Subcription to topic

I really like this feature, but getting e-mail from it is really, really annoying.

Is there a way I can disable sending me e-mail whenever a subscribed topic is updated? I know they do it at SA.

I see no released hack at vB.org, but I'll look into writting my own that might accomplish what you want.
