I use both(though I hardly ever send someone an IM with MSN)... and I use trillian.

AIM - simple, works, no real flashy bits. Boring. Spawn of a demon run company

MSN - some more features, most unreliable, downloading from contacts SUCKS. Spawn of a HEad Demon run company.

YAhoo - starting to rather like it. Good features, no reliabilty problems so far.

Trillian - top features, highly configurable, best IM client in general. But a prick to get used to, it does not work the way I like.

If this was a perfect world, I'd have Trillian with the ease of use of AIM.

I find Yahoo to have good features, but is otherwise just a poor AIM. Adnd you have to keep it open, which bugs me :)
