I got to see TTT yesterday night! Kick-ASS! Gimli is a really funny dude! And Gollum's little victory dance after he tells his bad side to go away is funny...Actually, that whole scene was funny. :D


sorry if I'm not making any sense, it's early in the morning...:)

You made perfect sence to me and yes that was cool. I like gimli at Helms Deep when he say toss me and Aragorn looks at him funny..come to think of it Gimli was funny in that whole part :lol

I loved it. Saw it on Saturday. Gonna see it again ASAP after xmas. Legolas was too cool again :D

I have read the books.

Deadly dull mainly.

Thence, it was only when I saw the second last trailer for FOTR that I wanted to see the movie at all. Then Mark came home from a showing and was raving, dragged me along... and it is still the only movie I hve seen more than twice in a theatre. Just finished watching the very much better Extended Edition now as well. Quite hard to believe such a already excellent movie could be improved as it was. Lothlorien is superb!

Im reading the books now. Some parts are very tedious. I find myself taking ages to read three or four pages and then flying though the next 4 pages because is suddenly gets exciting. I think tolkin goes into too much detail too often. He can take up two pages just decribing the weather. Which is all very well and good but it begins to get boring! The bits where the story actually moves forward are excellent though!

I got bored 50 pages into FotR, and moved on to greener pastures (Clancy, Pratchett, etc)

If you enjoyed watching FotR, you should enjoy TTT. More action, but a little less character, IMO. I prefer Fellowship, but to each their own.

I've seen it 3 times, and that section of dialoge is still my favorite scene :)

Yes he was, but Legolas was really, I mean really cool in this one. Shotting arrows and everything, with some other sick moves he did made him a little bit better then gimli, IMO.

Favorite Gimli Scene-
When you see the Elves and Rohan people lined up for battle, and you see the tip of Gimli's helmet, and that's it. He's all like, " Whats going on out there? ", he was freaking hilarious!

"Would you like me find you a box?" Seems nearly every main character in contact with Gimli made a crack about his height :D

Not often I plan to see a movie more than once. Planning another three trips for the next few weeks - who knows how many ranger-boy is going to take.
