To say the Director "walked into the bar" would not be a fair statement.

The petite Cizerack female quite literally strode into the Cat Scratch Fever like some striped Dominatrix, intent on weilding a whole world of hurt on any who dared to catch her fancy.

"Gjive me a "Manjgo Headrrrockerrr."

The Ciz barman quaked in his shoes behind the bar as the KAR head eyed him boldly.

"Make jit a double - and blend jit thjick and frrrossstjy."

She leaned one arm on the bar and scanned the bar, many eyes dropping, fearful to make any sort of contact and draw the attenion - no matter what kind of attention - of the dreaded Kei Ai Reei.

A cloud had passed over Taataani's day off. A cloud named Kajeela Tarruurri. It was no secret that she didn't enjoy the KAR director's company. Few did, due to her fearful reputation and sheer ruthlessness. Her ears lowered in a sign of anticipated stress, as Taa got the attention of the bartender, wanting some food to take her mind off of bad company.

The bar-tender served up the heavily vodka'd mango drink with extra flourish and a double slice of fruit on the rim.

The Director didnt even seem to see him as he gave her the drink, infact hadnt turned her head, but picked up the glass and in a very unfeminin gulp, downed the whole contents. Her eyes had locked onto the hapless creature ordering from the barman and trying vainly to be invisible to Kajeela in her seat. In that ridiculously outlandishly printed dress, how could Taataani imagine that ever possible.

Without relinquishing her gaze, Kajeela spoke to the bartender.

"Anotherrr, yjussst ljike that one, Rrrarrrtrrroaa."

Without waiting for her drink, the Director strode over to the table where the mature Ciz sat.

"Taatannji......how wonderrrful to sssee jyou agajin.."

Kajeela...jI trrrussst jyou'rrre well.

Taataani opted to bury her fangs into a squealing water vole rather than let her look of disdain show at having to deal with the KAR Director. It offered a bit of refuge, as she noisily swallowed down a mouthful of rodent offal.

Ssso what brrrjingsss jyou about thessse parrrtsss?

Kajeela took her time to reply...it was typical KAR tactic. Pauses could mean anything, and for the guilty or those with things to hide, it heightened the possibility of being exposed - incured doubt as to what the KAR might already know.. It also made people volunteer things just to break the awkward silence.

The Director's gaze was not hard, but it wasnt friendly either. Her second drink arrived and Kajeela smiled slightly.

"Actualljy, Taatannji....jI wasss gojing to assk jyou the sssame thjing..."

The insipid questioning of KAR agents was always one to breed headaches for Taataani, and as she swallowed down the remnants of the vole, her ears lowered.

No rrreassson. jI jussst neverrr fjigurrred jyou forrr a sssocjialjite, jI sssuppossse.

Taa burped, a normal bit of Cizerack culinary habit, not suprisingly...as she reached for another bit of live dinner.

Kajeela latched a steelike grip on Taa's wrist with one hand as the older Cizerack reached for another Vole.

"jYou do not ssshow enough rrressspect to the Keji Aji' Reeji, Taataanji."

The Director squeezed a little.

"jIt jisss easssjy to sssee wherrre Saa getsss herrr carrrelessssss habjitsss frrrom..."

Taa's eyes widened noticably

What would jyou have me do? jI am jussst a busssjinesssssswoman, and jI have no jinterrressst jin jyourrr affajirrrsss. Mjy companjy hasss alwajysss been lojyal to the Prrrjide, asss hasss mjy famjiljy.

Her bright eyes narrowed, squinting at the woman across from her.

"jYou thjink jI am new to sssuch ljip-ssserrrvice asss jyourrr famjiljy gjivesss me?"

Another mango headrocker arrived, and the server skittered away from the table as a roach does the light in instinctive self-preservation. His eyes averted from Taataani, shamefully fearful but glad its her in the chair with the Director, and not him.

Kajeela dropped Taa's wrist, and leaned back against her seat.

"jYourrr famjiljy is enjoyjing much prosssperrritjy, jyess?"

It was a sudden change in tact, again typical of KAR form. Unsettle and bewilder, insinuate and accuse. Pepper your prey with many and varied questions, not giving them time for clear and formulated answers.

She picked a Vole from Taa's plate, looking at the woman expectantly.

"Hmm?

Ket sat there, looking to the two from the shadowed corners in the back of the club. It was funny to him, how these Cizeracks behanved. Hell...when you think about it, it wasn't so odd. Cizeracks were a feline race, and Ket was a Lupine. To simplify...a dog in a room full of cats. Luckily, he was of the breed that started off human. His black robs covered his visage, the hood down far upon his brow, keeping him mostly cloaked in the shadows. He liked to watch them. And after all, he need only mention one name if they tried anything to him. Gods, how Ket loved playing such games. And so he sat, watching the two females talk...

Taa hadnt asnwered her by the time the vole was duly crunched and swallowed.

"....Well....?"

A scent moved in the air as a draft from an exiting patron moved with the opening and closing of the door.

Kajeela crinkled her nose and lifted her head to scan the room.

"What jisss that sssmell...?"
