Got midnight tickets a week before, and enjoyed every minute of the midnight showing. I love a packed theater full of geeks and LOTR fans! It's always so much fun! :D

I saw the midnight show... I've posted my rambling thoughts in the thread in the Box Office forum on the main board.

Overall, very good. A couple of things that raised a curious eyebrow, a couple of others that I didn't care for... but the good and the awesome far outweighed the questionable and the bad.

Faramir's character change and the taking of Frodo, Sam and Gollum to Osgiliath were my biggest complaints.

A couple of lesser things were... okay. Eomer's banishment and Haldir's death at Helm's Deep were both kind of strange during my first viewing, but I'm not going to complain too much.

Most things were very good, being so divergent from the book.

Having not read the books...its still a good movie. IMO its not up to par with Fellowship, but I enjoyed it a good deal.

Finally saw it and all I can say is best damn movie ever. How the hell it beat FOTR is beyond me, but absolutly awesome.
