Jedi life.

Leaping off the building, in front of the battle, he put his back to the only other exit. It was intentional. He wasn't going to jump into the fray when someone could get behind him and run. Although Sith hardly ever ran, Sage meant to never let them have a choice. They'd stand and die. Slowly, he walked to the fight, which was close now. Only 50 yards. His ignited sabre stayed at his hip.

Delicious.

*It was all that was needed to be said for the chaos that was reigning on the land. Carnage, blood, death... so much death. And the wreak the Dark Side left was intoxicating.*

*Perched high atop one of the buildings in the vicinity, LV surveyed the ground below, watching as Sith went against Jedi and vice versa. In the mayhem of screaming victims and battling Force users, she spotted one walking casually into the frey.*

*LV tsked to herself and stood, jumping off the building, and falling towards the ground. She slowed her decent as she reached ground level, touching lightly just behind the man with the ignited saber, igniting one end of her double bladed lightsaber.*

Come to join the party I see.

Sage Hazzard
Mar 3rd, 2003, 02:33:41 AM
Sage knew right off it was a Sith. From the deathly voice to the words. No one in their right minds would call this a party.

The Jedi Master wasn't one to waste movements. He spun around, striking at the voice's mid-section area with his sabre. The sabre was in his left hand so it went fluidly with the spin. As he spun, he raised his right hand. The Force made sure the sabre tucked away in his jacker flew into that hand. He ignited it and swung it higher, at the neck area of the unseen opponent. It was the reason he had concealed the second sabre, the element of suprise. Hopefully it'd cause this Dark Sider to be a foot shorter.

Lady Vader
Mar 3rd, 2003, 02:58:54 AM
*LV's admiration for the Jedi went up a notch, but her reaction was swift. In the time it took for the Jedi to bring his first saber towards her midsection and call the second one he'd been concealing, she'd detatched her ignited saber at the center of the double to meet the first, while her second ignited and met his second. Both opponents now had two sabers, each one humming to overcom the others*

*She grinned ferrally at him.*

A man after my own heart.

*She kicked out suddenly with her foot, catching the man's ankle and dropping him, pushing both his sabers away from her, and angling her own towards his legs, intent on making him legless.*

' Zeke?....' Kelt quickly noticed a distant figure, one that looked like Jedi Knight Zeke and then another a blonde woman in confrontation with him. It came to him as a suprise, Kelt hardly every got into fights but tried to calm the situation down, with all hell breaking loose it seemed to have passed that point. It seemed his Jedi friend needed some help, Kelt had no idea who the fight was with or why but Zeke clearly had a reason to draw his weapons. Kelt at the time was on the upper floor looking down upon the confrontation and needed to get down quick to help his friend but as he did so, before he had time to evaluate the situation 3 or 4 others came into view in Kelts movement. A man or woman dressed in a dark purple outfit fighting no other than Sage Hazzard, a blonde man wandering the floor no doubt a contributor and another woman that he could only just see.

Kelt needed not to think on the subject at hand his comrades were in trouble. He had set his target on helping Zeke the others could handle themselves at there rank. Swiftly Kelt unclipped his bow from his back harness, unfolded it and snapped together his short bow, placed himself into a decent stance and then drew an arrow. He waited for a few moments, took aim and then fired without hesitation. The speeding arrow shot towards Sorsha at a incredible speed and with excellent acracy heading directly for her upper leg, not to kill but to incapacitate.

Hadrian Invicta
Mar 3rd, 2003, 10:17:39 AM
Hadrian had been out minding his own business, patrolling the streets, roughing up dregs who'd dare prey on the innocent and the helpless.

"Git yer mits offa me jack-<smallfont color=#FFFF00>-Censored-</smallfont>!" Some two-bit thug who'd been mugging an elderly man when Hadrian arrived barked as the young Jedi Padawan jerked him backwards by the collar of his jacket.

"What did you just call me?" Hadrian replied in a cold manner.

"I said you wuz banta fodda, frellin' jedai freek!"

"Wrong," Hadrian growled as he tossed the man across the alley way into the wall. There was a dead thud as he hit the pavement.

"I should end your miserable existence, there is no room in my galaxy for those who prey off the weak," Hadrian continued as he pulled out his durasteel extendable bo.

"Eat blastah, bitch!" The two bit punk growled as he pulled a blaster on Hadrian and let 3 shots fly.

But the shots hit nothing but air. Hadrian wasn't sure how he'd done it, but he sensed the man was going to attack him with a blaster a moment before it happened. Ducking to the ground and using the Force to push the blaster hand up, the shots flew off harmlessly.

Wha'da frell?" A bewildered thug replied. His amazement at how he missed was the distraction Hadrian needed. A sick crack could be heard as the durasteel bo snapped across the thug's forearm, breaking the bones. Another snap was heard as the lower end of the weapon struck the man in the left knee, shattering the knee-cap and knocking him off his feet. His blaster hit the ground and Hadrian immediately called it too him.

"Is this what you were going to do to me?" he growled, the urge to kill this scum was nearly overwhelming. He trained the blaster between the man's eyes and pressed his finger against the trigger, but not pulling it.

"Look at me when I speak to you damnit!" He roared furiously and he pistol whipped the man in the side of the head, knocking him out cold. Hadrian placed the blaster in his cloak and reached for a comm link to contact City Watch to have this scum arrested when he heard the call come out over the comm.

I can't fight Sith, especially trained ones, but somebody has to get the innocent out of the way.

Hadrian took one look at the man on the ground and spat on him.

"Another day perhaps," And he was on his way to the location given on the comm-link...

*********

Few minutes later...

Hadrian arrived at the location to see chaos unlike he'd ever seen before. Force supplied pyrotechnics, light-sabers clashing, telekinetics moving tankers, it was nearly overwhelming. Yet the cold, emotionless facade that was ever over the young mans face remained. He saw a man on a swoop bike helping people get to saftey, that was who he needed to help, he'd be nothign but a distraction to the other Jedi fighting these powerful darksiders.

Seeing an abandoned speeder he hopped in, the obviously terrified owner had left the keys in it. It's repulsor lifts roared to life as the young man floored it and made his way towards a crowd of shell-shocked civilians.

"Hey, over here, come-on hurry!" He yelled, his voice amplified by the Force at people who were frozen in amazement. A few sprung to life and began rushing towards the speeder. Once he had a load he whipped the vehicle around and sped off, dropping them off out of harm's way. Making a three-point turn-around he sped back into the fray to get another load...

Such mindless kills...destruction...chaos. Zasz abhorred it somewhat, but part of him loved it. He had felt so many other force users in the area it was staggering, and the blatant use of the Dark Side lured him in further. He decided that he would investigate...

And upon arrival, he saw that a fight had started. He saw people he recognized...Sorsha and Vega. He grinned. It would be good to fight with them. He looked to the other, who had started the bloody carnage. She was not impressive, whatsoever.

He had seen a rather young man attack Sorsha, what a fool. She should be dealing with greater things than little piss ants. He grinned once more, still masking his signature in the darkness. He would remove the boy...

Eyeing Zeke as he moved forward, the Dark Jedi moved quickly. Soon he was moving with even greater speed, in fact, to whomever actually looked in his direction, all they would see would be a blur. He would appear sometimes, and then fade again. He loved using the Dark Side in moments like these. They kept him silent and swift.

He was behind Zeke immediately, he stopped behind him, as he did so he delivered a powerful blow from his fist just below the back of his neck, on his spine.

"You are a Padawan."

She had vanished in an instant and Hera was left on her perch on the edge of the building to watch as her comrade dropped straight and true through the air to the ground.

LV immediately engaged the Master that Hera herself had noticed and the blonde chuckled to herself.

His maneuvering of the tanker was splendidly done. A real credit to his ability in the force. But the end result was a little boring, Hera mused. It needed pizaz, flash.

She was a little disappointed as she surveyed the mayhem below her. Sure, a mass slaughter was fun, but she personally preferred the sweet one on one kill, the abject terror of an opponent as she bested them and violently, yet slowly, reefed their life from them. She liked the stupid look in their eyes the best..as if they cant beleive what is happening. And she had hoped to have such pleasure with the criminal-now-Jedi Master Nevyen ... or Morgan Evanar as he now styled himself. Pfft Hera snorted. But it seems perhaps that certain Master was still missing as per her latest reports from Remkah her SFF Captain.

A sigh.

She would make do with taking peices of the pretty Master down there fighting for his life with Lady Vader. LV wouldnt mind sharing.

Plucking her blaster from its holster at her side, Hera lined it up and fired a laser bolt into the belly of the huge tanker. An enormous burst of fire erupted from within and then another, bigger explosion followed shortly on its heels, rocking all those in close proximity to it. Massive flames and thick black smoke billowed around them. The hungry blaze licked and snapped at the buildings around them, and soon the one end of the street was a fiery furnace.

"Flash" she grinned replacing her blaster, and then too dropped from the building to land behind Jedi Master Sage, who had just been knocked to the ground.

She looked at him as he twisted his head at the thud beside him. The red glow of fire cast its morbid hue across the Jedi and his assailants, adding to the dire atmosphere of the night.

"Hi there"

An abrupt pull from some unseen force around his neck caused the would-be savior, who had up until now been making rapid progress towards the battle 'arena', to involuntarily dismount his vehicle. Several unseen wires twisted and coiled around his throat, taut and unyielding to any manner of physical force as they dragged him backwards. The tendrils did not, however, go so far as to puncture the skin - they were simply a means by which to wrench the man away from his seat. Videl looked up, sensing a lot of auras amassing towards them. She smirked, many hadn't been seen around in this number in ages, seemed like old times. Her prey had decided to use his gun too much for her liking, Videl was an old school warrior who hated guns. She spotted another Jedi coming though, Hadrian, might as well dewing another bird. She decided a different method would be better, the last hadn't lost his bike. She in front of him in a flash, saber ignited and she cut it just as he passed, avoiding the his side but cutting the car in half since she wanted a fight not a Jedi who couldn't fight. She waited for the car to stop and was there saber at the back of his neck.

"Trying to keep the sheep from the slaughter, Jedi?"

Zeke twists with the blow, yielding with it to lessen it's effect.

"Knight, behotch!"

At this range there's little room for counters; he gets a strike to Zasz's face before making space between them.

"But enough with Rank..."

He drops the apples he's juggling.

"Let's go."

Hadrian Invicta
Mar 3rd, 2003, 05:05:26 PM
Hadrian felt the hair on the back of his neck prick-up a vision flashed in his mind, too fast for him to understand but he saw danger.

And danger happened...

A hiss of sparks and the sound of metal being wrenched apart, overwhelmed the young padawan's senses. He looked and saw that at least the people he was transferring had fled to safety. It was a consolation that he was going to die saving those he had swore to give his life for. Rising from his belly to his knees he heard the woman's voice and felt the intense heat of the saber blade. His mind was racing, he had his extendable bo that could strike her, but she could kill him before it reached, but the blasters, she would have to take that saber away from his neck to the bolts from killing her or wounding her enough for another Jedi to take care of the job.

Slowly he raised his left hand, holding his right arm infront of him, feigning injury. As he did he began speaking.

"Why kill sheep when you could take shepherds?" He asked, stalling for time. "And why waste your time on a Padawan when there are Knights and Masters present to test your mettle, are you afraid of them Sith, has the Fear that you worship so, finally taken control?"

He had it, the blaster was in his hands and he turned it under his left arm, he couldn't miss from this close, she would have to move to avoid or defend.

Ker-CHOW! Ker-CHOW! Ker-CHOW!

Three shots rang out ripping through the back of his coat and screaming towards the Sith Master only steps away. Hadrian fell foward and began rolling, turning towards his assailaint and preparing to fire again.

Pain then surged through the hand that held the gun as Videl drove one of her katana through it to disarm him. She kicked him hard in the neck before she stooped down to retrieve the gun. She then picked him up by the neck so he was at her eye level.

"Guns are for the weak, are you weak?"

Kelt Simoson

Kelt watch Grimm approach Zeke and waisted little time to assist his Jedi friend. Kelt without hesitation climbed up unto the balconey rail, it was time to get himself down there and assit, his arrows clearly wre doing little good to a powerfull darksider. The Knight gripped what seemed like a hanging decoration, hoped for the best and then jumped from the banister. The first few moments were pretty much a free fall before his hands gripped tight and he stoped dead on the decoration. wow

Kelt noticed he was but a few feet from the ground and he simply let go to hit the floor in a crouching positon. The Jedi watched for a few moments hidden from view. he watched Grimm, the one he would be targeting to give Zeke some fighting chance and space. Suddenly it was clear that the timing was perfect. Kelt drew Yuran, his sword, from his back and sprinted in the direction of Zeke. In mid stride Kelt raised his sword into a baseball bat position and swiped towards Zasz, in the direction of his chest, if it would it the man would be on the ground dead.

Hadrian Invicta
Mar 3rd, 2003, 06:21:31 PM
Hadrian winced as the blade pierced his right hand, causing him to drop the blaster he had confiscated from the thug earlier. Videl pulled him up with her left hand, at eye level. She held the katana and the blaster in the other.

"Was the only weapon I had," He said with a look of serene calm on his face. The blood in his hand was dripping he was bleeding severely, but he would use that to his advantage.

A Sith cannot heal...

He remembered reading that in his studies in the Archives. A Sith no matter how hard they tried could not heal wounds or relieve irritations and that was Hadrian's advantage. Blood irritates and blurs the vision, when it gets into someones eyes. Videl had too many things in her hands to stop him and she wouldn't be afraid to take a simple punch from an obviously weak padawan.

"I may not be as strong as you, but at least I can see..." He said as he brought his right hand up and smothered it into her eyes, rubbing the dark crimson fluid into the Sith Master's eyes. The distraction was enough for him to kick her in the left knee-cap and wrech free from her grasp. He grabbed his hand as he ran away from her. He wouldn't be able to escape on foot, she would be too quick and the effects on her eyes would only slow her until she calmed enough to realize she could use the Force to track him, he needed a quicker way out. He saw one in a large hover truck that had been abadoned as well in the carnage.

The blood dripped on the ground as he got closer. He noticed another group of stranded by-standers. He called out to them.

"Get to that Hover Truck hurry, I'm getting us out of here!"

Videl

Hadrian soon found himself choked as Videl wrapped her arm around his neck, then dug a short knife into his shoulder. She moved it around a bit before she shocked him with a jolt of Force lightning, the surge heightened by the metal in the blade.

"Did you really think you were going to get away that easily?"

Zasz Grimm
Mar 3rd, 2003, 07:32:50 PM
Zasz moved his face with the hit towards his face, making it merely a glance, and thus resulting in no pain. Zasz was soon to make this young boy's life a living hell, when he heard the approach. He turned and looked to Kelt. He was fast, but not fast enough.

Moving a hand in that direction, a force blast was aimed at the charging Jedi. He was flying backwards before his strike ever even got the chance to hit it's target. He watched as he hit a wall rather hard, but then looked back to Zeke.

..."If this is your wish, then it is granted."...

He said in a calm manner as his blood red pupils focused on the boy. He didn't move for the longest time, but then, neither did Zeke. And then it happened. Zasz moved with speed and quickness, his hands moving foward, but as he did so, a silver metallic hilt flew to his hand. In one movement, his lightsaber was activated with a snap hiss, and was on it's way towards Zeke's chest cavity.

Zeke
Mar 3rd, 2003, 08:28:34 PM
Zeke heels over so far his head rests on the ground. He almost didn't make that one. He rolls aside and stands. A weapon...he needs a weapon...across the street at the store, there is a handicap ramp with a handrail. The rail flies off the wall, coming to land in Zeke's hand. His Force Pike it is not, but it'll hafta do.

Pierce Tondry
Mar 3rd, 2003, 08:50:49 PM
Pierce braked the bike to a stop. The Light Jedi were outmatched in sheer numbers and skill. It would take some serious teamwork to get out of this.

First things first. Some of his fellow Jedi are in immediate danger, and they need saving. Pierce pulls two gas grenades from hidden sleeves in his combat vest, loops a finger through both pins and hurls them away underhand. The first grenade went spiralling towards Hera and LV, the second was headed towards Zasz.

Pierce then rolled off the bike and took cover on the ground, fishing for another weapon.

Zasz Grimm
Mar 3rd, 2003, 09:08:24 PM
Zasz stepped back from the Jedi as he held the piece of metal. No match for a lightsaber, he was soon to move forward when he heard clanking on the ground. Gas came out of it, Zasz grimaced. A tear gas grenade. Zasz pointed his hand at it and then moved his hand in a flinging motion. The grenade was thrown at least 30 meters away from him.

Rid of an annoyance, he focused back on the boy. He charged him quickly, aiming to attack. Zeke brought up his piece of railing to block the attack. Zasz jumped into the air, letting the force guide his movements, his feet landed on the rod, and he kicked off of it gently, but with enough force from his unseen ally he lurched upward. As he had moved upward quickly, he let his lightsaber trail him, heading to Zeke's face as Zasz went skyward.

Zeke

Zeke dodges aside; avoiding a simple vertical slash is child's play. He steps back, sizing Zasz up. If this were anyone else on the battlefield he'd be attacking by now; but he hasn't fought Zasz. Quickly the Knight scuttles around to side with Kelt. Split apart they were no threat to the Dark Jedi, but together they stood a better chance.

Hadrian Invicta
Mar 3rd, 2003, 09:23:50 PM
It was there again, another vision a flash before Videl struck, but this time more ominous more clear, he sensed she was upon him. As quickly as he could he reached for his durasteel extendable bo, the Sith Master was toying with him and not using her saber, it would allow him to use this weapon with some effect, though not well considering the hole in his hand.

As she grabbed him from behind, it jerked the aim of his arm off, so instead of taking the full force of the decompression of the bo, it simply shot and pressed against her leg. He felt pain as the dagger bit his shoulder, it was indescribable. But it was nothing compared to what came next.

"Arrrgghhhh!!!!!" He roared in absolute pain as the Force lighting ripped through his body and arced through the blade in his back, it dazed him, but at a price for Videl. In her rage she hadn't noticed the padawan's steel bo touching her and she was hit by her own attack as well, completely unawares. Hadrian fell to the ground as she released him. Blood oozing from his wounds, everything around him was a blur of pain and anquish.

It was only a matter of time now before she finished him off, but he had bought some with his conduction of electricity back into her. And it was this precious time that allowed for an unforeseen circumstance.

A young man, not much over the age of 25 rushed to the hover truck, engaging the engines. He'd seen enough, allowed these noble people to risk themselves for him long enough and he was going to help one of them. The hover truck's repulsor lifts roared as he barrelled towards the Sith Master, the accelerator to the floor, he inted to help even the odds for the Jedi.

Hadrian in his dazed state fell micracously out of the way, as the would-be-hero closed with-in 5 meters of Videl...

Videl
Mar 3rd, 2003, 09:37:06 PM
Videl's vision cleared with the shock, she growled, it wasn't often one was struck with their own power, still it was her own power so it didn't hurt her as much as it did Hadrian. She looked up upon hearing the truck's engine and ducked out of the way. Once it had passed, she got up and went to finish what she had started as she walked over to Hadrian.

Sage Hazzard
Mar 3rd, 2003, 11:23:21 PM
Sage had to access the situation quicker than anyone would like to. He was on the ground, two sabres headed for his legs. A woman was behind him... saying something, the tanker just blew up, and he could sense something flying into the fray(the grenade). Through the Force he could slow down the enviorment in his mind, focus his thoughts. It helped to make a diagram of the scene, putting it in slow motion. It wasn't so much a skill as it was pre-cog mixed with insticts. It wasn't great by any means but it made sense of the chaos.

He let his momentum take him, aiding it with his back. He whipped his legs up, around and over the sabres. He snaps his body back towards the ground, raising his upper body as he does so. This makes him upright, feet planted on the ground. Spinning and jumping, he kicks the lobbed grenade into Lady Vader's stomach. The chest could be armored or highly built, the stomach had a higher chance of being soft enough to not bounce the grenade away. As the grenade was on it's way, he continued to spin mid, air. He swung down hard with the sabre in his right hand, at Hera. As he was landing, and the sabre was close to connecting, he pulled it back as he crouched and span. Now the sabre in his left hand was swinging at her legs. The previouly faked sabre swing would attempt to insure a clean, unblocked slice through her leg. Lady Vader would have to deal with the grenade, so he wouldn't be attacked from behind. If the grenade was simply thrown at him, it'd blow up Hera as well.

As he was spinning, to attack Hera, the flames registered. It'd spread to other buildings, creating chaos and killing innocents. He surmised before that the tanker could be destroyed even if he hadn't tipped it over. Atleast it served the purpose of blocking the street now. Now however, it was a wall of fire instead of a wall of durasteel. Though the fire did need to be contained. Hopefully someone would come soon to keep it in check.

He was on the scene now and Sene could see the devestaion that surrounded him. He let himself soak it in before he used the force to find Hadrian. There he was fighting Videl. He wasn't dead yet, and a bit of hope flooded Sene's mind. He still had a chance to help him.

Kelt Simoson
Mar 4th, 2003, 08:19:58 PM
The slam from Grimms force push was pretty nasty and Kelt hit the wall shoulder first. The damage was minumal but it still hurt the Jedi. Kelt of course was a trained fighter and his last move was a mistake, he knew that but he still continued to roll in on the Darksider. However his next move would be slightly less careless. Kelt raised from his downed position, unclipped his light saber and ignited it. A very pale blue streak spurted from the cylinder and out shot Rithuem, Kelts lightsaber. In his right hand was his sword, Yuran. This what Kelt was best known for, two handed fighting.

With the aid of Zeke the battle should be pretty bloodless, Zeke was a good fighter alone and with Kelts hand it should be less painfull for the two Jedi. The Jedi stanced himself into a half decent position, his saber out infront of him in a invirted position and Yuran above his head and pointing in Grimms direction, ready for his target. But before he would attack he was willing to at least give the man a chance to lay down his weapons and give up peacefully.

' You know darksider...' He shouted above the hisses and buzzes of conecting lightsabers. ' There is a way of sorting this peacefully. Stand down and let us talk quieitly....' Althought he doubted his words would ring true in such a devoted killer, it was his nature.

Oh man, now this was a big problem. He could hear the stone coming loose, started to crumble and fall. He put aside his swing, trading it for a Force Push. If anything it'd make Hera stumble away so he could deal with this falling chunk. He couldn't dodge it in time, it was already falling. If he moved to the side, back, or front, he'd be running into a sure attack by either of his opponents. Oddly enough, the only option was up. He was going to meet the largest piece head on.

It was quite large. Much of the concrete had crumbled or broken up. It had came off of reinforced Durasteel. The way you lay concrete is simple. You lay down durasteel in lines and triangles, then pour the concrete around it. The concrete flows around the Durasteel and is reinforced. Because of making it crack, it broke off the durasteel, but still left the durasteel. It'd take more than a Force nudge or decay to make durasteel snap. However, there was a large, five foot wide chunk falling. It was on the furthest tip of the overhang, which the construction workers failed to reinforce. Which was probably the reason it cracked in the first place.

He was flying upward, 15 feet in the air now. A Jedi could jump rather high when he wanted to. This actually gave him a chance to get away from his opponents and formulated a plan, as well as not let the concrete smash into his head. He focused his energy as he rose, trying to strengthen his muscles. He had specialized in that, making body parts more resistant for a short period of time. He sliced through the concrete with both sabres, making three smaller chunks. The middle one he hit. Being as it was smaller and he was headed up, he broke through it and kept going upward. He deactiveted his sabres, clipping them to his belt. He had risen to the height of the over hang, 30 some odd feet in the air. He grabbed onto the overhang, pulling himself up to the remaining section of it.

As he looked down, the concrete was still following. Sage wasn't great at this, by any means. Telekinisis wasn't his forte. However, one of the two chunks had veered close to Hera, as she was next to Sage before the concrete broke, falling towards him. With a hard effort, it was nudged her way. No way to tell if it was going to hit or not. The third piece, still in tact, fell right where Sage had been standing. A "crumpled concrete" pile. Now the problem was getting back down to the fight below...

Chaos reigned around Sene as Videl looked towards him. She was smiling, mocking Sene. She knew she was stronger, but Sene would be no piece of cake.

"Your life for his then."

Sene gave her a smile. "You can have my life, but it won't come easy."

Sene let his smile fade as he decided to take the offensive. It was truly the best course of action. Sliding his left foot behind him, he sprinted towards the Sith master as fast as his legs could carry him. With his right arm he extended his lightsaber in anticipation for the coming fight....

Hadrian slowly rose to his feet, the shock wearing off. He was still bleeding but he had managed to get a piece of cloth wrapped wround his wound on his hand and slow the lose of life fluids. His shoulder wound wasn't deep, just painful.

He had heard his master's voice, the calming power of a Jedi Knight's words were enough to get the Padawan to his feet.

No one dies today but a Sith...

Extending the durasteel bo to it's full 6', Hadrian watched his master charge the Sith Master. He would not let him fight her alone. Banged up as he was, he could distract her.

"Miss me?" He growled as he swung the bow at it's fullest reach at her legs, Hadrian was closer to her than Sene was.

For Vega, the initial fun had tided over. The Jedi were flocking to meet the other Sith and Dark Jedi as they arrived, and ignoring his presence entirely – and if there was one thing he hated, it was being left out. Disgruntled and with no one to turn his anger on but the fleeing people around him, the Lupine snatched up a body out of a group of people running to find sanctuary. As Seraphim was still in his grip he plunged it straight in through their chest, causing an instant collapse of their solar plexus and lungs.

See these Jedi here, all of us, our lives mean nothing, there will be more of us, there are other shepherds for the flock, the only thing that matters to us is the well being of others. My life for any of the victims here today would be more than an even trade. Our lives to end your reign of terror would be a victory of boundless proportions."

"You shouldn't be here Hadrian. You should get out now. I can handle her, get the citizens to safety."

Sene knew these words would not make Hadrian happy, but they needed to be said. He was only a padawan, and Sene wasn't prepared to waste his future potential here and now.

The Preacherman

Some days it just didnt pay to get out of bed.

Late night, early moring. So far his day was goign from bad to worse. Contacts hadn't shown up, the Imperial he was stalking had gone to ground and disappeared... all this work he had put in to set up this Imp, to catch him cold had failed. And he was angry at that. It was rare he failed. It burned in him, for any scum like that Imp deserved to be bought to the justice they continually flaunted and twisted.

To get his mind off things, he went for a walk, his body and face hidden under the heavy cloak. Hands were hidden away in sleeves as he walked, looking for all the world like some sort of monk. Well maybe he was. Who realyl knew - certainly on days like this, when he sought to clear his head and mind, it felt that was what he strove for.

Busy in his own thought, he barely noted the feeling there was a disturbance in the Force. Whatever. Didn't concern him. Least... it didnt until he heard the sounds of fighting right in front of him and he looked up.

WHAT THE....

Seemed like a good fight going on here. And by the sense of it, Jedi and Sith going at it too. What he did notice was one of them seemed to be a Padawan and was in big trouble. Well, would be an idea to pull that poor schmoe out of this. After that.. well who knew.

He began to stride over to where (Haradin I'm going to) that Padawan was, hands still in his sleeves.

Sage had kept her moving lively with each slash of his lightsaber, her own weapon not yet drawn. Hera was forced to jump back gingerly and twist repeatedly away to avoid any contact.

And now, as a result of LV's innovative demolisions, Sage was up above her, hurtling large chunks of solid concrete at her. Hera responded quickly, channelling the force and sent the careening rock to smash into the building wall away from her. It broke into jagged cement shards, of which, Hera gathered using her force ability and flung them in a violent hail at the Jedi Master .

Drawing and igniting her own lightsaber now, a quick nod to LV, and in unison, the two Sith women leaped up to where Sage was standing and rushed forward, their deadly blades slashing and thrusting toward Sage as they came.

Lady Vader

*The shards of cement distracted the Jedi long enough for the two ladies to jump up the building and rush at him. Lucky for him he had two sabers, as each one met one of theirs.*

*LV sneared.*

Bet you never thought you'd have two ladies clamering for your attention at the same time.

*She disconnected the second saber from her double bladed one and jab it towards his arm. He twisted away from the saber lock both ladies had put him into, but LV's second saber still found it's mark, instead leaving a gash in his side rather than his arm, from the way he had twisted.*

Sage Hazzard
Mar 7th, 2003, 01:39:20 AM
Sage had dodged the shrapnel proppeled at him by ducking close to the walkway. Now he was in for a real battle.

He spun as it hit him in the side. He didn't even notice it until he stoped spinning away, a blur of motion as his sabres twirled through the air. He winced at the pain but Sage was never one to dwell on injury. He backpeddled as fast as he could, keeping his sabres out in front of him, pointing forwards like a chair and a whip for a lion tamer. He got close enough to the building so that there was no where else to go but back. He'd put a fair amount of space between himself and the two sith, by praticely force speeding backwards.

He drove his sword through the walk way, in a swift slash. It cut the overhang in two. The part Sage was on still had support from the main structure. The part the Sith were on was now an island prime to drop. They could dive at the Jedi, where as the Master could erect a Force Wall and drop the Sith like a stone to the ground. Or they could figure out a way to save themselves from the impact of hitting the pavement.

Lady Vader
Mar 7th, 2003, 01:48:40 AM
*LV jumped upward toward the building wall as the walkway began to decend. In mid flight, she hooked both sabers to her belt, reaching out her fingers towards the wall coming at her, and unsheathing her claws. She hit the wall hard, her claws digging into the concrete. Then, hand over hand, she began to climb until she reached an edge to stand on.*

*Looking down, she saw that Hera had jumped clear of the walkway, letting it fall to the ground below. A few pedestrians below got caught in the falling debris and were crushed beneath the walkway.*

*She looked to the Jedi, tsking softly, and smiling evily. The death count just got higher.*

Zakatiel Rhinehart

From Behind Sage, a figure raises steps out of shadow and raises a hand. Time was his, the Jedi had no chance to turn. The half second seemed to stretch on for a lifetime.

From within, Zakatiel summons the rage, the anger, the Dark Side of the force. From his hand, black coils of force lighting spring forth. With a crack of thunder, the lighting slams across the distance between the Sith and the Jedi. Lighting rakes across Sage's unprotected back, sending him falling forward, down toward the two Sith Mistresses.

With a low chuckle, Zakatiel, the sith once known as Dyzm, heads off to find his own prey.

Hadrian Invicta

"Master are you sure?" Hadrian asked. He knew his master was a noble Knight, but to fight a Sith Master on his own was madness. Hadrian had done it as a fight or flight response, but Sene was going to actively try to bring her down.

In the confusion of the battle, he felt something though, a newer presence far more powerful than the ones he had sensed before. (I'm inferring that the Shadow Jedi is coming towards me, ie Haradin lol) His master had a powerful enough ally it seemed and he bowed his head. There were civilians to save and someone needed to help with those half-wit thugs who decided to play vultures.

He had a clear line of sight on the second thug and using the Force he levitated a softball size chunk of durracrete and launched it at his chest at speeds that would be nearly impossible to avoid. But incase he did, a second chunk was lifted and readied to fire at him too.

He heard Videl's words but gave no new reply. The time for words had passed.

No... Though it sprung from Sage's actions, that death was still the Sith's fault... wasn't it?

"Why do you do this Sith? What made your heart turn cold?"

Sage raised his sabres, holding them towards LV. Let her attack, then she'd pay.

Suddenly, he was struck down. His body twitched with electricity. His body fell limp and fell off the side of the walkway, smashing into the ground 30 feet below...

Videl watched him approach with a look of boredom on her face, wondering if this Jedi was worth the time either. She made no move, she knew he was trying to led into it since most of them did. He allows them to catch fire and flings them with deadly speed and accuracy towards the villians plaguing his Jedi allies. Hera's face dropped into a frown.

The Jedi Master was out cold...and that was no fun. Her eyes followed the track of Zakatiel as he sped away and she pressed her lips together forming a thin, ungrateful line.

Stepping from the ledge she had managed to get to safely, she landed to stand once again at Sage's side. His lightsabers had automatically de-activated and were only sleek silver cylinders in each of his hands.

The Sith crouched, and rocking on her haunches leaned up close to Sage. She sniffed him.

Tilting her head to LV as she, too, arrived to stand on his other side, Hera grinned wickedly.

"I think I smell a dead Jedi...Shall we dispatch him now, or take him home and slow roast him?"

Lets take him home and slow roast him.

*She bent down and retrieved the sabers from the Jedi's hands, giving one to Hera.*

Here... a momento.

*Then, with the Force, she lifted the limp Jedi up as her ship, the Cat's Claw arrived. LV gestured towards the cockpit to Hera as she dealt with the unconcious Jedi.*

Fly us out of here. Make for Meras.

I'll make sure sleeping beauty here doesn't wake up and give us trouble.

*To make good on her word, she grabbed to rectangular devices, no bigger than her two fingers put together, and placed one on each of the jedi's temple. The devices would send pulses of a sleeping angent directly into the Jedi's brain, not harming him, but keeping him unconcious.*

(ooc) I think it would be fair to say that some good guy NPCs would have already left for the scene. The airborne units are already there, the tanks and transports will get there next post. :-p

(ic)

The Cat's Claw suddenly rocked with an explosion and the instruments in the unattended cockpit indicated that it had been shot in the engines by several pinpoint laser blasts from behind. Its' occupants were unaware that they had been followed by a squad of six A-Wing starfighters, so focused were they on their prize Jedi Master. The pursuing pilots were similarly unaware that Sage was onboard. All they were aware of was that the ship's profile was registered to a known Sith and that it was leaving a battlefield with civilian casualties, and they were determined not to let them get away.

Meanwhile on the ground, several tanks and transports were closing in on the scene from both sides. They were part of a small number of exceptional soldiers who had been trained to fight against Force users in addition to their normal duties. A third of the troops were equipped with the notorious ysalamiri and the tanks and transports had electrical grounding devices their designers hoped would handle the notorious Force Lightning.

Four airspeeders unleashed several scattered shots from their potent blaster cannons as they flew overhead. They would be back for another pass, but hopefully this first round would put the fear of the Republic into the attacking Dark Siders.

*The ship did indeed rock both Sith nearly off their feet, and the prone Jedi nearly went sliding off the cot he was on. Acting quickly, LV gestured for Hera to keep an eye on the Jedi while she went to the cockpit. When she arrived there, half the controls were shot, flashing lights indicating the hyperdrive was down. One of the main engines was sputtering, but the other three were still operational for the most part. And, the cloaking device aboard the Sith Infiltrator was still operational.*

*Sitting at the controls, she activated the cloaking device, shasdowing them from their persuers. Next step was to fix the hyper drive as best they could.*

Hera! Get the mechanics kit to your left and see if you can't jurey-rig the hyperdrive into some resemblence of working order.

*She got to work, sending out a message to a cloaked SD in the vicinity, hiding at the polar location of one of Coruscant's moons. They would be ready to pick the ship up if they could not get the hyperdrive working.*

*For now, LV set to work using the Force to hurl the fighters that had been on their tail into diving spirals towards the planets surface. With them out of control and their ship cloaked, finding them would be near impossible.*

The attack from the enemy ship was an irritance to say the least. The good-guys always had a terrible sense of timing.

LV sprung into action to protect her ship - and thus themselves - as Hera lingered beside the Jedi Master.

She could almost taste the pleasure as she imagined pulling the closely guarded secrets held locked inside his pretty Jedi head.

Hera stretched to lean across Sage, even as the floor beneath her rocked and kiltered with the outside bombardment. Her eyes examined him closely, so close she could see the pores of his skin and the fine hair on his face lifted softly as she breathed.

"Enjoy the peace, Master Jedi...For soon you will wake to your worst nightmare.."

A cold smile and then a particularly rough jerk of the ship broke her reverie.

Hera! Get the mechanics kit to your left and see if you can't jurey-rig the hyperdrive into some resemblence of working order.

Moving away and over to the left shelf, Hera lifted out the kit and made her way over to open the cover of the hyperdrive housing.

Bending her back to work, she focused her concentration fully on restoring power and repairing the damaged unit.

The starfighters spun dangerously towards the planet, but the skilled A-Wing pilots managed to pull out of their respective dives before impact. They swung back up into the atmosphere, scouring the area for the missing ship.

"Krasst! We lost 'em! Orbital contact, this is Delta Lead, do you read? We lost our contact in the upper atmosphere."

"Delta Flight Leader, this is the Calamari Cruiser Burning Hope. We read you and have your contact on our sensors. Please stay away from sector six."

"How is that possible, Hope?"

"Many capital ships assigned to Coruscant defense are outfitted with CGT arrays to detect cloaked objects and we're one of them. It's been policy ever since Thrawn spat cloaked asteroids into the system. We didn't really have anything to go with, but your cloaked bird sent out a burst message that allowed us to triangulate a location on a moving gravitic anomaly that happens to be leaking ions. We've been tracking it since."

Delta Lead checked his missiles. "You decode that message yet?"

"Too short for that, but when you figure it's a damaged cloaked ship sending something off, they're not gonna be sending recipes for cookies. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to saturate the area with some ion cannon fire."

The upper atmosphere lit up with the bright green crackles of ion cannon fire near the ion trail. The dangerous energy would send the critical electronic systems that ran spaceships into uselessness.

It was lucky, thought Delta Lead, that all the speeder traffic in the area had fled at the first sign of trouble.

*A string of very colorful and some unheard of curse words emitted from the cockpit as the ion fire fried more of the Cat's Claw's systems. Miraculously, however, the back-up systems for the cloaking device kicked in, though they were dangerously close to being fried themselves. LV's patience had run dry and she was peeved beyond all reasoning.*

*She called back towards the back of the ship, yelling for Hera to get to the controls. Hera came bounding with quick strides to take the seat LV had vacated. She took the controls and wrestled with what systems were left to keep the ship airborn.*

Steady her, and bring her to a full stop near that skyscraper.

*Still being in the atmosphere, Hera had no difficulty angling the ship downward to hover near the tall building. As for LV, she started heading towards the ladder that would take her to the top hatch. As LV began climbing the ladder, she heard Hera ask her what she was doing. But LV's anger had taken over and she popped the hatch, attached her safety cord to it, and stepped out of the ship as the Cat's Claw came to rest near the skyscraper.*

*It was a bizzarre site to see a figure seemingly hovering out of nowhere... a figure which now held her hands about a foot apart, collecting and compressing the air between the hands, utilizing the Force to combine the energies in the small space to create a plasma sphere. It pulsed and glowed a bright green, deadly, and full of explosive energies. It was a technique she'd learned from Anbira some years ago, before he'd turned to the Jedi. It was a technique she'd perfected as the years had gone by, studying ancient Sith texts and holocrons to get the energies to their peak.*

*It was a technique the Mon Calamari cruiser would feel for the first time... and last.*

*With a primordial scream, one made from anger and the release of the energies she had used to make the sphere, she let the pulsating plasma ball fly, hurled by a Force push, through the atmosphere in the direction of the Mon Cal cruiser.*

*The cruiser was by no means inept, and it's crew performed valiently to shoot and evade the angry green sphere. But each lazer shot at it was nudged slightly by LV's mind, missing the sphere by mere centimeters. And to evade such a small, fast moving object, was nearly impossible for the large cruiser so close to the planet's atmosphere.*

*The plasma sphere slammed into the cruisers port shields, exploding into an extraordinary fireball that lit up the sky. It overloaded the shields, taking them down and damaging the the cruiser. Several areas on the side of the ship began to explode on their own, damaging the cruiser further and making it list towards the planet.*

*Exasted, LV slid back through the hatch. It had all happened so fast, and never before had she summoned up a plasma sphere that quickly. She was spent and slumped to the floor under the hatch as it closed automatically. With the cruiser out of the way, they could make it past Coruscant's atmosphere and to the waiting ISD. She didn't need to tell Hera to angle in that direction. The minute LV's rump hit the deck, the ship was already limping through the atmosphere into space, towards the waiting saftey of the ISD.*

The six A-Wings had spread out, around and away from the ion cannon fire that could disable them just as easily as the ship they were trailing. Delta Lead waited calmly for their target to show.

Thus it was that he was very surprised to see a woman standing in midair.

She obviously hadn't noticed his A-Wing and that was probably a good thing considering the large green globe that hung in midair between her hands. Lead swung around and put his A-Wing on a sidelong course. It could be a Jedi trying to help.

But how many Jedi made wierd green globes out of nothing?

Lead was already burning through the air towards where the woman had been hovering by the time the globe impacted on the cruiser. He hesitated only the briefest of seconds before firing the tow cable that his A-Wing had in case of emergency tugs. Or in this case, tether lines to cloaked ships.

The tether shot out into the air and for a moment, Lead thought he'd missed. But then the fusion disk disappeared and the line registered an impact.

The tether line began to move away from the skyscraper and Lead matched its speed, reaching for his comm unit. "This is Delta Lead to city defense grid, repeat Delta Lead to city defense grid requesting immediate safety tractor beam activation. Lock on to the signal from my tow cable and activate a restraining beam!"

The response was all he could have hoped for. A tractor beam from a nearby debris catcher answered immediately, latching on to the craft beneath the cloak. For a moment, he smiled at his success. Then he sobered. They were probably already active to catch debris from the cruiser.

The cruiser itself was a durable one, built to take punishment in defense of its government, and its crew were of the high standard set for Coruscant defense. They had managed to stop their ship before it drifted beyond the point of recovery. Still, many lives had been lost to gain a single potential prize.

The other A-Wings from his flight were now circling the area, just in case the cloaked ship should try anything other than surrender.

Hera was doing her own slew of cursing as the hyperdrive circuitry was not responding to her efforts. She really could have used Jamo Jakatta right about now - that kid was a whiz at this stuff and .....

She didnt get to finish her thought through before Lady Vader was hollering at her to grab the controls. Hera had never noticed what a shrill voice the cat-woman had before now.

In obedience to the call, Hera slammed the cover to the hyperdrive shut - why, she didnt know as there was no real need - not like it could get more damaged. She squeezed by the prone Jedi, sparing him only a cursory glance that he was still out like a baby, and dove into the now vacated pilots seat, just as one of the two small wire-pads dropped from Sage's brow to dangle silently beside his head.

While LV conducted her fireworks below, Hera's face was set grimmly as she watched A-wings buzz into range on the data screen.

"Ya better hurry up - they're brining in the cavalry.."

Finally, and not a minute to spare, LV returned to the cockpit and the Cats Claw banked steeply away from the skyscraper.

"Haha!" Hera laughed excitedly as LV's work disabled the cruiser in such spectacular fashion. "Great job LV!!" But the mirth was short lived as one, then another retractor cable snatched ahold of their craft.

Both women looked at each other a moment, then grinned in unison as the same thought struck them at the same instant.

"Guns!"

The two of them ran to man a side turbo-laser turrett each and marking the predatory A-wings, as well as the craft at the other ends of the visible cable lines - sent of a barrage of deadly fire to a deadly chorus of "blang blang blang" and zinging firey bolts of laser.

"Three o'clock, Hera!! Three o'clock!" LV shouted out a warning and Hera spun the targeting sight on the attacking craft. A collossal boom! and then a bright orange/gold plume of fire erupted from the center of the A-wing. ...Excellent..
Hera congratulated herself. Turning to announce her hit, she saw LV shoot down two more (with a lot less self-congratulating going on) and so her boast died away to a mumble. She turned back to pump more shots into the ships that held them in tactor-limbo.

The other A-Wings were being shot down left and right. An explosion to the left marked another A-Wing going down.

It was enough to make a normal man go crazy, and Delta Lead was just a normal man.

Abruptly, he pressed the tow cable cutoff and pulled away into a tight U-turn. Laser fire followed him- clearly whoever was onboard considered him a threat. He would show them exactly how much of a threat.

Looping back once he was out of range of enemy turbolasers, Lead pushed his throttle down to nothing. In the distance he could see his tow cable hanging loosely in the air, indicating the approximate position of the cloaked ship. His missile payload was at six, and he keyed for two to fire, setting them for remote detonation. They sped towards the invisible ship, moving too fast to be accurately shot down by the turbolasers meant to take down starfighters. When they disappeared from view, Lead pressed the remote detonator.

There was a twin explosion beneath the cloak.

The latest explosion rocked the "Cats Claw" violently.

Warning claxons sounded throughout the ship and a fire erupted in the lower levels.

Angrily Lady Vader sprang from her chair to extinguish the fire and check the damage, leaving Hera to continue the laser fire. Turning her sights on the Lead that seemed to have pinned their position, Hera's angle was not suited to do more than worry the fighter a little. Brilliant bolts zung either high or wide, hitting the structures beyond her target.

Given more time, the fighter would adjust his sights and a direct hit on Vader's ship would be inevitable.

To buy time, Hera got from her chair and opening a general frequency on the transmitter. It would link almost automatically to the nearest vehicles. Hera spoke - her voice thick with amused malice as her eyes shifted to the still sleeping Sage.

*Even though that last volly was meant for the turret Hera was commanding, the jolt jostled the already taxed cloaking device, beginning to make it sputter with sparks. It was going to give out soon.*

*LV surveyed the console read-out, and while red was one of her favorite colors, she despised to see it on the indicator lights, showing all the systems and back up systems were failing... and rapidly.*

*Throwing curses left and right, she made her way to the compartment where the cloaking device was. Opening the panel, she reached in and hit a code into a small key panel on the inside wall. Once she was finished, she sealed and locked the compartment. A few seconds went by before a force field errected itself around the compartment. She stood and began to walk away back toward the cockpit. Seating herself there, she watched the indicator light of the cloaking device, now yellow, slowly turning towards orange. The light went blood red before a muffled boom was heard througout the ship... and then the light blinked out. She had put the cloaking device on self-destruct, so that the NR would not get the technology she was using. All they would find inside the compartment now would be ashes, as the bomb implanted in the compartment burned hot, melting and slagging every component into nothing.*

*Outside, the ship became visible. It had sustained considerable damage, and the fact it was still airborn with one engine still functioning somewhat normally and the other half way there, showed the enginuity and talent TSO's engineers had for making ships, and making them last until the bitter end.*

*They still had one more turret still operational, but the odds of that lasting with a Jedi-flown X-Wing were slim. Instead, she moved towards where they had laid the Jedi down and propped him up, heading towards the airlock, answering the question stated to them mentally.*

If all other fun has failed, then this one should be a scream.

*She began to stuff the prone Jedi into the airlock tube.*

That said, enjoy the Golan Defense Platforms as you head in.

Delta Lead had used Jedi AB's approach to circle around the Sith Infiltrator, closing the distance quickly. When the ship reappeared as a result of its cloaking device's construction, Lead squeezed off a few more shots at the remaining engine and had the satisfaction of watching the ion glow flicker and go dark. The tractor beam that held the ship began to pull it in towards the city, and towards capture.

Lead pulled out and away from the ship, circling it from above to make sure that it went down.

The words that came back through the transitter brought an unexpected smile to Hera's face.

Well, well, well...

The Sith Master had recognised the voice - it was Nevyen's (or as he was better known, Morgan Evanar) gal-pal that Hera and Remkah had almost blown to oblivion, interupting a post-card picnic setting in a most spectacular fashion on the grounds of the GJO some months back.

They hadn't got to meet face to face that day as things got a little..out of hand. Perhaps today would be different..

Hera crossed the heaving ship floor to where LV was uncerimoniously loading one sleeping Jedi Master into the cramped confines of the airlock. She tossed her head back in a delighted laugh. We'res a holovid camera for moments like these.
Blowing Sage a farewell kiss, Hera left him to his fate at Vader's hands.

The Cats Claw was relentlessly drawn by the ground based tractor beams - only moments remained before they would be settled atop the Coruscant building.

"So, LV.....Im sorry about your ship" she looked around at the sparking and hissing of circuitry - a residual effect of the now extinguished fire. "I'm up for a little payback, though - How 'bout you?" Her grin broadened wickedly as the top of the building loomed into view.

*LV finished stuffing the Jedi into the airlock, slamming the lid shut and locking it. She straightened and looked at Hera, a wicked grin gracing her lips.*

Always.

*Her balled fist hit the depressurization button on the airlock's control panel, and there was a hiss and distinctive POP as the Jedi Master was tossed out of their now very humble abode.*

*Thinking nothing more of the Jedi, LV looked to Hera and then at the hatch.*

Time to greet the welcoming commitee.

Sage's body tumbled through the air. He briefly hit the edge of the tractor beam and stopped, hanging precariously for a moment. Then his limp body twisted and continued falling.

He fell into an open cockpit, where his momentum was broken by the arms of an A-Wing pilot.

Within the tractor beam bay, alarms were sounding. A full twenty-four troops awaited the docking of the Cat's Claw- twelve of them were equipped with tall blaster reflecting shields and ysalamiri, while the other twelve were equipped with blasters set on maximum stun. They stood together in shield pairs, ready for the Sith to disembark.

"Look at him go!"

Hera was watching Sage's journey through a side portal and, tossing her head back in a throaty laugh, she slapped her leg.

"Vader - that has got to be one of the funniest dang things Ive ever seen."

LV was already at the hatch preparing to create some more chaos amongst the Jedi forces, but Hera knew she would be grinning too.

Still chuckling, she pulled her eyes reluctantly from the spectacle, a little disappointed to see Sage drop safely into another craft, Hera then activated one of Sage's sabres that LV had generously given her earlier in the evening.

Standing side by side, the two Sith Masters waited for the door to slide open.

"Lets go 'meet and greet' these nitwits shall we?"

Lady Vader
Apr 4th, 2003, 04:34:10 PM
*LV was indeed grinning at Hera's comment. It wasn't everyday it rained jedi on Coruscant.*

*As Hera came to stand beside her, LV also activated the other saber that had belonged to Sage, leaving her own saber locked up on the ship. Outside, she could "feel" the empty spots where the Force would not let her see. The grin faded into a frown.*

They have ysalimiri.

*Though there was a frown on her face, there was also determination.*

But there's more to us than the Force.

*She reached up to the control panel near the hatch and hit a few buttons. Outside, blistering hot steam shot from the ship where the ramp would extend, as well as blinding lights that appeared from hidden panels. The troops would be momentarily blinded and disoriented... but a moment was all both women needed.*

*The minute the hot plumes of exhaust and blinding lights had been activated, so too was the hatch opened, spilling both Sith onto the roof of the building. The minute both had landed, the hatch itself closed up again, locking the ship.*

*LV sprinted in the direction of one trooper who was just starting to regain his sight, and slashed him from shoulder to torso, making a straight line for the bay doors. Two other troopers moved in to intercept as the rest started firing stun blasts at the two women running amuck.*

*LV summersaulted into the air over one trooper, bringing the tip of Sage's saber behind her to bore through the troopers body. The last trooper standing in her way between herself and the bay doors was wearing a ysalimiri. He shot at her with the wide-spread stun beam, forcing her to summersault again, though this time the summersault wasn't as high as before, not having the Force to aid her.*

*The trooper was relentless, but she kept moving, dodging and zigzagging to avoid the beam. She needed to distract him long enough to make a final sprint to the bay doors. And to top it off, they were closing. All she could think of to use as a distraction was the lightsaber still humming in her hand. Hateing to let her trophy go, LV tossed the still active lightsaber in the troopers direction. It was a normal toss, not aided by the Force, but she had put enough force behind the throw to make it tumble end over end in his direction. As anticipated, the trooper dodged the flying weapon, and it smacked into a vent, slicing through and stopping where the hilt was. There it sputtered, melting the vent's metal where it touched it. When the trooper looked up, LV was just getting to the bay's door. He aimed his blaster again, and fired, but the blast richoched off the door as LV slid under it as it shut.*

*Claxons began to wail and the doors began to open again. Down below the bay's door was LV, hanging by her claws on the edge of the small runway. Somehow she gathered her situation had not improved much. Beginning a slow decent on the vertical wall, she inwardly hoped Hera was fairing better than she was.*

----------

*Out in space, hidden at the polar end of one of Coruscant's moons, the cloaked ISD Shadow Hunter received the brief blip of binary from LV's Sith Infiltrator. The blip consisted nothing more than a brief message indicating the ship had been captured. The Commander could only assume the same could be said of the Cat's Claw's passengers.*

*Spitting a swear directed at the Jedi, the Commander ordered the ship into hyperspace. It was time to inform those of TSO and it's allies of the capture of their comrades.*

It would figure they had ysalimiri, Hera thought sourly. How she hated those creatures, and had had more of her fill of their noxious presence during her time in the company of the bounty hunter Mockadane. Well, atleast she was prepared.

She sprang forward from the Cats Claw in unison with LV - the formerly assembled troops having been forced from their neat disciplined lines by the burning steam that jetted from the ship. Hera going one direction and LV the other. Pandemonium ensued as both women carved their advance forward with Sage's brilliant lightsaber blades.

Oh yeah!

Hera exulted inwardly as she glimpsed Vader slice some poor sod clean in two. Hera had also drawn her blaster and was zinging bolts out with zeal - their raidiant streaks pinging and richocheting haphazardly and dangerously inside the hangar bay.

Running, Hera now holstered her blaster and yanked forward the nearest Trooper whom had been hit by one of the lasers in his arm and was holding his own weapon uselessly at his side. Using him as a human sheild, she dragged him along with her, intending to slip through the same doors as Vader.

But she was too slow, and the hanger bay doors clanged shut with finality, Hera on the wrong side.

...uh oh...

Turning, her back to the bay doors, the troopers began to move systematically and steadily forward to her position. She felt trapped. Holding the soldier infront of her had stalled the Jedi forces fire, they were loath to shoot one of their own, and also felt that they had Hera pinned in place.

Thinking quickly, Hera twisted her wrist and plunged the lightsaber's glowing blade into the electrical panel which was fortuitously just beside her. A flurry of sparks and sizzling wires erupted in a blinding burst and then.....all the lights went out, and the fire sprinklers burst on.

Hera took advantage of the confusion and deactivating her blade, then pushing away her trooper-sheild, she ducked to a crouch, and in the cover of the darkness, crept at almost run along the wall until her hands found the rungs of a ladder she had spied before lights-out, and hastily began to ascend.

Pierce Tondry

Each trooper's helmet carried a built-in nightvision visor that they activated with the darkness in the cargo bay. It didn't take them long to spot Hera, and they once again began firing stun bolts, this time at the vulnerable back of the climbing Sith.

Below her, the trooper she had used as a hostage pulled a large disk from his tool belt and threw it at her. As it neared its' target, the disk erupted into a stun-net, crackling with electricity.

Lady Vader had a different problem. Her danger sense was tingling, but there were no obvious sources of danger to be found. The sound of an A-Wing's engines suddenly reached her ears-

- and then she arched in pain as the fusion disk from an A-Wing's tow cable attached to her back by burning into her skin.

Lady Vader
Apr 6th, 2003, 07:52:07 PM
*Despite her control, LV let out a shriek of pain as the tow cable anchored itself to her. But with no ysalimiri in the vicinity, the A-Wing was about to find out that angering a Sith wasn't the best course of action.*

*Snarling and gritting her teeth in pain, she released both hands and grabbed hold of the cable, dangling below the A-Wing. The tiny ship immediately zipped upward to place her in a position where the tropers inside the hangar bay could stun her, but the doors that had been slowly creeping open after her escape had been cut short as Hera's surgical strike at the control panel shorted it's circuits. Noticing there wouldn't be any stun-beam back-up any time soon, the A-Wing continued to angle upward, trailing a Sith behind.*

*Grabbing hold of the cable with one hand, and the end of it with her other, she yanked it from her back, feeling the cold and sting of the wound it had left behind. Now with both hands together on the cable, she sent a ripple of Force lightning up the cable towards the ship, fueling it with the pain and anger she now felt. The ship was caught up in a fierce ball of light, tendrils of lightning lapping at it's sides and shorting all it's electrical circuits. The engines cut and the ship began to fall back downwards, taking LV with it.*

*As the ship fell, the cable snapped and detached where it met the ship, the heat from the lightning having weakened it. The ship continued to plummet towards the buildings below. LV herself used the cable and whipped it about, with the aid of the Force, to catch onto the building she had come from. The frayed end caught onto an outcropping, bringing her swinging down and crashing against the wall. The smack against the wall knotcked the wind out of her, making her lose her grip, and fall downward to land rather hard on the short deck just outside of the bay doors... which were now halfway open with a squad of troops there.*

*She tried to find the strength to stand, but too much damage had been done to her physically and mentally. An explosion errupted behind her as the plummeting A-Wing's remaining fuel blossomed into a fireball. She was illuminated from behind with an angry red light as she sat halfway up and sneered at the troops, spitting in their direction, before a stun beam made her fall to the pavement again. Blissful unconciousness took over.*

First the stun lasers, then the net and Hera's hands, her whole body stiffened involuntarily and like a heavy rock, she dropped from off the ladder to the floor below.

Thudding loudly, in a tangle of net and her long leather coat she listened as heavy booted feet of the troopers ran toward her.
