As they brushed past each other, Sasha had felt the darkness. It seemed to emanate from a kid just about his age, though perhaps a few years older. It was difficult to tell. But there was one thing he was sure of, and that was the darkness. For years now, he had lived it as a knight of the Sith Order. But destiny had a different stamp on his passport. It wasn’t the life of a Sith he was meant to lead and realizing this, he had left the order to pursue a life that would feel right to him. A life in which he believed in all of the principles.

It was what had him taking public transportation once again, rather than borrowing a ship from the order. He didn’t mind spaceports, but he hated the bustling of crowds just getting off of ships that had come in and the claustrophobic feeling created by them. And so it had him feeling irritable.

He had shoved by the other rather rudely and the anger that had been directed at him in return had given him reason to pause.

Reaching out through the force, he could feel the sensitivity of the other. He was force sensitive, though the talent seemed raw and Sasha guessed that the man had not yet received training.

“What’s your problem?” Maxim growled as he turned back to face the broad shouldered kid that had shoved by him

For a moment, the Sith knight….former sith knight, said nothing. And then he moved away from the crowds toward a quieter spot and motioned for Maxim to follow.

Rolling his eyes in annoyance, Maxim ignored the suggestion of Sasha and continued on.

Until he felt a tug –nothing visible – but a strong tug that yanked him back out of the crowd.

A tug that he recognized easily as the force. He knew he was sensitive to it, but had not yet sought the training to enhance the natural skills he possessed.

“What do you want?” Maxim demanded, hotheaded as he typically was, his hand reaching instantly for his blaster, though he knew they were of little use against one who was skilled in the ways of the force.

The blaster found its way to Sasha’s hand with little effort.

“You don’t need that right now. I just wanted to suggest something to you.” He stated.

Maxim paused for a moment.

“What?” He demanded.

“What do you want to suggest?” This was met by a rather nonchalant gaze from the former sith.

“Ive got a flight to catcch….” He added.

Sasha nodded and held the blaster out for Maxim to take.

“The only flight you should be concerned about is the one that leaves in an hour for Corellia.” He stated. He knew because he had just come from that flight. And a part of him wanted to get right back on it and go home. Only…the palace high on the hill in Coronet was no longer his home.

“There is an organization there called the Sith Order. There you can learn to make better use of your skills.”

Your skills in the force… He added, speaking silently in the mind of the one he had stopped.

Maxim looked for a moment as if he might consider it and then his expression returned to a scowl.

“I’ll think about it.” He replied as he took his blaster back.

Sasha nodded.

“Its your life.” He replied and then turned to leave, a part of him wondering why he had cared to stop Maxim in the first place.

But he hesitated and turned back.

“If you decide to go, ask to speak with Lady Vader. Tell her Sasha sent you.”

Maxim shrugged.

“Sure, whatever.” He replied, shoving his blaster back into its holster, shrugging in annoyance as he did so. The next time he looked, the man who identified himself as Sasha was gone.

And then he made his way back into the crowd and began to head towards the terminal for his next flight. He sat there for about forty minutes just waiting. And during this time, out of boredom, he eventually gave some thought to the words that had been spoken to him.

When finally his flight was called, he stood and headed for the gate. But before he could get on, something seemed to tug him away. Nor the pull of the force as before – something more. Something within him that told him not to let this opportunity come knocking and not take advantage of it.

He turned and began to make his way back to the other terminal, fighting the oncoming crowd as he sought to make it before the flight left. Because when it did, everything about the moment that had made him decide to go would be gone.

He caught it just in time. Slipped in before the doors closed and made his way to an open seat. As he settled down into it, he knew that he had made the right choice. If only he could now find the Sith Order.
