A promotion celebration for Oriadin!

[Helenias Evenstar]

"Make way for our newest Knight!" I exclaimed, coming into the Bar and Grill. "May he live long, but suffer tomorrow morning with a hangover!"

[Oriadin]

Oriadin walked in to see the many faces in the Bar and Grill turn and look at him. Some people may have found this embarassing but all he could do was smile and enjoy the moment.

It had been some time ago when he first entered the ways of the Jed. Many things had changed. People had come and gone and Oriadins life was again filled with memories and stories of his life at the Jedi Order. This was a proud day, but not one to forget what responsabilities being a Jedi Knight held. What did the future hold? Nobody really knew but one thing was sure, Oriadin was determined to help, serve and protect the galaxy.

Someone close by handed Oriadin a large glass of Ale to which he held up in the air and called out...

--To Peace!--

[Ki-Adi Kindo]

Kindo raised his glass in accordance with the others.

" To peace. "

It brought him great joy to see Oriadin, someone who had worked hard and learned much, get the promotion he deserved. It brought a broad grin to his face to see someone from his class of Padawans take that big step up. Oriadin had walked the long and difficult path all learners had to face, indeed he had earned the title of Knight.

" Well done friend. "

[Sejah Haversh]

Sejah lifted his glass of cider and called out, "To peace, and friendship, too. Congratulations, Oriadin!"

Oriadin had been one of the first people he met at the Order, and one his few real friends. They had practically gone through the same lessons at the same time, but a few off-world trips had put Sejah behind his friend. Still, it was a wonderful feeling to see his good buddy get Knighted, and he would have to do something special for him later.

[Salemn Lysce]

Salemn smiled, looking up from her place at the bar counter. Directing her telepathic message to Oriadin (for she remembered Sejah couldn't handle telepathy), she congratulated him. It was always an honor when a serving Padawan of the Order was promoted to Knighthood.

[Estelle Russard]

*Rests a hand on Oriadin's shoulder and smiles warmly at him*

"Well done Oriadin. I didn't think this would be much longer in coming. You deserve it. When you are done with that ale, I will buy you another."

[Helenias Evenstar]

"No, dont worry about buying - the bar tab for the Jedi has already been paid for"

I grinned wickedly.

"My Senate expense account is going to take a bashing tonight. But it will be worth it - you have all made us proud Oriadin and especially myself"

[Oriadin]

The Jedi Knight was overwhelmed. So much so it almost brought a tear to his eye. Sometimes people didnt realise how many friends they had until and event like this happend and they all seemed to be there at once. A huge smile from ear to ear came across Oriadins face. The kind words from everyone was very moving. The Jedi Order had given him so much since he'd come here with no memory. Oriadin turned to face each person that greeted him, one by one.

--Thankyou Kindo. Ah yes Sejah, of course. To friendship too!--

He raised his glass again, this time in Sejah's direction. Oriadin could hear a voice in his head and so he immediatly turned to face Salemn with a warm smile and nodded a thankyou. A hand was felt on his shoulder and the voice was instantly recognised. Estelle. A Jedit Knight Oriadin had the upmost respect for.
--Thankyou! -- He said before Helenias told them the drinks were already paid for.

--I'll let you owe me one--

He said with a wink. He then turned to face Helenias.

--Thankyou, I am only here today because of you and your training. This party should be for you also-- :)

[Lion El' Jonson]

Lion listened to Helenias' speech and raised his drink to that...his free drink!

"AMEN! Good job, Oriadin! I'll have to find you a present!"

[Helenias Evenstar]

"I've heard about your presents, Lion El'Jonson. Thank you, but unless I am very much mistaken, Oriadin has no wish for Gungan and Mon Calamari porn"

[Oriadin]

Oriadin let out a laugh at his Masters line.

--Thankyou anyway Lion. Thanks for coming to. Make sure you have plenty to drink, and have a good time!--

Lion let out a laugh...

"Are you suuure? I just got some new wookie pics...erm...I'm kidding!" he said at the look that crossed over Helenias' face.

"No, really...I'll buy you a membership to a really great website!"

Once again he saw the look that crossed Helnias' face, and said quietly:

"I'll shut up now..."

:: Lance paced into the bar after hearing about the promotion of Oriadin, he walked slowly up to him and greeted everyone else that was present, lightly bowed to him and spoke softly.::

"Congratualations Oriadin on a well deserved promotion and welcome to the Knight hood." Lance came backupstraight and turned around.

"May the force be with you, always'"

"Gungan and Mon Calamari porn?"

There was a story there, but Estelle believed it best she didnt hear about it all.

She would have to buy Oriadin a beer another time, and instead took advantage of Helenias generosity and ordered herself an orange juice...with the smallest hint of vodka. It was afterall, a celebration.


She took an empty seat and was content to watch on as Oriadins friends continued their congratulations to him. The Order was a wonderful place to be.

[Oriadin]

--And may the force be with YOU, Lance.--

He said smiling. The place was begining to fill up a bit more now although Oriadin wasnt entierly sure if it was because he had been promoted or because there were free drinks. They all congratulated him non the less.

Oriadin was passed a drink to which he took a few sips. He didnt really know what it was but it tasted good! He set it down on the table to talk to someone for a second and when he turned back, as if by magic, three glasses stood tall. Oriadin wasnt usually one for heavy drinking, but this night could be an exception. He took note of where Estelle went to sit. They had become reasonably good friends in recent weeks and he hoped he would get the chance to speak with her later on in the evening.
