Well, yes, I did love my old one, but, I just figured it was time for a bit of an update, and in my update, I decided to go a little bit retro.

Let me know what you think, I also ahve a larger version attached.

As always, your work is fantastic. Excellent choice of quotes and the drawing is as good as it always is. Have you sharpened the saber from the original picture you did?

Yes, I did re-do the saber from the original, now that I know a good way of doing it. And thanks, Oriadin, I'm glad you like it, pal.

As per normal, no one in this place even gets close to what you can do with a pencil and paper.

Dunno about the background swirl to be honest. I would have maybe done somethign different.

Well, the background might be changing, as I'm not incredibly thrilled with it myself, but, it will be a little bit before I can work on it again. I still have my other one set as my sig until I can set up a randomsig.

It's a decently made sig, I like it--fits Sejah the character I think

Well, after fiddling around a bit, and stealing the background to another one of my pics, I came up with a new, improved version of that sig. See what you think.

Well, Marcus, if you want to set me up a randomsig, that would be great. The images for Sejah can be found at:

I like the first one the best(though why not use both!). The swirl is actually one of the best things about the sig, why? Because it draws the eye to the amazing drawing. You have so many things going on, what with quotes and words flying around, it centers the eye to the character. Very good.

I HAVE to get a scanner. I'm going to give you some competition Sejah boy! I'd love to have a drawing contest or something with you pal. I'd lose, but it'd be to a VERY worthy opponent.

P.S. Selfish note here, I never got any of the pictures you were going to send me. My e-mail account was turned off by Yahoo because I hadn't checked it in 4 months or so. I only relised it when I went to check for your drawings. I REALLY want to color them, can you maybe upload them here, in another thread?

Sage, I'll get those images to you as soon as I can. And, in order for you to color them, I'll have to send them at a decent resolution, so, they would be too big to post here. But, I'll see what I can do. And, if you need a good scanner, look at the Hewlett Packard 3500 series scanner. It is a good one for the price, and has a great lens. If you can afford it, though, get the 4570 one instead, for it has an even better lens.

Well I'm looking at the 50 bucks area. Is that first one in that price range? I have 12 bucks now, so it'll take me a month or so to get 50, so too much higher would be WAY too much savings. I like my mad money darn it! :lol

Okay, send it to chewnakka@yahoo. I just registered that. :) Now don't everybody send e-mail there. It's just a temp. I'm probably going to go someplace else for a sagehazzard account.

Hmm, well, the 3500's run $99, and the 4570 is $199. DO NOT buy an off-brand scanner. Trust me, an acrylic lens is not what you want. HP also has one for about $69, but, it's not worth it. Sadly, a good scanner costs a bit more than you've got. The one I ahve is about four years old and cost me about $200, though the market price was about $300 back then. (Man, took me forever to get that money!) It still does a better job tham most new ones do.

But, HP is a brand I'll swear by in scanners, jsut as I swear by Epson for Photo Printers. I'd reccomend seeing if you can save the hundred bucks, and it also might be on sale by then. I work at an office supply store, so, I'll keep you posted if I ever see it go on.

And, I'll get those pics to you soon, as well as a new one not many have seen yet. I'd like to see what you can do with it once I'm finished drawing it. Man, wish you had an IM service, I'd love to walk you through how to color stuff in Photoshop. Blundering through it takes too long....

Yeah I wish I could chat too. But I have Paintshop so it'd be kind of hard to give me pointers, seeing as how you use Photoshop. I REALLY look forward to those pics. :)

Ouch... Well, maybe I can find a HP scanner that'll fit the bill that's not too much. At Fry's, where I go for my stuff, they sell electronics that were returned and repaired to factory specifications. They drop down dramaticlly in price. Maybe I can find one of those. :) I don't mind used if it does the job,

Thanks for your help. I know next to nothing about that stuff. I'm good with HTML, etc. but I have no clue about PC add-ons and inner workings. So you've helped big time. :)

If you can find an HP in the 5000 series for a price you can afford, jump on it! 4200's are okay, but don't get anything below the 3000 series. Epson also makes a very nice scanner, but I'm not familiar with their model numbers. Steer clear of Canon scanners, as they don't usually get fully accurate color as time goes by.

And, glad I could be of some help, too. Though, oddly, I know nada about HTML, and a fair bit about PC periphifrials and hardware, seeing as I sell it.

In any case, I'll did those skethbooks out again and do another scan of them and get them to you as soon as I can. Well, that would be tomorrow evening as I've got to hit the hay for tonight.

I like the Quote you have in one of the sigs.

"Beware the fury of a parient man."

That just sounds cool.

That quote is by John Dreyden, and it is one of my favorites. Along with "You do not have to be outside to know that it is raining if your house has a window." by Confucius.
