Went over to a friend today/tonight, and I gave them their first real look at Final Fantasy 10. Both were speechless. (they are twins). We also played some GTA3 and some Dead or Alive 3. Both decent games.
But that was mere child's play. I had forgotten that back when AotC came out, those two, me and a buddy of mine all went to the mall to watch it. Either before or after, we stopped at K*B Toy's store. One of the twins bought a blue "laser sword", which is basically a lightsaber but cheaper. Today, while there, he took it out, and started poking me with it. So I took it from him, he ran, and about 2 minutes later, he showed up with his Darth Maul dual blade saber.
The first thought into my mind, was that him and I were going to have a fight outside, int he 10-20 ºF weather, ontop the solid snow that we have had for the past few days. And that's exactly what we did.
It was loads of fun. And slipping on their drive-way while blocking a dual blade = hard. The one guy also did this move, where he ran, jumped up on a three or so foot tall tree stump, pushed off, and did a spinning attack through the air. That was the best thing I've seen all weekend. He tried it again, and almost scored the part in the musical of the Nutcracker.
That was a nice break to kill the mood from the weekend (my car died and some other junk) and the start of finals today.
