When Kentucky asked for a redesign of their "Wildcat" logo several years ago, they asked someone in their art school to work on. As I recall, the crux of the story was that the artist was fired by the university, but UK sued the artist for the rights to the design he created and won. So, the artist, as a final shot at the university, submitted a slightly altered version of the logo... one that had a tongue that looked like a penis. The design was accepted, and UK used the logo for a few years before they finally realized the alteration.

So, as a result, some of the first items produced with the current UK Wildcat logo have a rather curious looking mouth.
