I guess with Alabama on Probation, going to A&M makes more sense.

I'm sure AL can find a new coach, but what affects will this have on recruitment for AL and TX A&M?

Expect some recruits to follow Franchione to A&M...

Personally I think that, with their program on probation, Alabama would be better off to promote someone from within their own staff to head coach... at least some stability could be maintained, rather than trying to get a big name and mess up recruiting further.

Texas A&M's coaching staff is one of the best paid in the nation, I don't blame him at all for switching over from Bama....I'm sure his wife is happy with the decision.

Plus Fran's from Texas, and I heard his wife missed the Lone Star State. Texas A&M has the real deal, Fran is a GREAT coach.

Of course watch him leave in 5 or less years for the NFL.
