Yes, I continue to be AWOL, so this is my reasoning. I *should* resume posting on Wednesday, maybe...

...got a massive Finance exam tomorrow, and I've been slaving under all the material I need for it. I need to do well on this, so I can't concentrate on anything else. If you need me...just wait.

If a Brinks truck left Illinois at 9:04 in the morning traveling South at 72.50 miles per hour and a corresponding Brinks truck left Alabama 12:43 in the afternoon traveling North at 67.96 miles per hour, how much money would there be scattered on the interstate when they crash head-on?

A. $1,007,690

B. $1,700,960

C. $17,960

D. $17.69

E. None. The person writing this post beat you to the wreck and took all of it.

(The correct answer of course, is 'E')

Good luck, Charley! I know you'll do great! :thumbup

Well... if it was really difficult, then maybe everyone had trouble with it, so you won't have done as badly as you think you did.

Ask me about my Fluid Dynamics exams sometimes... I guarentee, it's a story that will make you feel better.

Well, we get a guaranteed 20 point extra credit assignment tagged onto it...and he might even scale the grades, hopefully.

Thus, I *should* be okay.

I had a raw score of 58%. With the scale, it came to 78%, and I got an extra 6% for re-doing the exam.

I think Dr. Downs knows his exams are the devil. That's good, at least :)

ReaperFett
Feb 11th, 2003, 03:20:24 AM
Thats not fair, we dont get that! :)

Exams are the bane of my learning life, and this year 3/4 of my Modules are 70% exam, and the other 50%. All exams in May. Ow :(

I'm happy, because the worst is behind me. While interesting, Financial Accounting is TEDIOUS. You have to know honestly about 40 different ratios and equations, and the problems can take as long as 30 minutes to do. Just a chore!

Now, we're onward to interest theory, and present/future value derivation. Old school stuff that I know and enjoy.

Numbers were never my strong suit. >_<

Sanis Prent
Feb 11th, 2003, 08:24:14 AM
but these are little bitty arithmetic numbers with dollar signs in front...and all you need to know is that if they get bigger, then at some point, you can get your toes licked by beautiful women, etc.

Loki Ahmrah
Feb 11th, 2003, 08:26:30 AM
I wouldn't want my toes licked, I'd rather have them nibble my fingers. Is that still applicable?

Feet...:x

Sanis Prent
Feb 11th, 2003, 08:27:32 AM
That is just a matter of number negotiation. You just have to remember the axiom - anything is possible! :)
