It's different. Tracks I'm listening to will not be said as they are spoilers, but Howard Shore has come up with yet another highly listenable couple of tracks. Much grander in scope I think and somehow better than FOTR.

How days to go? Dec 26 cant get here fasy enough!

When does the soundtrack get released? Same time as the movie?

As good as the band is, the movie is awesome. :D Hence me quoting it ^_^; :lol

But at least you acknowledge that the band is great. That's enough for me. :)

Mark, is the song on the 'war looking' trailer on the CD and if so, can you tell me what that ones called without giving anything away? Ta.

Where'd you get the soundtrack? It doesn't come out till the 10th of December.

Ori, I believe that one is the theme from Requiem for a Dream, which is a masochistic hell-hole of a movie.

Wow! December 26th! It comes out on the 18th here.

I doubt the revamped version of "Winter Overture" will be in the soundtrack as I doubt it will feature in the movie. The track would draw too much attention to itself in the film and due to the fact that it is from Requiem for a Dread - a film I still have no yet seen but must! - I highly doubt it will feature in the movie or soundtrack.

It is not in the soundtrack. I know the listings already and it is not seemingly there.

Be surprised if it was.

What I have was recorded off radio - the soundtrack was played on a classical station and someone had the speed and presence o mind to record. So quality aint the best, but you get the idea what to expect. Two of the songs are being linked on www.theonering.net

They're going to be releasing the "Requiem for the Rings" remix, as well as a few others, on a forthcoming "Requiem Remixed" album.

Ooooh, so THAT's why it was taken down. Did you know that the six minute mix running around I think is the one your referring to, it was made by two guys in their garage, Ajax Productions, they call themselves? It's one of the most amazing backyard remixes ever. I dont know who made the one niute grab in the TTT trailer, but AJax did a stunning job on their remix.

I'm pretty sure the one minute section in the TTT trailer was from the end of that particular remix.

They don't sound as good as many of the FOTR tracks.

The TTT tracks? Or the remix?

I was just listening to the FOTR soundtrack today - it still reminds me a lot of the Phantom Menace soundtrack - especially the tracks with the chorus.

Considering they were radio rips, the quality aint there. I'll wait till I hear them in full quality.
