View Full Version : Breakfast! (open, Zeke's friends)

Zeke

Zeke stumbles down the stairs and into the Bar and Grill. He just spent the night upstairs in the rented rooms on the couch of Lissa Raine, a nice girl he'd met the night before. He looks around, bleary eyed, and spots the girl at the biggest table in the room, looking to attract some potential friends. Zeke walks to the bar and orders a stack of pancakes, eggs, sausage and milk, then sits down at her table.

"G'mornin..."

If he knew his friends, they'd be in for breakfast shortly.

Lissa smiled at the bleary eyed Zeke. "Good morning Zeke. Looks like you didnt sleep very well. "She had already ordered breakfast and was waiting for it.

"I enjoyed last night Zeke. It was ... um fun. " She grinned and blushed. "Quiet in here this morning. Do you think your friends will come in?" She tried to make conversation. She didnt know how he felt about her this morning. She hoped he still liked her.

Wei entered and his stomach growled. "So hungry!" His voice was raspy. Wei had hardly eaten any food last night for dinner and now he was starving.

"Food! Please!" he begged the bartender, sitting at one of the stools and collapsing onto the bar.

"Zeke! Sooooo hungry." Wei's stomach growled loud enough that even the cook in the back could hear it. The cook tried to speed his cooking along.

Zeke yawns widely.

"That's Wei...Wei! This is Lissa...met her last night here at the Bar and Grill..."

....uuuurrrwwwwww.....

Cirr clutched at his abdomen as he entered the B&G. He was famished! He was so hungry, he could eat a whole eopie! Well, perhaps not, but for Cirr, that wasn't too much of an exaggeration. He reached his wide hands into his pockets, pulling out string and some lint...but no money. He looked mournfully at his paltry catch, wishing he'd thought about breakfast before leaving the apartment. Saa let her big manservant sleep in, as she had work elsewhere. However, that left the Cizerack with a seriously empty stomach.

The smells of other peoples' breakfasts soon found Cirr's sensitive nose, and his mouth watered, as he was nearly lifted off his feet from the pleasant smells.

Zeke put his head down and gestured at Cirr, pointing him out to Lissa.

"That's Cirr. He's a Cizerack, and once he tried to jump me. He's cool though. Just don't offer him food or offer to buy him food."

Cirr's ears drooped in time with a frown on his face. Well...so much for asking them!

Riding high on Cirr's shoulder, Jhyx surveyed the interior of the bar and grill.

"Cirr, me laddy-buck, this place is ripe for the pickins. You leave everything to me, and we'll clear this place out!"

Leaning against the Cizerack's head, the little Isnik tapped idly at one of Cirr's drooping ears, and tail twitching just a bit, he clicked his tongue. Reaching over to pat a cheek, Jhyx reassured his giant companion.

"Not to worry."

Lissa smiled toward Zekes friend who appeared to be starving. She then looked at the one called Cirr from the corner of her eye. Leaning toward Zee she whispered. "What happens if you feed him?" She was utterly curious.

Lissa pushed her plate towards him and smiled over at Cirr. She had never been able to resist seeing what happened when someone told her not to.

Zeke

Zeke pushed the plate back.

"If you feed him, he will expect more. If you stop, he will attack you. Either way, you will be broke, be it physically or monetarily broke. Let Cirr fend for himself."

His order arrived and he covered his eggs with ketchup, then doused his pancakes with syrup.

"Now eat, its good."

Lissa grinned and shrugged. "You guys sure do have a lot of interesting characters around here." She dug into her hearty breakfast. "Do you think your friends will join us." Se asked after she had swallowed her bite.

Zeke

"Yeah, whenever they feel like it."

Wei whined and his stomach growled more. The bartender rushed the food to Wei. Wei's eyes lit up and he wolfed down the food without ceremony.

"Much better! Yeah!" Wei felt loads better and drained a glass of milk. "Zeke! Who is your friend?"

Zeke

"Lissa."

Wei was awful spastic today.

wurf wurf!

Suddenly...a very misshapen looking dog was at the table, scrambling to the top with flailing, stubby legs. It made an attempt to pick up a knife and fork, but soon remembered that it lacked opposable thumbs. It looked at Lissa and seemed to smile, watching her eat

Lissa raised her eyebrows at the strange little dog. She had never seen anything quit like him. She realized he must be hungry by the way he watched every move she made well she ate.

"She picked up the meat on her plate and handed it over. "There you go umm puppy."

Zeke

Zeke poked it with the handle end of his fork.

"Odd."

His own plate was clear, he had nothing for the dog to eat.

RARR...ARRR!!!

Roddy pounced, toothy jaws latching onto the piece of meat before Lissa could let it go. There he dangled in mid-air, hanging onto the meat she held by his teeth, his little body shaking left and right as he attempted to subdue his find. Finally, he fell to the table face-first with a squeak. He paused, flopped up on his haunches, and looked at the people with a gravy-soaked face.

Lissa's eyes had gone wide at the display by the small creature. She held the piece of meat a moment longer and then dropped it by him.

"That is the strangest thing I have ever seen. Do you have a lot of there things running around here." Lissa asked as she pulled her hand back. She didnt trust the creature. She took her finger tip and pushed her napkin at it to. Hoping it would wipe its gravy stained face.

"Wipe your face." She said softly her eyes still wide.

Roddy Two

Wolfing down the meat, it looked at Lissa...blinking a few times through its gravy mask. It looked to the napkin on the table, then rared back, and began to repeatedly bash its face onto the napkin and table. It removed the gravy, but it also knocked Roddy unconcious, the recoil sending him tottering off the table.

"That is the most interesting dog I have ever seen in my entire life."

Wei was most certainly amused. "So full of energy. But he knocked himself out."

Lissa Raine

Lissa peered over the table at the fallen creature. She had not realized it would knock itself out wiping it's mouth. She was almost afraid to touch it. Overcoming her fear she reached down and picked it up.

"I hope it's ok." She said with a worried tone as she checked it's face and head.

Zeke

"I have this odd feeling it will be."

Roddy Two

fpppp....

Though unconcious, the little abomination could nevertheless flatulate when jostled.

Zeke
Nov 13th, 2002, 11:16:42 PM
"Well," Zeke said as Roddy cut one, "There it is."

Clearly the little animal would be ok.

Lissa Raine
Nov 16th, 2002, 11:53:12 AM
Lissa held the creature away from her. A look of utter disgust on her face. "Well, that was different." She did not know what to do with the little passed out animal. "Zeke, should we take it to the med-bay?"

Zeke
Nov 16th, 2002, 04:55:22 PM
"Nah, he'll wake up and go back to being disgusting."

Zeke laid Roddy outside the door with the Force.

"That thing was pretty cool though."

Wei smiled. "I saw that dog with Mister Sanis once."

"He kept on saying it was not his. Since it's here, and I do not see Mr. Sanis anywhere, it really must not be his."
