I've seen some of my accounts displayed as browsing a forum, when I know that they are not.

It happens to me too sometimes. When I'm up at the station...I think it's cookies maybe?

IE is horrible at cookie managment. If you use IE at all, its cookies are most likely the cause.

I got a PM from my nephew today, time was about 1 pm our time...said he was seeing me on who's online, and was wondering, as I don't have internet access. I'm here at work now, so maybe something is going on??? I was not online earlier, this is the first time I've logged in since.....um...Sunday afternoon?

I haven't been hovering in Who's Online today, so I don't know, but its a good place to see if someone's IP isn't matching their usual IP.

If you are worried, I would recommend you change your account PW.

This shows it perfectly. I assure you, I am not logged in as Keerrourri Sarrtarroa at the time. The IP's however, are identical.

It was from activity 11 minutes previous, which could easily been caused by cookie files on your PC. Having multiple URLs, multiple browsers, and multiple cookie files for our site is only compounding this issue to be more noticeable than it was previous.

Stick with nothing but Mozilla for 24 hours and I bet you don't see it happen with your name unless someone else at the university uses another PC you used to access the site while you are using a different one.

Cookies don't care, IE corrupts them frequently while Mozilla does it less frequently. Especially for people that do as much name switching as you. :p
