You just have to see what Charley found at SWR tonight:
Dear members of the SWRoleplay.com community,

As a representative of the administration team as well as being a representative
of the leaders of the roleplay groups on the board, I come to you with news of a
matter of grave concern which has prompted us to take action.

We no longer feel that SWR is a secure roleplaying environment and that our
accounts may have been accessed without our knowledge. We have screen captures
of one such incident where the owner of SWR accessed another admin's account.

We also recently learned that SWR is part of a company, Beth Enterprises LLC,
which Daegal owns 33% of. It is not a public domain message board as was
previously understood. SWRoleplay.com has a board of directors, consisting of
Daegal and an unnamed person, who are responsible for all decisions on the
message board. We do not wish to have our characters and writings as part of
anyone's personal company as our characters and writings belong to us, the
creators.

There are other issues, regarding disclosure of the admin log to which only
SWRoleplay.com has access, which concerns the admin team and leaders of the
roleplay groups, as well as a blatant disregard by Daegal of the staff's
opinions in matters of importance. He has recently proposed asking the public
for donations for the upkeep of the board, which costs almost 7 times as much as
others, and has refused a move to a better one where he would not be
administrator any longer - he chose to terminate Dara's senior-administrator
status without consulting anyone else, on the grounds that she did not like what
he was doing. But we have all not liked what he was doing, for many reasons
besides those mentioned here. Therefore we have decided that we no longer will
be participating in the roleplay at SWRoleplay.com. We have moved our characters
and threads to a new location at www.starwarsrpg.net/forums and everyone is
welcome to register there and join us.

You are free to decide where to Roleplay; however, we must notify you that the
groups as they were do no longer exist on SWRoleplay.com. From the moment this
email was sent, we moved everything contained in each group's boards into a
separate forum for each, simply called "The Sith", "The Dark Jedi", "The Jedi",
etc. For those chosing to stay, they can go on roleplaying, but can no longer
consider themselves a member of The Sith Empire, The Student of the Light, The
Royal House of Rannon, etc. Members deciding to move to the new board will find
everything as it was, yet as we cannot have permission from Daegal to have all
threads moved automatically, we are all responsible for copy/pasting our own
threads to where they used to be. For this reason, we have made a back-up forum
with already copied threads, where we will be able to get our RPs from in the
event that anything should happen to the originals on SWRoleplay.com. Daegal has
stated that in the event of a move he would move threads only if asked by the
group leaders or individual people, but we do not wish to have to rely on his
word.

This is an unfortunate turn of events and we apologize for any inconvenience
this may cause, but our main concern is to provide a secure roleplaying
environment free of questionable occurences and other undisclosed information.

Sincerely,
Mara
SWRoleplay.com AdministratorIt seems that since this was posted, Mara has also had her admin priviledges at SWR removed and all the group board threads that were at SWR have been deleted.

Quite ironic and funny that those who were staunch defenders of Daegal/SWRoleplay.com's moral ethics are now getting burned by him just like we said they would.

Well, can't say I'm surprised.

Now to see if their second effort works... I have my doubts.

I'm so glad they took their bullshit and drama with them for the most part. We had some issues with the Georgia folk, but for the most part they got their acts together and things are peachy.

And you, get on some kinda messaging service. =p Its more fun to point and laugh that way.

hehe, will do.

BTW: It looks like I mispoke about threads/posts being deleted. The overall post count for the board still looks the same, so the posts are either still there or their counters didn't get updated yet, which is usually automatic on mass delete/prune.

You take it easy and don't put any extra stress on it. Your typing still isn't as bad as reading Sieken's threads of old. :lol

I must confess that I've known that this has been coming for some time know. I still talk to Dara, and she revealed a lot of this info to me a while back. This has been building for about 2 months, shortly after it was discovered that Daegal had been, literally, using other people's accounts for whatever demented purposes he had concocted. There are many other things to this story as well, but I promised not to discuss them until the rest of their board admins/posters decided to go public with it.

Yeah, a whois lookup of their new domain name tells me this started a little before late Novemebr since the domain was registered in late November.

Morons. Ok, that wasn't very charitable of me... but after what they've pulled on this community... well, all I can say is they got their come-up-ins (or however you spell that).
