I'm majoring in Finance, and my 302 professor strongly suggested getting a subscription. That, and he usually goes over 2-3 articles each day in class. In addition, reading regularly should give me some bit of industry know-how which is good to have in job interviews.

Mergers and acquisitions, hostile takeovers, IPO's, securities, venture capitalism, return on equity, asset turnover, profit margin, hedge funds, PP&E, stockholder rate of return, price to book ratio

Umm...the issues I've seen of the Journal have like 2 pictures in it.

I've never taken any accounting classes and I understood that...

Whether or not that is a good thing is very much a debatable matter...

Yeah right now, we're talking alot about venture capitalist firms, and underwriters, which essentially have to convert what a company's equity value per share is, according to the books, and then either maximize it by buying up treasury stock, such as venture capitalists do, or take a new and/or privately-traded company, and adjust the same ratios for an IPO on the stock market, which is where the underwriters come into play.

I love this stuff :)
