While their advertising power is weak, they do make very good soy sauce. I stock only Kikkoman, and if at all possible, use nothing else.

I would buy Kikkoman based just on that commercial, but by Japanese standards that's a pretty tame advertisement. Why would you ever be glad not to live in Japan? They have great cars, not to mention that everything there is either really fun or really funny. :rollin

WTF? O.o Ok.... And I thought some of the slapstick anime was weird. Their irl comedy is just weirder. Overly cheerful bunch.

For those who are wondering just exactly what they're saying....

*Nippon Q Q... *DEMO!* Ash-gala wonderful* /sings

Hehe, of course, there is the shockwave version of yatta, located here:

http://www.game-revolution.com/download/goodies/yattaanim.htm

that takes severe liberties with translation. *Bye-Q!*

Yog, thank you for the Yatta! This is the first time since exams startedthat I've laughed. Note about halfway through, after the guy that's pointing, they show this baby in the middle of nowhere. He's the only person in that room with a look of "WTF?" on his face. He's my hero. He sits like a li'l god on the throne of parental shoulders, a pillar of sanity in the midst of Yatta!'s whirlwind of adult foolery.

Oh, I got to experience Yatta at a better resolution at ConiFur, and saw the Ash-Gala version ther as well as a few other Flash videos. And Colin Mockery seemed to be in all of them somehow...

Anyhoo, the best video I saw that weekend was the Rammstein video done to Evangelion. I don't like Evan gelion, but the video was great, and 200 MB becacuse the video quality was phenomenal.

But Yatta is actually a joke band. Each of those guys had a decently sussessful career as a singer in Japan, and they were all sick of crap like that in JPop, so they decided to bad together, wear nothing but underoos with leaves on them, and make a band devoted to everything they hated about JPop to show how bad it was.

Sadly, it backfired, and became a SMASH hit, so they went on tour. Thing was, that was their only song, and so they sang it--ad nauseum--for TWO HOURS at each concert!

Knowing that jsut brings the Yatta video to a whole new level of bizzarre.

Since we already have a thread here for a flash animation, I'll just add to it instead of starting a new one. :)

Best if viewed in a square browser window. Quite funny, because it can be true. ;)
