I am currently watching Hamlet for English IV, the Mel Gibson version that is. And there is this one picture of him in the beginning of him hooded and with a cloak on, anyone know where I can find images of him in Hamlet. I have done a lengthy Google search and got nothing. Perhaps someone has the DVD and is willing to give snap shots?

Gibson's Hamlet isn't out on DVD (or so says IMDB.com and they tend to keep up with this sort of thing.)

Yes he is. Finished watching it today in class, was rather awesome.

10 years. But not really the most recent. That's if you count The Lion King as a version.

But Lion King is basically same plot as Hamlet.

I really don't count that as a Hamlet remake sorry.

:lol The Lion King is the same plot as Hamlet?

Cladius = Scar
Simba = Hamlet
Mufasa = Old Hamlet
Sarabi = ... Mrs Hamlet, I forget her name >_<

... actually it does have the same plot o_O

To my knowledge the timeline of the Hamlet movies from oldest to youngest is:

Olivier (which was good)
Gibson (1992?)
Branaugh (1996) (my personal favorite)
Hawke (2001)

I know there are more out there but those are the ones I remember.

Brian Blesséd was so good as Old Hamlet in Brannagh's version :D
