It's at the ArchLight Cineramadome..which is literally about a 5 minute walk. I saw stuff on the news with crowd shots. I'm considering strolling up there to gawk.

Aren't some of you jealous? ;) I'm not even a LOTR fan.

I'd be jealous if you were going to watch the movie.

Me too.
I'll see it, but not anytime soon ^_^; I'm already going to be scraping money for my rent this month.

I'll be seeing it in a little more than 48 hours anyway, so I'm cool with it. :)

It was interesting seeing the liomo's drive up and having hundred of girls scream out actors names while they(the actors) were being interviewed. With the crush of media and my somewhat poor eye sight it was tough for me to make out all the people, but it appeared that just about everyone was there.

It was an interesting experience.

I called a few of my friends back home while I was out there with the throng of people. Wanted to give them a little "Hollywood flavor". ;)

In 36 hours, 25 minutes and 20 seconds, I'll see TTT.

...Or maybe not. I arrived at Rio 18 20 minutes ago with Di'an (my neighbor) to see the 12am feature, and they had been sold out since 7:30pm. There didn't appear to be many people there at all, though. That really burns my butt. There are 400 people in that theater now watching the previews instead of me. GRRRR...eating my favorite loews theater hot dogs and dots ice cream. GRRRR! Curses to them! It's ours, it is, and we wants it. The thieves, the thieves, the filthy little thieves. Where are they with my Precious? Curse them! We hates them.

Well...you didn't think about advance purchasing? Yikes, you should've known better man.

Di'an and I each own the FOTR Extended Cut, which came with a TTT ticket. Buying a new TTT ticket when I already have one would have been unkosher.

If I am correct, the thing was a coupon that covered up to 10.50 of a ticket's purchase. Thus, my question still stands, as you could have used the thing to advance purchase.

Any Word on reviews? I have heard mostly postive reviews, Ebert was pretty ho hum about it saying it doesn't live up to the books, whatever, I give up with him.

Ebert panned AotC and the original Batman. Why do people listen to him, much less any "film critic"?

He gave spiderman a Thumbs down too, he is gotten weird lately, I don't listen to him at all now.

Batman was five times the movie Spiderman was...albeit I was never a Spiderman fan, and I've got a natural appreciation of Jack's Joker.

Any Word on reviews?

Same as before. Praise almost to the point of embarrassment, some flaws, some holy <smallfont color={hovercolor}>-Censored-</smallfont> how did they do that - and Ebert apparently did like TTT.

I just picked my friends up from the airport, they were in Australia for the past 3 weeks. If their flight had landed on time I would have been able to get to the midnight showing of TTT, which should be getting to the climax right about.........now, but no, it was 30 minutes late and that was the end of that. Now I'll have to wait until thursday at least.:(
