...all my Captain Planet fans out there! Everybody loves the Cap'n! The powers of Earth! Wind! Water! Fire! Heart! What could be more wholesome and just plain AWESOME! :D

Come on...I can see you...looking at this thread...wondering if you should post. You're saying to yourself:

"Gee. This guy is a brave man. He is openly expressing his deep connection to and appreciation for Captain Planet. The Captain. Our...Captain..."

But don't get choked up. I know there are some doubters out there, and they are going to doubt. So lets put our magic rings together and call upon the Forces of good!

*Clapping his hands now*

*Singing: Captain Planet! He's our hero! Gonna take pollution down to zero!*

Come on everyone! Together!

....forgive me for this thread....it is late.......:lol

You want a magic ring and some real power? Try this one on for size.

Hal Jordan as Green Lantern. The best, and most powerful superhero ever in the DCU, even with the yellow impurity.

Green Lantern??? Bleh :x

Jan 10th, 2003, 02:23:14 AM
One M, bubble-boy!

And Captain Marvel kicks booty. But not as much as GL does.

Heck, that ring could take out Sauron six ways from Sunday in a hearbeat.

Didn't Shazaam have Shaq in it??

No wait...that was K-azaam. My fault. Big, bald, hump-backed camel and some midget kids versus Shaq on the B-ball court. I see the comparison.

:D

Terran, there is really only one thing i can think of that I can say or do in bringing up that horror called Captain Planet.

FORCE HEAD EXPLOSION!

(Lets see Mr Anti Pollution clean up THAT mess!)

As long as it's Hal Jordan as GL.

Although that Elseworlds with Bruce Wayne as GL was pretty cool.

Yeah, Alan Scott was okay, but, Hal was the best. Kyle can kiss my butt since he is the moronic creation of Ron Marz, the comic-destroyer.

Guy Gardner was amusing, though. But the worst ever was John Stewart. Wait, no, there was G'nort...

I like Kyle :(

Oriadin
Jan 10th, 2003, 07:08:30 AM
I remember watching it, not really thinking much of it. I can hardly remember it now. Its nothing in comparison to He-Man, Transformers and Thundercats

Want a morning Cartoon? Voltron!

Levi Argon
Jan 10th, 2003, 09:07:25 AM
We're the planeteers, you can be one too!
Coz saving our planet is the thing to do!
Looting and polluting is not the way.
Here's what Captain Planet has to say:

The Power is Yours!!!

"Five cats one?"

Was there any other version of Voltron? I just remember the one with the five cats that assembled into the big robot dude.

...and ya know what?! Ninja Turtles beats all those cartoons! :p

...or He-man/She-Ra....

Nothing can lick...THE TICK! SPOOOOOON!

Yeah, the 5 cats one. That was awesome. Or Thundercats. It was all awesome.

Emily Rochette

Thundercats.. BLEH! >_<

The Tick rocked.. :D

Wei Wu Wei
Jan 10th, 2003, 03:50:39 PM
The Tick was great. Why did they ever get rid of that show? That show was classic. The Ninja Turtles were great too. Who knows how many Halloweens I trick or treated as a ninja turtle. they need to bring that show back.

imported_Terran Starek
Jan 10th, 2003, 03:52:55 PM
Yeah..Ninja Turtles was a good one. Have you seen the old comics? They are very, very cool. The art is raw and they are kind of violent. But they are more like real Ninjas--they don't say stupid crap like "Cowabunga!" or eat pizza! :lol

I'll try to find a link to the old comic--they have the first one posted on the net. You can read the entire thing in your browser.

Dae Jinn
Jan 10th, 2003, 03:55:28 PM
Ew, Voltron :x

Jem was da bomb, as well as She-ra, He-man, Snorkels, Smurfs (Most demented show EVER!), the really old Spiderman. All from when I was younger :D The tick is awesome as well...
But, the weirdest show, was Dr Snuggles. So weird :x

Okee, found it. You can read the whole first comic here (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/mirage/one/pg01.htm). It's pretty cool. Rated maybe PG-13 tops.

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles was nifty. Thundercats was good, and I remember the D&D cartoon being good.

Jan 10th, 2003, 05:10:37 PM
THUNDERCATS! woo that rocked...

Where are all the G.I. Joe and Transformers fans at?

Two of the greatest cartoons ever, and CN still plays them.

Sejah Haversh
Jan 10th, 2003, 11:34:09 PM
I was a G.I.Junkie, and a Transformers addict, too. But, as TMNT came onto the scene, I sort of got drawn to it. I still like G.I.Joe better, but, TMNT was darn cool.

And anybody remember the Silverhawks or Tigersharks?

I so wish that Bucky O'Hare hadn't come out. If it hadn't a Space Usagi cartoon would ahve been made, showcasing the absolute talent of Stan Sakai, creator of Usago Yojimbo.

Zeke
Jan 10th, 2003, 11:36:22 PM
I saw some Silverhawks once. Didn't see enough to get a good opinion though.

Jamel Croko'yn
Jan 10th, 2003, 11:39:03 PM
It's all about TMNT, ain't nothing ever going to beat that, no matter who you are.

Vega Van-Derveld
Jan 11th, 2003, 03:44:09 AM
"Magic, Magic E"?

Yes! And "Spy Watch", "Geordie Racer" and something about a magazine company.. with puncation marks as characters o_O

Jamel Croko'yn
Jan 11th, 2003, 04:31:53 AM
I've seen silverhawk, I'm sure of it

Diego Van Derveld
Jan 11th, 2003, 02:23:53 PM
Blech, I hated Silverhawks.

Zeke
Jan 11th, 2003, 04:57:23 PM
I remember making a comparison between Silverhawks and a space-age, winged, armored group of Thundercats. I think it was the art style that caused that one.

Diego Van Derveld
Jan 11th, 2003, 05:20:38 PM
Considering that it was done by the same people...thats not too much of a leap

Zeke
Jan 11th, 2003, 05:44:29 PM
Didn't know that. Like I said, I haven't seen much of it...maybe 5 minutes if I'm lucky.

Sejah Haversh
Jan 11th, 2003, 08:40:49 PM
Tigersharks was the even lamer attempt by the Thundercats team to redeem themselves after Silverhawks. Man, both were awful.
