Well not exactly new, he's at least 8 years old, but before this he's been my sister's. My dad, however, was tired of his house becoming a zoo, so I adopted him. Now he's a happy 6" Blanding's turtle in his brand new, decked out aquarium.

In conclusion, Ein, my turtle, rocks.

How could your turtle run away? :(

My brother had one, he escaped from his tank, and my mum found him about a week later in her room. Still alive, which was good. :)

Awww!! HE DOES ROCK! And he's cute :D

I used to have two turtles I found in the street one day. I had them for about three years untill one died then I had the other for a year before he died too.

I named them after two of the TMNT :D

My mom used to play a game when she was little where her brothers and sisters would sing a song while they used a bedsheet as a trampoline to bounce their pets...one day, my mom and 3 of her brothers put their turtle, Allen, onto the bed sheet.

.....they threw too hard...the turntle hit the roof and its shell cracked. They put it back in the tank, and it died a week later...:(

The moral of this (true) story: Never use a bedsheet like a trampoline when you're throwing a turtle and you have 3 very hyper brothers...:lol

I had a Box Turtle Once, It was born without a left rear leg. He would scoot around in circles all day. Then my Mom gave him away cause I didn't clean his cage once.

...riiight....

I think your mom gave him away because he got boring...

On of my friend's hamsters drowned...it was drinking out of a water bottle and the little sleeping house fell apart and pinned the poor Hamster...:(...but he got a dog afterwards...:lol

I was watching my cockatiel in his cage when he just slipped off his perch and broke his neck when he hit the ground :/

I'm sticking to my oscars now.

Oscars. They're fish. Pardon the low res and shaky hand, but that's them... in a 100 gallon show tank.. that should give you a size reference :)
