I've been wanting to create a vampire character for quite some time, but haven't the time or the patience to do it. And with the appearance of this awesome board....I'd like to join.

I already have a basic background worked out, and I'd like to RP it to introduce my character and make this background solid. I start a few hundred years ago, and was a powerful vampire lord. The vampire populous, at the time, was very powerful, but were getting sloppy and throwing away the very anonimity that got them where they were. And thus the humans, outnumbering the vampires like they always did, became enraged and fought back with vampire-killing weapons. As they hunted some of the vampires down, my character, who still practiced anonimity, was betrayed by a human lover who was in his service for several years. The humans hunt him down in the street and kill him, or so they thought. In doing this, some human blood was shed, and it trickled down to the burnt corpse, and kept him alive but inanimated. As the humans were beginning to fully decimate and destroy the corpse, a group of vampires kill the humans and take the corpse. They bury it, thinking it dead. But that little bit of blood was sustained, keeping the corpse in stasis. He was then buried in the Shrine of the Damned. Several hundred years later, scientists find the seemingly mummified corpse and try to move it. In doing so, one person cuts themselves as the casket drops, and breaks. The blood hits the shrivelled corpse, and it is just enough to resusitate it. He then, after feeding on the scientists to fullfil his thirst, meets the modern vampires. He must be taught again by them, for much has changed since he last walked the earth, and the sleep has made his body and the powers within atrophy and rot away.

This is subject to change in accordance to your standards. If any of this is incorrect and should be changed, just say and I'll do. Thank you for your time.
