I've got a few years worth of Batman comics. Starting with Knightfall up to about a year or two after Knightsend. I've got a few Superman and Spiderman comics. For Star Wars I've got first runs of Dark Empire I & II, Tales of the Jedi, Rogue Squadron, and Star Wars tales. The regular Star Wars series is pretty bare because I'm' just not that into their storylines or characters. Whenever they focus on movie characters I tend to pick it up for a few issues. I've got to get around to cataloging this stuff.

Unfortunately my brother decimated my comics. I got rid of alot of the stuff I didn't want to hold on to, but I have some left.

Wolverine 1-25
Punisher War Journal 1-10
Spawn 1-4
X-Men (the new series by Jim Lee)
Spider Man (The McFarlane series) 1-?? (I forget)
Some select #0's and #1's.

I've got a pretty decent sized comic collection, about 2500 total books, working on a full run of Uncanny X-Men and missing about 70 for the full run(1-415).

Holy crap, that's an impressive collection. Do you intend to get those old, hard to find issues?

jjwr

I've already got X-Men 1-5 and about 25 of the first 30 so I'm most of the way there, just gotta get a lot of the filler issues. I need about 40 books from 1-100, 40 from 100-200 and 15 from 200-415 so I'm really almost there already, just gotta pick off those older ones a few at a time.

Aren't those first issues worth in the thousands?

Well they would be if they were in good condition :)

I collect but I'm also a reader so I went for reader copies of most of my early issues. My X-Men #1 is rather soiled, has a few holes in the front cover, stuff like that. Its still worth about $150 but nowhere near what a copy in decent shape would go for.

That's still very impressive!

I used to collect X-men comics, the ones with the "blue" team (Not Uncanny X-Men, just plain ole X-men) and then I collected Generation X ( I had most of them, including #1). Don't have any of them now, but I do collect Japanese comics. I just wish I could find a place here that sold the unflopped versions. :(

JMK

Unflopped????? :huh

Japanese comics are originally printed right to left. When they bring them over here, they "flop" them so that the art is backwards, but so it can be read from left to right. I prefer the english right to left "unflopped" ones, since the art isn't skewed, it's in it's original, intended form :)

No problem. The net is a great place to find Doujinshi or fan drawn comics. Too bad most are Yaoi (guy-guy relationships). :x

I used to collect Green Lantern, up until ussue 80-something. By that time, Ron Marz had gotten his hands on the writing of it and crapped the heck out of it. I mean, Hal rocked, and Kyle, well, wasn't as good. But the main reason was that I met Ron in real life and he was a total jerk.

Now I collect Usagi Yojimbo, the best independantly made comic out there. Of course Dark Horse publishes it, but Stan Sakai writes, pencils, inks, and letters it. All they do is publish it. He's been doing it for, um, sixteen years now. Someday I wish I could have fully done over 3000 pages of comic all by myself...

diddo..

ehem anyway back onto the comics. I started collecting them when i was like 5 or 6 couldnt read yet but i liked the pictures..sadly being a kid a didnt keep them all in mint condition and my collection kind of picks up and drops off randomly between marvel titles. I used to get those little hobby start off kits that came with like 20 comics several marvel titles with like 4 or 5 issues in a box. Got em at Costco :p

Anyway i still collect comics but not X-men since the adamantium got ripped out of wolverine then put back, then he turned into a beast type thing and they just fuggled the title severly.
