Go now, if you want it
Another world awaits you
Don't you give up on it
You bite the hand that feeds you

All alone, cold fields you wander
Memories of it cloud your sight
Fills your dreams, disturbs your slumber
Lost your way, a fallen knight

Hold now, aim is steady
Another world awaits you
One thousand years - you ready?
The other world it takes you

Go into the sand, and the dust in the sky
Go now, there's no better plan than to do or to die
Free me, pray to the faith in the face of the light
Feed me, fill me with sin, and now get ready to fight

You know you will
You know you will
You know, you know, you know, you know that you will
You know, you know, you know, you know that you will
You know you will

Fight, fight, fight
Fight, fight, fight
Fight, fight, fight
Fight, fight, fight

Hope dies and you wander
The other world it makes you
Dreams they rip asunder
The other world it hates you
Free now, ride up on it
Up to the heights it takes you
Go now, if you want it
Another world awaits you

Juste un autre jour, juste un autre jour dans l'éternité.

Just another day, just another day into eternity. But the day that he had recieved a rather odd invitation had made that day in itself... forever. What was just a simple invite would be something that would change his life for eternity, whether it went well... or not.

But what was there to lose other than a life, in which had nothing of interest any longer, with nothing left to lose? Like a child, he began to lose himself, escaping into worlds other than the present. And why? He needed more. More than what his life was offering him now. When life gives you apples, you had better d*mn well reach out further to grab golden apples.

Which was what brought him here, after much thought of course. He stood far off from the initial point of judgment into the gates of some unknown hell. Who knew what evil lay beyond that finely adorned entrance , who knew whether they would reach towards salvation or complete and utter torture? Doom or sheer luck..

"What is there to lose? I could die in there, yes.. but without meaning, it feels like I already have." Lexius thought to himself.

The invitation from Dalamar had haunted him for many nights, tempting him to drop what life he had, to grasp what he truly might be destined for. The life of a common man was nothing, nothing compared to the power and meaning of the Sith, and not only just the Sith, but vampires.

With one last breath, he finally stepped forward, and down the path towards the Gates of Destiny, where, like many, he would find his own décret de devine.

With a mind that wandered to the many things that were understandably in his thoughts, the time had passed by quickly on his short journey to the gates whence he stood. His dark eyes turned up to the keepers, knowing that they would most likely question him about his name and business first and foremost.

"I am Lexius De Wilde, I was invited here by Dalamar."

The Guardian stepped aside "You where expected sir." The massive doors opened smoothly on oiled hinges. Lexius was escorted by two guards dressed in crimson with ornate weaving of gold embroidery going up each arm. They walked thru the great vaulted ceiling of the main hall passing great works of art as they went. Rare and beautiful artifacts lined the walls. Delicate sea folk porcelain, and aged jade in the shape of little figure's where also seen.

Finnally they reached the attendance hall Dalamar's back was to the door he hands clasped behind him. His black ebony armor glistening even in the dim light of the room. A giant map of the universe was displayed before him. Without looking back he gestured to his right for Lexius to make himself comfortable. "Bring wine, bread and fruit for our guest along with some hot towels so he can refresh himself." The Dark Lord Commanded. "Welcome Lexius you have been expected now tell me what can the Shrine do for you?"

The shadows danced against the inscribed designs amongst the door; faint light dying away, fleeing away from the darkness within. The two guards motioned for him to follow, and led him through an equally fancy hallway, the paintings much different than he had imagined. And yet still, they interested him, they drew him in as if they too were a part of this group's power as well as it's majesty.

He withdrew himself from the world of art when he heard the guards' footsteps cease. His as well came to a stop, when he caught sight of the man who had invited him here to this place.

Before Lexius could think of anything to say, the man that stood with his back towards him motioned to his right. When he looked in the direction, he noticed the seat and knew even without words that Dalamar was offering him a seat.

"Bring wine, bread and fruit for our guest along with some hot towels so he can refresh himself." Dalamar said.

As the guards left to do as they were told, Lexius took the seat that he was offered, feeling more at ease than he had when he first approached the building. With most people, they would be nervous; but this was one person who would rather get the initial start over with, then let everything come to him as it pleased.

"Welcome Lexius you have been expected now tell me what can the Shrine do for you?" the vampyre asked him, still not looking at him.

Lexius drew in a breath, the room feeling deafeningly quiet, more so than before. Nevertheless, he answered without too much thought.

"Purpose. I did not feel that my place in life was where I was at." He said, pausing for a moment. "I believe that my place is here, unless I am proven wrong."

Do you understand fully the scope of what you are asking for? Never to see the sun again, some cannot bear it. Would you willingly take on the thirst? Dalamar turned to face his guest. His crimson eye's burrowed into the young man's face. Lexius seemed to have a momentary flash of fear which quickly faded.

The Dark Lord stood there arms crossed in front of him waiting for the man's answer.

Lexius had reacted out of petty human instinct at first, but with a quick thought, he pushed what little fear he had aside. He wouldn't be human if he were accepted into this organization, so he figured that human instinct would fade away along with his trust in those instincts. After all, what was a little blood to spill? He had seen it done before his own eyes on a few occasions, and it didn't seem to phase him any longer. Though, spilling it on your own might be different, it still is making quite a mess.

"I am not bothered by causing early demise, or intaking the blood that flows through the living. I can also live without the sun since I could care less what time of the day it is."

Lexius seemed at ease, much more so than the first time these two crossed paths.

"We shall see, follow me." Rising Lexius and Dalamar walked down the vaulted halls. The two black deathwatch guards fell in flanking there Warlord. They walked into a round room where it appeared there was stains of blood marking the walls. WIth a signal they where left by the guards as Dalamar punched some controls on his guantlet. The floor descended with the loud jerk of heavy machinnery the guards soon faded from sight.

Eventually the stone elevator had reached its destination. There before the two was a simple door with a skull doorknob. Over the door was writing in gold with red trim. Ela macha Munona it read. Dalamar put his black gauntleted glove on the handle. Turning to look at Lexius he paused. "Are you sure once this door is opened there may be no turning back. I suggest you give it your deepest consideration."

Lexius had watched the guards until they disappeared, his gaze then turning to Dalamar. Both had been silent until finally, the elevator stopped, facing a doorway, the two doors darkly decorated with gold and red, but most frightening of them all, the skull. But this appealed to Lexius, so he felt nothing of what someone else might feel. Fear, anxiety, possibly regret. On the contrary, he wanted to move on.

"Are you sure once this door is opened there may be no turning back. I suggest you give it your deepest consideration." Dalamar said to him.

Lexius looked away from the door and back to Dalamar. A warning? Well, that was very considerate, but this was one man that was sure of himself on these grounds.

"I do not wish to turn back. Not now, not ever." Lexius said, while thinking that there was nothing to turn back to.

One would argue that he did have something, his old job, his girlfriend that he just left behind without another thought, his family. But all of that... bored him, seemed to shun him. It wasn't right for him. Those gates, these faces, these two doors before him; all of this was right. His life was finally getting on track for once. He could only hope that his hopes were correct, and not just wishful dreaming. After all, from this point on it was life... or death.

Dalamar smiled he had no doubts about this one but still the question had to be asked. Turning the knob the entered a semi large circular room. Spikes and chains protruded out of the wall and dried blood was splattered on the them and ground. In the center of the room looked to be a drain. Stained in crimson and rust from all the battle's that had occured here.

Standing opposite of Dalamar was another new Recruit it was a Rodian green and scaly dressed only in street clothe's behind him another Vampyre hands the Rodian a bone dagger as a weapon.

Across from them Dalamar also reaches into his cloak. Out came a dagger,a black handle and sheathe with a silver blade. "Fight well for you represent me." the Warlord said with a razor smile. "I have no fear that you will be the victor Lexius do not dissapoint me." The vampyre spoke with all seriousness as if Lexius's dying would be somehow a breach of protocol. A large gong intoned and all looked up a small man with a limp came out with a crimson scarf in his hand. He spoke and even the Vampyre's listened. "When the clothe touches the ground you shall begin." the man said with an air of authority. Dalamar and his companion departed the crimson pit floor. The red scarf floated to the floor.........

Upon entering the room behind the door, Lexius could tell immediatly what this was, an arena. From the spikes to the chains and blood stains, the room smelled like blood, sweat, and most of all, death. Lexius kept his rather calm look, although his eyes were drawn to the blood stains scattered across the walls.

His eyes drew across the left side of the circle, rightwards, until he spotted the Rodian and the other vampyre. The Rodian took into his hand a weapon, one much alike to the one that Dalamar was now handing to him.

"Fight well for you represent me." the Warlord said, grinning at the man that he had chose for this. "I have no fear that you will be the victor Lexius do not dissapoint me."

Lexius reached out and grabbed the dagger, knowing that he had agreed to everything before they had even stepped foot before the two deadly doors. This was a part of the agreement, and he had no arguments. He rather felt joyed for some reason. This was not the ordinary day to day menial tasks that he had once been used to. This was different, this was exciting; this was grand.

Of course, though, his opponent would be quite difficult, he knew. Rodians were a rather agressive species, and had advantages over a man like Lexius. Dexterity, for one, and improved eyesight. He'd have to rely on instinct after all, as well as his own intellect.

When the gong sounded, Lexius offered his attention to the limping man that everyone was seemingly listening to. He himself listened very intently, knowing that this had to be crucial.

"When the clothe touches the ground you shall begin." the man said, just before dropping the scarlet scarf.

The Rodian saw the scarf hit the floor way before Lexius did, his advantages already proving useful. Although Lexius had lost that advantage, he had an ace up his sleeve. He had appeared to be watching the scarf, but was watching the Rodian from the corners of his eyes.

When the Rodian jumped out at him, he dived forward into a roll, then came to his knees and looked behind him to wait for the Rodian's next move, plans going through his mind quickly.

Dalamar sat in his chair above the Crimson pit. The odds where in the Rodian's favor. Dalamar bet on Lexius at 10 to 1 odds. His fellow vampyre's noted his wager. Some changing there bets knowing full well Dalamar's estimation of fighting spirit. They moved in toward's each other the fighting began.

The Rodian bellowed, frustrated that he had not been able to at least scrape his enemy on the first swing. His rage wasn't too difficult to set off, and he was immediatly determined on tearing Lexius to pieces. But Lexius just wouldn't have that, not without a fight at least.

The Rodian was fast, and Lexius nearly met his maker when the Rodian swiped at him. But a quick roll forwards allowed him enough time to get out of the way and stand up so that this wouldn't be a real fight, and not a ballet.

"Can't catch a human, can you? How embarrassing." Lexius teased.

The Rodian said something in Rodese(spelling?), something that Lexius couldn't understand since he was not learned in the language. But by the tone of his opponent's voice, he was not pleased one bit.

Lexius faked a running step forward, but quickly skipped to the side. A smile peeked on his face, laughter further aggrivating the alien. With a rather upset growl, of some sorts, the Rodian dashed at Lexius and tried for a jab at his stomach. Lexius turned his left side to the Rodian and bent slightly back so that it would miss him, just barely.

"He's fast. I have to think of a way to make that to his disadvantage.." Lexius thought.

When Lexius backed away, his eyes met with one of the spikes against the walls just behind the Rodian. The spark of an idea was held for a moment, when Lexius had to return his attention to the oncoming enemy.

Lexius ducked just moments before the Rodian was close enough to slice his neck, stepping to the side at the same time with his dagger held out at the Rodian's side.

A painful scream echoed throughout the arena, signifying that the creature had been hit.

"It's just a flesh wound, stop your cry babying at once." Lexius further coxed the beast.

It was then that he too felt a sharp pain, he had just barely been scathed himself. Blood dripped from a small wound just about the top of his shoulder, near the base of his neck. A few moments longer and it would have been in his neck..

Dalamar leaned forward watching the battle intently. He smiled to himself when the first cut was made. The look of determination on Lexius face was all the convincing Dalamar needed, the Rodian would soon be dead. Dresto's and Maneigh still had hope's for there new recruit the Rodian. Dresto's approached the Dark Lord "Care for a side wager. Your human looks a little tired. "

"Do not underestimate the cunning of the human's Dresto's. This one has a quality that I find most refreshing. " Your wager is accepted much to your suprise I'm sure." The velvet bag of gold coin's was handed to the small man with the limp as the battle below continued unabated.

The Rodian was not amused by what Lexius said, but was pleased to find a bit of blood soaking the human's shoulder. He laughed, speaking in a teasing manner that was much more understandable than the language it was in.

Lexius didn't let it bother him, after all, he was at the disadvantage and had nothing to be ashamed of. He was lucky he was even still alive. His opponent was foolish, couldn't control his anger, and would meet his end because of this.

The two circled the arena, side stepping slowly as each tried to come up with a logical plan that would get either closer to being the victor.

Lexius sniffed the air, then put a look of disgust on his face. "Did you just let one loose, or is that the way you usually stink?"

Once again, as always, the Rodian was fooled into making the attack. When he was close enough, Lexius stepped aside, dragging his right foot just right. The Rodian saw it a little too late, and toppled over.

The arena echoed his screams once more, only these clung on and were followed by a string of curses in Rodese.

"Dang, he wasn't close enough... But at least we're even now." Lexius thought.

The Rodian flailed along the ground, both hands cradling his left eye which had barely glazed the spike. This injury would put a damper on his seeing abilities, his depth perception, and his overall performance. After all, when you can only see half the picture, you cannot do an efficient enough job.

Lexius took the chance while the Rodian was down, kicking the dagger he had dropped away from him. To his dismay, though, the Rodian snagged his foot and pulled him off his feet so that he would not have the chance to attack.

Dresto's laughed when Lexius fell. "I think your human is about to bite the bullet Dalamar. I will be glad to collect your money especially after the last time you beat me." Dalamar returned with a quip of his own. "Do not count your money yet Dresto's. You always assume the battle is over before the real fighting begins."

The Rodian and Lexius scrambled to their feet, the Rodian stumbling since without the use of one of his eyes he was left unbalanced. This was beginning to prove quite useful already for Lexius. Already on his feet, he dove at the Rodian and tackled him back down, raising his arm to thrust it into his chest.

"DIE!" Lexius screamed, a hint of possible lunacy in his tone.

The Rodian gripped his arm, pushing with all his might to prevent Lexius from killing him. The two struggled with it for a moment before the Rodian kicked Lexius in a manner that was not befitting a real man's fight.

Lexius looked like a deer in the headlights, his lungs expelling all air as he dropped to the Rodian's side.

"You want to fight dirty?" Lexius thought with a growl. "Fine then!"

The Rodian crawled away, desperately looking for his dagger. Surely, in his mind, he had to of been thinking of his last attack as rather cowardly. Every man has the same weakness, but it's not something you bring into a real fight. But then again, this was life or death.

Lexius got to his knees, seemingly dazed, but slowly got to his feet. When he stood to his full height, he wavered, but regained his composure quickly. The Rodian hadn't found his weapon yet, but would soon find that was the least of his problems.

Lexius silently moved in towards the Rodian, grabbing the back of his shirt. The Rodian began to struggle a bit too late, only working his torso into his opponent's dagger.

Lexius refused to let him go, no matter how hard he struggled or yelled in his language. He simply dragged the creature to his feet harshly and held the back of his neck so close to him that the Rodian's head tilted back.

Without so much as a word, Lexius unsheathed his dagger from the Rodian's backside and brought it cleanly across his neck without hesitation. Once he completed a long slice from one side to the next, he let the Rodian go and kicked him away.

"Bloody ,Bloody hell." Dreso's cursed. More curse's followed as he stormed away.
"Any time you care to wager let me know Dresto's." The Warlord said mockingly to Dresto's departing back. Collecting his money from the man with the limp, he went down to congratulate the winner.

Dalamar stood before the Crimson Pit door. Opening it he found Lexius bloody and winded. Gesturing for his two attendants they helped him up and out of the Pit. Turning to go his attendance had no choice but to follow bringing Lexius in tow. "I had no doubt of your abilities, you did as I expected. You have the look and the hunger I think you will go far. You are tired and hurt we will speak more about it tomorrow." Turning to the attendant's he continued. "Take him to the bacta tanks give him the full treatment. Also gather his Dagger it is to be one of his coronation gifts." With a sweep of his cloak he turned from the room leaving Lexius to be tended to.

When Lexius saw the attendants approach, he snapped out of the daze he was in during the entire battle. A satisfied sneer crossed his weary face, his breathes deep and rewarding.

"I had no doubt of your abilities, you did as I expected. You have the look and the hunger I think you will go far. You are tired and hurt we will speak more about it tomorrow." Dalamar said.

Lexius nodded respectfully, smiling again.

"Very well." He said, his voice sounding just as tired as he felt.

Lexius followed the attendants, but wished to walk on his own even though the attendants offered assistence. For now, he was too proud of himself to want help. This was his moment; a human that was able to defeat the odds. Just imagine how he'd be as a vampyre.

He isn’t around anymore but please feel free to rp. Were you turned before and do you have the thread or are you still human waiting to be turned? Either way you need to pick who you would like to have as a master :) I am unsure if Soth is taking anyone.... I am out of commission for now as a master and that leaves Ambrose and Kolarik. :)

Sorry about the nick, this is Lexius. But anyways, I haven't been turned yet. I'll take whoever is on the most to turn me. I kind of have a bad habit of rping with people who aren't on as much as I am on a daily basis.
