Is there anyway to have this apply to all of the roleplaying groups forums as well as the main board forums?

Not currently. The groups forums' stylesets are set to override users' choices.

I have tried in the past to make it possible for the group boards to have more than a single style available but had no success. :\

That would be a pretty neat feature... to be able to check a box that says something like "Allow groups style sets to overide your choice" or something... then if you check it, it happens. Would that be very difficult to code?
