IGN has their review of the extended edition DVD up. The whole article is rather long, but it gives a lot of detail on the additional footage and the extras. The sheer amount of material on the extras discs is just mind boggling. I'll probably watch it all when I get it, being the Tolkien geek that I am, but I can see how it would be way too much info for the average fan.

Anyway... the film review itself is a good read if you want to know exactly what has been added in this new cut. Plenty of spoilers, so consider yourselves warned.

IGN has some of the most annoying advertisements ever created. :x Thanks for the link, though... interesting reading. I'm absolutely dying to see The Two Towers.

It does look really good - I don't know if I'll buy it. A buddy of mine is going to get it - maybe I'll have a look-see to see if I want to shell out the $$$ to get it.

I'm definetly buying. November 12 is going to be an expensive day for me. AotC, LOTR, Pearl Jam's new album and my friend's birthday. :)

I can pace myself. EP2 on the 11th, LOTR on the 12th :)



To be honest, I cant think of anything coming out on the top of my head Im that bothered about for a while after. Die Another Day, Bourne Identity DVD, Daredevil (Same release as the US, good good:))..................slow period.

Yeah, there aren't many other movies out there that I think I need on DVD aside from AotC and FotR. Bourne Identity may be one of them, of course but after that I'm not sure, maybe Minority Report as well.

DVDs I'm looking forward to are AotC, FotR, Road to Perdition, Minority Report and maybe Signs.

Minority Report hangs on the extras. It was great, but Im unsure of rewatchability.

FOTR and AOTC are definitely "must have" DVD's for me. Those two days in november will be expensive, but yet, so worth it :)
