Jake's footsteps resounded, echoing through the alleyway as he walked. Listening intently, he came for a little......action. No, not to pick a fight, but merely to try and be at the "right" place at the "right" time. To help someone in distress, to fight some gangsters in whose territory Jake might've been trespassing in, or a member of the Sith......either or any way, it mattered not to him, so long as he got a little bit of action....

Grinning, almost wolfishly, Jake continued walking forward, listening, waiting....

Jakob can hear a slight whimper, the sound of a girl crying. Her scream is muffled by the strong hand clamped over her mouth, and her cries grow weaker as Sol feeds. The bloodlust...oh, the bloodlust...the constant desire to feed on the blood of humans...his first feedings were upon young girls...three young girls saved him from the insanity of hunger with their own lives. This girl is doing the same...has done the same, actually. She is dead. He stands to his full height and pushes his silver glasses up his nose, adjusting his hat and walking towad the mouth of the alley...to see Jakob standing in his path with a determined look. Did he see? Perhaps not... Sol was 60 years old before he was turned less than a week ago. He has yet to adjust fully to his abilities as a vampire. He still thinks like a frail old man. He'd rather not fight Jakob. The youth of today are terribly strong and violent, and Sol knows his body will not withstand the punishment that Jakob can deliver.

"Stand aside, pup! Show some respect for your elders!"

"I only respect elders who act like elders. Not posing scum, like yourself, that feed on the life-blood of others.....and you were just the type of scum I was expectin' ta find! And as for the girl........"

Jake felt it, in that single instant, the loss of life. He felt the essence of the Force, however small, leave her body, and she went cold, like a corpse. This angered Jake immencely, but he took deep breaths, to gain some composure. The anger somehow managed to blow away the discovery (more like the abhorrence and disbelief of finding)of a Vampire, leaving him level-headed, cool-minded, and ready for a good fight. He gritted his teeth, and for just a split second, the Vampire could probably spot the slight ferality in his eyes, perhaps the slight growl of his voice as he spoke the next words, determined, hard, edged like a razor.

"......She will be avenged."

In one fluid motion, the sabers ignited and snapped to his hands, the white and black beams throwing light and casting shadows in a single instant. How he must've looked, illuminated and shaded by the glow of the blades. His next words were calm and deadly.

"Now come and face an honorable death, or die a coward skulking in the darkness with the blood of the innocent on your claws."

Lightsabers...

"You would fight an unarmed old man with lightsabers? You are a coward, to be sure, or a punk who simply thinks he's 'cool like that'...or whatever phrases you children use."

Sol isn't aware that he has the capability to disarm the boy. He would rather avoid this fight. But if he must humor this child, so be it.

"If you are going to threaten me, make a more convincing move."

"That's where you make your mistake, old man....."

Jake grinned wolfishly, eyeing his target.

".....I make no threats. I only make promises."

Jake charged, stopping just short of the old man, giving two swings, the left, black blade swiping low from right to left, and the right, white blade swiping hige from left to right.

The blades slow and halt short of their marks, stopped by Sol's abilities with telekinesis.

"Foolish boy...such a basic attack cannot work against me."

A cold, sharp wind blows through the alley, flaring the old man's trenchcoat. By way of the Force, Sol alters the image Jakob perceives, projecting an illusion not of an old man, but a cloaked figure with burning devil's eyes. In his mind he is not fighting a man, but a demon.

Jake saw the old man, transform before his eyes. He grew, and became a demon, a most dreadful creature to anyone else.....

But not Jake, a man full of bravado, a man full of pride, and a new Garou. This last fact made him bolder, more fierce than he had been before. And he was very fierce before.....

Seeing that his sabers' blades never met their mark, Jake grinned again. Basic attack? Merely a starting strike, and starting strikes didn't always land. It wasn't even worth talking about. No matter. With heightened impulsive thinking, he reverted to his martial arts style, bringing the sabers down and kicking the "creature" in its middrift with two connecting blows, jumping and delivering a quick left kick followed by a quick right kick. They landed on solid mass.

Because of the illusion, Jake wasn't aware that he had actually delivered two good blows to the old man's face.....but that was no matter, for as his feet touched ground again and he regained footing, he came into a defensive stance awaiting whatever this "demon" had for him.

The two kicks stagger the old man, removing the last illusion from Jakob's mind. Sol lands on a huge coil of ropes...a new illusion is in order. Telekinesis brings the ropes slithering across the ground, binding the Padawan's ankles. Jakob sees not rope; he sees instead venomous snakes. Sol takes his chance and beckons, trading movement of rope for movement of Jakob's black saber. The weapon comes to Sol's hand and he holds it low, watching for Jakob's next move.

Jake, gripping the saber with the Force, yanked it spinning out of his hand and it spun on him, burning the old man slightly as it began returning to Jake's hand. Jake controlled Impurity in its flight, cutting the "snakes" in half while his other hand, Purity, cut at the "striking heads" that came at him. As the flight ended, Impurity returned to his hands, and he spun it in a backhand to cut the last "head." The illusion dissipated, leaving the snakes as ropes.....

This old man was wearing Jake's patience thin. Jake awaited, waiting for any more illusions that the old man had to offer.

Sol stands and brushes himself off, not paying his burn any mind. How this idiot boy could withstand his illusions with such ease is a mystery. It seems he excels over-much in all things...a know it all punk. Too many of these, nowadays. But lacking proper training and a weapon, Sol can do naught to change this. He's wasting his time. He waves a hand, blowing Jakob from the alley and into the busy street. The old man sighs and walks away. He'll deal with the proud, impatient, righteously angry Jedi later...though he is wary of putting that label on Jakob. He has seen no Jedi-like acts from the boy.

Thrown into the middle of traffic, Jake rolls and dodges the crafts as they speed around him. He stood up and looked at the alleyway to see the old man walking away. Normally, he would've let it go, and let the old man just walk away, but he saw the man just drain the girl of life so easily, so simply......it couldn't go unpunished. It was just a girl......just a young woman.....something had to be done. Jumping through traffic, he persues the "creature" down the alley.

As he draws near to Sol, the old man evaporates into seemingly thin air. Well...at least that's one illusion that worked. Sol is two blocks away, seeking his next meal...an angry girlfriend slaps her boyfriend for disrespecting her. He returns the slap, and Sol snaps his fingers. The boy drops dead, and the girl follows him as if in a trance. Sol's second course has been found.

Jake saw him simply vanish into thin air. He punched the nearby wall in fustration, growling.....and then it came to him. He could transform, for surely a Garou had the nose to track him. And this was a necessary action.....for who knew what this "thing" would do.....

He snaps his saber down, and feels the change immediately as he begins to run, shifting as he did so. The energy flows, coursing through his body, triggering changes. His hairs became coarse, and lengthened, and the body bulked up, and he suddenly was moving way faster than he ever had. He blazed down the alleyways, sniffing out the "creature." He was, after the tail grew and the head transmuted into a human-like wolf head.

He stays in the shadows for a few moments, and watches in anger and horrow as the boyfriend simply drops dead and the woman begins walking, as if in a trance, towards the old man. He growls, and as the elder blinked for one second, he found the woman gone, and the wolf-like behemoth, salibating as he growlled and stalked forward, and hit him square in the face with claws, sending him sprawling into the wall. The wall partially gave way, and cracked, chipped, and broke as he impacted. The wolf grinned, and awaited for the "prey," as he now saw it, gnashing his teeth viciously. All that could be audible:

"GRRRRRRRRRR........"

Sol Invictus

Perhaps this one could be turned? Sol can't help but wonder. The wolf is clearly the "Jedi" he faced earlier. And judging from the anger that backs his blows, he could make a fine Sith...even if he doesn't join the Shrine. Sol stands, the hunger for blood clouding him somewhat, and brushes the dust from his coat. He won't realize until later that the impact against the wall had a much weaker effect than would have been normal. He gestures, a repetitive motion, drawing yet another bystander to him.

"Tell me, pup...for that is what you literally are...would it eat your guts out to see me drink the life giving wine that flows in this girl's body? Would it anger you? Would you hate me for it?"

He catches her in a firm grasp, interposing her body between Jakob and himself. There is no room behind him; thus any attempt at a rear attack is nullified. To get Sol, Jakob must go through this girl. He twists her arm behind her back and grins wickedly, his long eyeteeth glistening. The girl bends her head away, unwittingly exposing her neck to him. He bites her, taking drinking for a moment as one would drink from a glass, before staving the flow of blood with the Force. No sense in wasting a good meal, after all. He waits on Jakob's answer.

Jake good yet zealotically simple mind goes ballistic at the sight of the bite. In Crinos form, he lunges, knocking the girl aside. He then deals several blows to the old man's chest. Each blow has enough power that it cracks the man's sternum with each hit. As the last strike lands, his sternum breaks and his heart is pierced by the shards. Howling, he flings the man into another brick wall, much further away from the bleeding girl. The wall gives and breaks, and Jake it on him in a second, kicking at the fallen man. All through it he howls his lust for violence.

Good. He's done here. Jakob's entire body freezes as Sol seizes him with the Force.

"Keep it up, my 'Jedi' friend...you'll make an excellent Sith one day!"

Sol returns Jakob's Force Push tenfold. By the time the wolf has recovered, the old man is gone.

"Grrrrrrr......."

Jake's primal form gets up, angered, but with nothing around to be angered at......a dilemma. Should he ravage the street? No, the human side overrode and shunted into the Homid form, his stature and strenght diminishing. His hair flung wildly as it returned into a human length, and as the rough body hair simply melted into his skin. His head changed, and he was human. He immediately swooned, bracing himself against a wall. He breathed hard....and growled as he sulked away. He had failed, the girl wasn't avenged....but the other could be saved. Using all the strength he had, he picked her up and took her to a hospital, nearly two blocks away. Once that was done, he exited, walking the ever familiar streets. They weren't of Courscant, but all lower level streets looked and felt the same. He simply walked away......
