Surpanakha

It was a quiet, still night. All was silent; not even the crickets chirped. No nocturnal creature stirred, no leaves rustled ... not even the tawny owl, perched on its usual ledge in the old oak tree, hooted. It was as though time itself had stopped to allow the demon and her companion, one Dae Jinn, to noiselessly enter the small village. Such sweet dreams the children would have tonight!

Climbing deftly from one branch to another, Surpanakha looked down at her fellow Servant of Chaos.

"The hunt begins."

Dae Jinn
Oct 19th, 2002, 05:59:50 PM
Dae looked up at her fellow disciple with a small grin. She had not been on a proper hunt with her fellow disciple since they had been sent to hunt down their Masters' sister.
She looked down at the sleeply little village, picturing all of it's residents tucked snuggly in their beds and smirked.
"Let's get going then..."
She quicken her pace, moving silently down a dark deserted street.

The silence was shattered, as an animal squawked and cawed loudly as it flew, flustered, past Dae and Surpanakha. A sort of hissing could then be heard, followed by a grumble, and then advancing foot steps, faster than Dae’s. The figure caught up on their flank and moved with them.

“Thanks for waiting for me!” came an attempted whisper, which ended up being more of a shout.

Arriana held her twin saber firmly in one hand as she watched her sisters, then looked on at the village up ahead.

Startled by Arriana's sudden - and painfully loud - entrance, the demon lost her balance and slipped onto a lower bough, where she quickly regained her footing. She wrapped her legs around the branch, and, releasing her hands from their grip on the trunk arched backwards so that she was hanging upside down.

Suri scowled. "Shut the frell up!" she growled, snapping off a a rather hefty-looking twig and bonking it across the loud-mouthed redhead's skull.

Dae smirked.
"Well....if you could keep up in the first place....And please..be a bit more quiet...You'll wake the baby..."

She sank down to her knees and took a deep breath, then smiled to herself. She pointed to a dark house to the left of them.
"Lets start there...I smell something good in it...."

She let out a hiss at Suri and shot at glare up as she regained her footing. Looking to Dae, she brushed herself down and began to walk towards the house that her ‘sister’ had pointed towards. Arri too could sense the people inside of it, but wasn’t going to be the first one to break out on the offence. Suri and Dae had planned this, therefore they would lead.

Surpanakha
Oct 23rd, 2002, 09:09:49 AM
Arriana was being hesitant (or deceptively clever) by refusing to attack first, just as she had done during their hunt for Dalethria. The demon at that time was the first to begin the assault. But trees were one thing; houses were an altogether different matter, and Surpanakha would likely prove herself as cumbersome as Arri if she attempted to force an entry.

No; it would be much more amusing to watch Arriana make a right fool of herself.

Surpanakha sighed exaggeratedly. "Must I do everything myself?" She looked down at Arriana, who seemed to have become the demon's scapegoat. "Well? What are you waiting for?"

Dae Jinn
Oct 23rd, 2002, 09:18:53 AM
She sighed, rolled her eyes and reached for her shoulder. She tore her shirt, ripping the shelve nearly off, tossing her cloak and belt (with her saber and katana) onto the ground beside the steps. Dae leaned down, grabbing some dirt and smearing it on her face. Lastly she dug her nails across her own cheek, leaving four long gashes. She blinked, letting tears well in her eyes and grinned.
"Now. Stay out of sight, I'll get us in..."
She walked to the door, and banged on it quickly, she whimpered and moaned loudly.
"Help me! Please! Someone!!!"

The door was answered by a weary looking man, and Dae threw herself weeping into his arms. He looked down at her surprised.
She whispered softly into his chest.
"Please,,,help me..."
The man took her inside, neglecting to close the door in his rush to get the "injured" Dae inside.

Head tilting to the side, she stuck her tongue out at the demonling before carrying on up after Dae. Once getting to the doorstep, she leant over the threshold carefully to check if anyone was there – thankfully Dae had already lead the man of the house away from the porch in such a rush to help her that it seemed most of the people in the house hadn’t noticed her arrival – either that or they too had followed the ‘wounded’.

Taking one silent step in to make sure all was well, she picked up pace instantly to follow to where Dae was, assuming Suri would follow. Once in the room her fellow Warrior was, she leant against the doorway, blocking any exit or entrance, and remained silent; eager to see if Dae was going to put on a show or something get straight to the point.

Surpanakha
Oct 23rd, 2002, 10:09:08 AM
She scoffed and mentally berated Dae for having ruined her fun. However, the Warrior had accomplished their first chore without rousing the slightest suspicion, so she couldn't complain much. Instead she followed silently behind Arriana, pulling gross faces, until the line of trees ended and she had to resort to walking on foot. Though crawling was more like it.

As soon as she had stepped inside the residence and into the main living room, Suri pounced upward lightly and clung tightly to the lights, which was in the form of a small chandelier. She looked around her, sniffing the air, before pressing her palms flat against the surface. The soles of her feet moved in a similar fashion and soon she was 'crouched' on the ceiling on all fours.

Surpanakha padded across the room on her hands and feet in this way, headed over to a doorway from where she could smell the distinct stench of the young and helpless.

Dae had the mans' back to Arri, so she couldn't see the saiya-jinns' hand slip around the mans' throat and begin to choke the life out of him. He made a gurgle and sank to his knees slowly. Dae placed her arms around his head and wrenched it at an unnatural angle. He fell to the floor with a thud.
Dae stepped over his body and went outside, gathering her things. She smiled sweetly at Arri when she returned.
"Where did dear old Suri go? Up to play with the children?"

A shadow suddenly creeps over Surpanakha, Daetana Jinn, and Arriana Rezner. A moment later, a huge black panther stops in front of them, its lips open in a silent snarl.

Before any of them could attack the panther, its form starts to shimmer and grow taller, more human in form. After a few moments, the shimmering stops and standing in the panthers place is none other than the 4th and last Sister of Chaos, Empress Dark Emerald Jade, holding her black onyx hilt which houses two black blades that she herself had constructed.

Stepping closer to them, she grins evily.

"Hunting, are we, dear Sisters? Mind if I join you?"

Arri giggled quietly as she watched the man on the floor. Spinning on the toe of her boot to face Dae as she returned, she gave a quick nod.

“Somewhere upstairs.”

grrrrrrrr…

The Sith looked to the side slowly and saw a panther. Both eyes widened, and continued to do so as the beast shifted to form the figure of her 3rd sister, Jade.

“Uh…. Sure.”

Looking to Dae, she pulled a confused face then headed out of the room to explore.

Across the corridor... Up the stairs... Past the study. The entire distance was, of course, traveled over the walls and ceiling, so the nanny was still fast asleep when Surpanakha 'stepped' over the upper edge of the door and into the baby's room. The child-minder was sitting next to the cot, an open book on her lap. A brief search inside her cloak, followed by a quicker aim, and the stark white pages were drenched in blood.

The demon hopped to the floor beside the cradle and pulled out the knife from between the woman's eyes. She looked longingly at the human flesh, still warm. But no, she was here for other reasons. Leaning over the low railings, Suri traced her nail gently down the infant's cheek. It stirred, then quietly babbled back to sleep.

"Hello, my little pretty."

She could feel the Daemun, Jade, within the premises. A rather attractive female, she was, even for all her 30,000 years on this world. Deliciously evil, too. Surpanakha smiled crookedly: this would be a night to remember.

Dae Jinn
Oct 26th, 2002, 07:59:44 PM
Dae walked slowly up the stairs, following Suri's scent. She stepped into the room and stood behind her, gazing down at the baby....It had only been a few weeks since she herself had lost her baby. She sighed heavily and gave Suri a look.
"Are you going to kill it...?"

Oct 27th, 2002, 09:49:25 PM
Unexpectedly, Kindo came out of sleep. Rising up from his small bed, he took a deep breath and looked around. It appeared that he had awaken for no reason, so he simply layed back down and tryed to get more essential rest. He was residing within the small community for a few days because he had been assigned to patrol that town and a few neighboring others.

Then it hit him like a bullet; he seldom woke up without there being a reasonable excuse. Something wasn't adding up. Upon realizing the bewildering situation, he rubbed his blurry eyes and gradually climbed out of his compact bunk. His night attire included a white unbuttoned shirt, casual black pants, and his bare feet.

All of a sudden, something struck him once again. It felt has if an event of some sort was transpiring, but the impression was uncertain. Nevertheless, he reached for his lightsaber hilt and silently trotted over towards the cabin's entrance, preparing to investigate further outdoors. He had no doubt it was the Force that was alarming him.

::Azhure had woken up hours earlier to screams...but they had seemed so real. For some unknown reason she had packed her bags and gotten onto her ship, following the voices. Perhaps it was a vision of the future but she wasnt sure, what was it? Wierd dreams had been coming to her lately and this time she called out of curiosity and the feeling this wasnt a dream to discard......

As she approached the planet and landed the ship, she looked out onto the town through the window and pressed the lever to open the sliding door. getting out and hearing a crunch of the rocky ground she looked around at the seemingly quiet town. A small village town with no real happenings. Just like any small town...::

It seems peaceful enough. Maybe it was just a bad dream....

::It probably was, she was no dreamer or future teller. Azhure shook her head, a trip for nothing. Some dream getting to her senses. Walking back to the ship she heard a noise and looked around.::

Paraniod, your becoming paranoid... but I've always trusted my senses...It's just a dream.

OOC: thought I couldnt leave one jedi against four, might offer a hand :)

Nemesis
Oct 28th, 2002, 10:42:33 PM
Loosely hanging blaster pistols beat rhythmically at the assassin's sides, as he paced down the vacant streets. A thick coal veil covered every square inch of terrain, save a handful of meager lamps lining the main road. Few would venture out of doors at such an unholy hour, which would have held true for this lone pedestrian if it were not for an acute case of insomnia.

Nemesis had not intended to remain in the obscure village for any lengthy period. This township had been but a mere dot on the map to a close confidant, 50 miles east. However, The Raven's engine failure forced a landing, just short of his destination.

Anticipation had bested him, and sleep was truly an impossible dream. The dark clad soldier hoped to alleviate some strain with a methodical midnight walk. All seemed quiet.

Hunk
Oct 29th, 2002, 06:11:06 PM
The only thing he saw was Kindo's back as he stalked out the front door.

They were on the planet on a humanitarian mission, aiding a series of small villages that had been recently almost destroyed by a typhoon. In addition, some of the older jedi masters had felt a stirring from the area--force sensitive young ones that had to be identified so they might be properly trained by the jedi.

He sat up slowly, his back sore from the sparse, uncomfortable matress. WHere was that fool going at this time of night? If he was like Hunk, he was exhausted from the long days of work that had kept them busy the past few weeks. Then he felt it, the unmistakable feel of the dark side. There were Sith near.

Amazing, he thought as he quickly dressed, whenever a sith struck, there always seemed to be a jedi nearby to stop them.

The eternal dance continued.

She’d followed Dae upstairs, but at the sight of what Suri was doing decided against staying and roamed into some of the other area’s of the house. First an uninhabited bed room, which permitted her a momentary glance out into the surrounding village. She leant against the window sill and squinted out into the night before shuffling back downstairs. Apparently, there had been another adult in the house, who had heard the carnage and skulked away into the kitchen.

“P-please don’t kill me…”

Arriana, with double-saber still in hand, welled with confidence as her boots made a resonate click against the tiles in the room. She strode towards the cowering woman, and rolled her head back to sneer down her nose at the pitiful figure. Raising the hilt and two ignited crimson beams, she lowered the weapon ever so slowly towards the woman - it was rare that she got the chance to indulge in such simple things, and thus she wanted this to last as long as possible.

Surpanakha
Oct 30th, 2002, 12:17:01 PM
"Why kill it, when it could become so much more?"

Her voice was barely above a whisper and she eyed Dae with a mischievous glint in her dark eyes. It was by no means a pleasant sight, with her foul breath and decaying teeth, but the demon was without care. She carefully unsheathed another blade, holding it delicately as though it were some fragile ornament. It was a sorcerer's dagger, unique in innumerable ways, and had the capacity to both penetrate the strongest of metals or pierce the wing of a fly, ever-so-slightly.

"A Child of Chaos... yessss... sculpted to serve only disorder..."

Raising the subtle blade over the sides of the cot, Surpanakha slowly carved the symbol of Chaos into the infant's forehead. He did not wake up, and where there should've been blood, there was only a lackluster black glow. The child was young, perhaps not older than a few weeks old, and would not remember its parents. Suri frowned and looked up at Dae, struck by a new thought.

"It will need a mother."

Dae Jinn
Oct 30th, 2002, 09:35:50 PM
She frowned sadly."Mine own just died...I don't want it...."
Was all she could say. She watched as Suri had performed some kind of ritual on the child. Sighing she reached into the crib, lifting the baby and craddling him gently in her arms. She looked at the baby then at the demon.
"We can worry about that later, we should get going, I can smell goodness, far away, but coming nearer."

Jade Doment
Oct 30th, 2002, 09:46:42 PM
Jadey looks at the baby and smiles, one of motherly kindness towards this infant that Suri holds.

She then frowns and narrows her eyes, as if sensing something.

"We must go. I sense a fight not far from here."

With that, she takes off in the direction in which Arri is about to fight.

(Sorry for the delay, but I didnt think SWF was up and running yet)

Ki-Adi Kindo
Oct 30th, 2002, 09:58:54 PM
The evening outdoors was dim, frigid, and silent, and Kindo was out in it. Though he was exhausted and cold, he couden't bring himself to stop looking around.

An agonizing feeling endured within Ki, reassuring him of his Force presumptions. Applying his Force far sight, something he hadn't done often, an obscure vision of an evil woman wielding a crimson lightsaber appeared within his mind, confusing and scaring him both. It seemed has if the images were going to remain blurry, until a loud shriek was heard from an adjacent residence.

Without any delay, the Jedi Knight immediatly sprinted towards that exact structure, kicking the door wide open. With a swift extention of his hand, he emmited a powerful Force wave at Rezner, throwing her backwards. He wasted no time.

Nemesis
Oct 30th, 2002, 10:41:01 PM
A horrifying cry, then a terrible crash pierced the assassin's ear. Twin bone colored pupils scanned the inky recesses of night until they fell upon the outbursts' origin.

Nemesis' gloved hands slid along the inner portion of a flowing black cloak, un-holstering both blasters. Each gun barrel glistened in the pale lamp light, taking their place at his sides. The index fingers rested heavily upon dual triggers.

His pace quickened. Though unsure of what problems lie within' there was little doubt that evil had crept into this humble village.

Suddenly he halted. The hunter's gaze rose to a tiny second story window, as a pair of silhouettes moved against drawn curtains.

During the time it had taken Kindo to sprint from elsewhere in the village to the house she’d cleaved the head from the shoulders of her victim and preceded it to nudge it with one foot until it rolled about, leaving a red smear behind it. She was just turning to leave the room when a build up of pressure struck her and smacked her hard against the cabinet which the headless body lay against. With a breath laugh, she looked into the self-righteous eyes of what could only be a Jedi.

“Well hello to you too…”

Arriana flashed a childish smile as a distraction and in an instant called what looked like a glass serving platter from the bench beside her, pushing it and a kitchen knife in the direction of her assailant, the knife aimed to impale in his upper leg whilst the plate rose up and came down towards his head. With this is something to keep him occupied, she regained her posture and brought her saber up ready for combat or defense.

Ki-Adi Kindo
Nov 1st, 2002, 11:47:20 AM
With Force-enhanced speed, Kindo stepped sideways, allowing the impending knife to imbed itself in the wall. With the oncoming dish still aimed for his head, he immediately bent backwards, avoiding the glass projectile.

It was then when he noticed a body resting upon the floor, displaying no sign of life. Though sorrow for the victim swelled up within him, he wouden’t react in anger. He had learned from his own experiences that reacting in aggression woulden't form any solution. Only by keeping his focus and maintaining his peace would the problem be solved, even though it was hard most times.

SNAP-HISS!

Instantaneously, a saffron beam shot forth from the steel hilt, which Ki had elevated before his chest. He silently begun walking onward, his eyes locked upon Rezner.

It didn't take long to pinpoint the source of the disturbance. Seeing the front door kicked in, he decided to circle around and enter through the back.

Jadey didnt have to be told twice. With the most even grin Jadey has ever shown, she steps into the shadows and merges with them, shadowwalking.

After a few moments, she emerges from the shadows behind Hunk and holds her hand out to him, Force blasting him into a wall just in front of him.

Sneering down at him where he lays, she can tell hes Jedi. He reeks of the Lightside.

"Going somewhere, are we?"

Nemesis
Nov 1st, 2002, 10:14:37 PM
Shattered glass, heavy falls, and a host of various sounds radiated from the modest dwelling. Yet, amid this clamor the assassin noted a distinct and all to familiar sound: the hiss of lightsabers.

"Sith..." His muffled tone befitting the atmosphere.

Nemesis' watch passed from the second floor to the first, gazing at the brilliant colors of drawn energy weapons. Brief glimpses of movement, via side windows, and audible foot steps confirmed the presence of more than just the dark siders .

"...and Jedi."

It appeared the particular struggle was well in hand, being that the number of all combatants we evenly matched. However, the shadows above remained relatively unmoved. The hunter chose to bypass the battle below and investigate the goings on upstairs.

His cumbersome black cloak fell to the ground, allowing for freer movement which may prove necessary. After Deftly scaling a tree adjacent to the home in question, he moved out onto a branch jutting toward the upper level. Crude hinges on a nearby window were easily undone permitting an undetected entrance to the upper corridors.

Arriana simply smiled. She could feel the trouble inside of him, the subtle fury. As he walked on towards her, she formulated quickly a strategy in her mind. Unfortunately being inside, this left her at some disadvantages. Primarily her training with Sorsha had been out in the woods in Irentios, in a pack with the others, yet now it seemed they were nowhere to be and thus the four of them working as a team could not function. Resorting to other methods, she decided to make the first move quickly.

Pushing a palm against the counter behind her, she drove one heel against the ground and raised her other leg against the wall to her right. She grit her teeth and pushed upwards, propelling herself up for a momentary stint in the air; enough for her to hook a kick out towards Kindo, coming down on his chest with both the heel of her boot and her saber.

Ki-Adi Kindo

Kindo elevated his saber to clash with Rezner's, the impact of the blades creating a clamerous scream heard all throughout the household.

With one swift motion, he clutched the darksider's leg. Without any extention of his arm, he discharged a potent Force blow. The impulsive impact was enough to throw the girl a fair distance, but because he had grasped hold of her leg, she fell straight backwards and collided with the floor with tremendous intensity.

Once kicking back up upon his feet, Ki regained his defensive poise, with saber held slantwise out towards his front.

The attack came from nowhere, sending Hunk crashing into the wall. Large pieces of plaster and wood came falling down on him as he slumped to the ground, momentarily stunned. Slowly, he got to his feet again and reached up to his bloodied face to gingerly touch his nose.

Ouch, that was broken, for sure.

Turning aroung, he brushed the debri and dust from the yellow-brown shirt that covered his upper body. He flexed his muscles a little, cracked his neck, and...smiled.

"Where I'm going is my own business, miss. Now please don't make me fight you. You may be something nice to look at, but you're as evil as they come, I'd wager. And I just hate to ruin a pretty face."

Well, it just so happens that if you are going to help the other Jedi fight the other Sith, that happens to be MY business as well. Meaning I am going to have to stop you."

Jadey reaches her left hand behind her and unclips her black onyx hilt from her belt loop. Pressing a button, one black blade comes out with a snap-hiss. Right now, one blade is all she needs, even though the hilt is double bladed, and one she had constructed herself.

"Lets see if you can get close enough to ruin such a pretty face, shall we?"

Surpanakha ogled at Dae for a good few minutes while the stench of the Light Siders grew increasingly concentrated. She scrunched up her face, then hurried after her Sister as she flitted through the doorway and into the lobby. Arriana and Jade were tending to their other guests, which granted the demon some time to escape with the child, still cradled within Dae's arms.

Her attention diverted to a window by the side of the corridor. She barked at Dae, instructing her to leave the house with the infant kept protected, and glared into the darkness.

"What do you want?!" she growled at the dark figure pulling himself up onto the sill. Suri crawled through the shadows and, when directly opposite Nemesis, pounced, digging her claws into the material covering his chest and tearing at it wildly.

Dae held the babe close to her, sneaking quietly downstairs, heading for the front door. She paused as she saw the large Jedi walk into the house. Ducking into a room, she looked around. It appeared to be another bed-room, more of a guest room, with a small bed, dresser and little else in the way of furnishings. And a window. She set the baby on the bed gently and opened the window. Hopefully she'd be out and gone by the time the Jedi looked in here.....

Lion unleashed a series of powerful slashes and cuts towards the other, concerned because she had a second saber dangling from her belt.

One door was kicked open and it sounded like a hell of a racket in the house, There was no mistaking where the trouble was.

She saw a woman climbing out the window and sneaking silently, using her past assasin skills she looked up at the woman with her saber ignited and smiled slowly. Winking at the woman as if she believed she was sneaking out to meet a forbidden lover a teasing quality touched her voice. No sooner had the demon begun her ill-fated assault when she found herself viciously torn from the assassin's chest and slammed against an adjacent wall. With this done, Nemesis released his vice grip on the back of Surpanakha's neck.

Pale moon light seeping in through the open window glinted against a drawn blade. The hunter kept his sword close to the side, yet angled toward the brim of his boot. His weapon lie in wait for any sudden movements, but steady enough to prevent its capture or loss.

Bone colored slits narrowed on the dark sider, followed by the foreboding depth of a malicious voice.

Lion flew backwards against a wall, cracking his head against it. Sparks flew through his vision, monetarily blackening his vision. Another heavy punch from the woman threw him back into the hard brick wall, this time actually cracking through it. In a pile of cascading dust, Lion was thrown to the ground, slamming against the hard ground. His saber flicked off and went spiraling away. From above, many more bricks fell down, landing on his stomach, ribs, and throat. He felt a wet snap, and he knew that his ribs were broken.

And then, it happened...

Lion screamed as untold pain swept over his body. Memories flashed through his mind, the destruction of his home planet, the death of his friends at the hands of Stormtroopers....

...Lion went into a battle-frenzy, his eyes flashing an evil red as he flipped to his feet, all attempts at control forgotten as he called his saber to his hand and reignited it with a SNAP-HISS...

It had finally happpened...The Black Rage had returned...The genetic defect buried within Lion's people had finally manifested itself, and it couldn't have come at a worse time...

He threw out a massive force blast that should have been beyond his normal abilities before charging straight towards the woman, his broken bones and internal damage forgotten as he hurled himself towards this pathetic being, a savage War-cry echoing from his throat...

And yet still, he still had those Blood red eyes, and he smiled a dark, evil smile as he lifted the blue-blade of his saber over his head...

(ooc: I need to get Lion really injured, as this will advance his character...If you can find the time, would anybody like to roast a Jedi into a mass of seared flesh?)

On the floor, she took advantage of her position and lashed out a kick against Kindo’s shins. The move allowed her time to regain her breath and cleanly knocked the unprepared Jedi off of his feet. As he tumbled forward, trying to catch his balance, she pushed one beam of her double-saber up towards his chest, aiming to impale the falling Jedi straight through the center of his rib-cage.

While natural gravity drew him closer to the crimson blade, he managed to apply the momentum of his fall into a rapid right spin, allowing the beam to leave a painful streak across the left side of his ribcage.

Coming down on his knees, he quickly leaned upward and with a swift chop, struck Rezner's back, causing her to drop her saber.

Jadey stands in a defensive mode, breathing heavily, seeing the change in this man. If he wanted a fight this badly, shes gonna give him one.

She watches his blade raise above his head, then with a cry of her own, she spins her double black blades around in a blur, then swings them to her left side, slashing at his now unprotected stomach. Then with another blur, she swings them to her right, slashing his chest next.

Jadey smirks at this attack and ducks, bending over, letting him trip over her and go flying over back. Once hes on the floor, she stands over him.

Muttering a few indistinct words, lightning comes down and shocks Lion badly enough to kill him, but not yet. She was having too much fun to end this so soon.

The lightning stops and she crouches down over him, one black blade to his throat.

"Had enough?" she asks.

(OOC: Hmmmmm, fry him could mean so many ways of doing damage. Does my lightning attack work? If not, I can edit once I think of how. But then, does anything go in this fight?)

(ooc: Yup...make him into a mass of smashed bone and seared flesh...he'll heal one day...:D)

Lion was in agony. Every inch of his skin felt as if it were on fire, yet he took a perverse pleasure in the pain. He grinned, and even with the woman's blade at his throat, he called his saber to him, igniting it as it flew towards the female...if she didn't jump out of the way, he'd have her blood...

"I'm not going to down to some mortal that easily" he growled, staring into the woman's eyes with his own as they flashed red.

Jadey holds out her hand and prepares to shoot a fireball at the saber flying towards then, but then makes a sudden snap decision.

Moving her saber aside, Jadey swings her body to her left side just as the saber comes whizzing past. Looking down at him, she snarls angrily at being called MORTAL.

"Mortal? Is THAT what you think I am? Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am no MORTAL. I am a demon who chooses to look human, with Force powers I have yet begun to play with."

Jadey uses the Darkside and lifts Lion off the floor, then with an angry cry, quickly charges up an energy ball and slams it into his chest hard, sending him crashing through the wall and into another room.

Jadey hits the ground hard, but stands up quickly. She has had enough and thinks its time this little game of theirs has ended.

Raising one hand, she uses lighting to zap Lion again, but also adds a little fire to the mix, REALLY cooking him now.

As she stands over him, watching his skin bubble and melt, she cant help but wonder about the pain this man must be feeling, with fuels her more.

After a few moments, the onslaught stops, leaving him a smoking ruins.

Smiling gently she nodded, playing the game for a while but she knew where her weapons were and would use them if neccessary. Looking for all the world like a typical jedi in the way she moved and a warm kind face on her she stretched out her arms, her muscles ready to react at any time.::

Your a sith alright, not the mothering kind I'd expect.

::Running after her she went through an ally that smelt like too many things happened in this area. There were three people in it and one looked on in surprise, while the other two seemed to have lost spirit and didnt seem to care. Not stopping to say anything she continued along the streets, the houses still quiet and doors locked as if they did not want any part of what was happening, the noise told enough. until she saw the sith go towards the ship. Running as fast as she could she got close to the sith, but did not say anything. Azhure kept running, using her assasin skills to go through short cuts or use object to thrust her forward in the area. She was next to Dae Jinn then, she could feel her own heart beating but she could not rest now. A child was at stake. Her saber was in her hand, not yet ignited but, she used the metal end to hit it full force onto the sith's knee cap, then stomach, being careful of the child and hard enough to knock the wind out of the sith. With the momentum she ignited her saber and pointing it towards the sith's neck. The sith would have to fight. There was nobody around anymore, no one to interrupt the battle. There was only the sith and jedi, and the child would go with the jedi.
Smiling she looked at the child and at the sith. Her smile faded leaving only watchful eyes as she looked at her componant.::

Draw your weapon and show me what you can do, that child isnt going anywhere further with you. The way I see it is you wont hand the child over so there be no other alternative unless you can suggest one where I have the child.

It felt like it was over. Every inch of his body...every part of it screamed in agony as he was lifted into the air by the lightning and thrown backwards into a wall again.

He cried out for the pain to stop, and he felt his skin crackling as if it was being lit on fire. He cried out again as the blood vessels in his eye burst. He could still see out of it, but it seemed as if it were glassed over with red. He tried to raise his neck to look at his tormentor but could barely move, such was the pain that wracked his body. His desire to kill went out. The red glow extinguished from his eye, as he laid down, just wanting it to end...to cease...

And suddenly, it was over. The daemon's attack had stopped, and Lion was left, lying on the ground. He couldn't remember why he was in such pain, why he felt as if he wasbeing burned...but he managed to turn his head to the side and almost blacked out at what he saw.

The skin on his arms was completely charred, and so were his legs and, probably, he imagined, his face was too. He tried to lick his dry, cracked lips, but felt nothing but singed skin there...he tasted blood.

He knew that he had to survive....but he couldn't even move. His jaw was broken, and any sound he made brought pain to his already weakened body. He could feel his cracked ribs, and a jagged piece of bone had burst through the fabric of Lion's black shorts...he heard a faint crackle of static and realised that his comlink still worked...now, if only he had someone to transmit to...

And then, as another burst of pain stabbed into his forehead, he remembered...his ship's codes...

His agonizer seemed to be brooding over him, taking pleasure in the pain that she had caused in Lion. Although he was weak, it seemed as if a fire had been lit inside him, and he was driven by the desire to return to his friends...he had to survive....

The smell of burnt flesh filled the air, and as Lion raised one of his hjands ever so slowly, he closed his eyes, so he wouldn't have to look at the burnt mass that was his skin. He triggered the comlink, and, with a raspy voice, he spoke into the microphone pickup as clearly as he could:

"Delta-Seven...extraction. Verification Lion El' Jonson"

A beep echoed from somewhere down near his waist, and Lion knew that his ship's computer had locked onto his beacon-call unit and was steering itself towards him right now...

...Now, he had to survive that long....

"I could kill the child..."
Dae huffed, rising to her feet. The baby lay murmuring on the ground.
She raised one boot and positioned it directly over the young ones head.
"It would only take one good stomp and no more problem..."
Azhure felt a slight prescense behind her. Dae's pilot stood in the open ship door, rubbing his eyes. He yawned and spoke something in a strange language to Dae. She smirked and laughed, talking back to him in the same tongue. He shrugged, gave a small laugh and turned back into the ship.

Dae raised an eyebrow at Azhure."So....how do you wanna do this? Kill the baby first? Or fight and die like the weak Jedi you are?"

Surpanakha
Nov 18th, 2002, 02:26:14 PM
Given her scrawny frame and build, the impact with the wall was sure to have broken every bone in her back. However, it was night-time, and during the darkness her demoniac blood was strengthened tenfold. As such she felt nothing and merely sat there slumped on the floor, idly thumbing the edge of her blade.

"Justice? We know of no such thing," she scoffed, not bothered to raise her head to meet his pure-white gaze. The sword did little to faze her; Surpanakha's own garnet eyes were boring through some invisible spot on the ground. Finally, satisfied, she pressed the tip of the sorcerer's dagger into that tiny crack only she could see... and immediately the fracture split further.

Fortunately for Surpanakha, she never did like standing. With a small jump she was once again hanging upside-down from the ceiling - the fissure was spreading wider and wider, the floorboards breaking apart from under her. Chunks of concrete rained down upon whoever happened to be standing down below; soon there would be no base to the house's second storey.

Suri canted her head sideways to get a better look at Nemesis. He looked heavy... and of course, the bigger they are, they harder they fall. She grinned triumphantly. "Surpanakha knows only Chaos!"

Lion was almost too weak to answer, but he licked his parched lips and raised his head just enough so that he could see over his hunched shoulders...he could just barely make out a blaze of lights and the silouette of his small cruiser, the Black Dawn...

"I think so..." he said, with as much strength as he could muster.

Nemesis
Nov 19th, 2002, 09:31:45 AM
Despite vehement tremors that slowly ripped the upper floors apart, Nemesis maintained an odd sense of calm and uncanny balance given the circumstances. Glowing embers of snow gazed longingly into a gaping crevice, detecting the ever growing debris and the vibrant spark of clashing sabers.

The assassin's inky helm lifted upward; once more too watch the inverted dark sider. A portion of black cloth just below the nose wrinkled with the blatant scowl beneath a tightly drawn mask.

"Why is it you force users persist in flaunting your bland techniques of a shoddy conjuring?" His voice brimmed with disgust.

In the blink of an eye, his free right hand snapped up, followed by a shrill hiss. The demon's trachea was suddenly constricted by coiling arms of the taunt, high gauge wire linked to a metallic cuff on the ebony warrior's wrist. With a simple flick to the side, all slack was removed from the connecting band.

"When all you really need is a few feet of string."

Upon these words, the hunter voluntarily leapt down into the fissure. The weight of his declining body on the thin link between the pair ripped his foe from the unstable rafters, plunging both into the depths of uncertainty.

The combatants landed but a few feet from those warring in the downstairs compartments. Nemesis fell heavily atop his feet, keeping the knees bent to alleviate any damage caused by his fall. Surpanakha, however, plummeted to the unforgiving surface with a sickening thud.

His hand snapped again, releasing the binding wire as it slithered back into its home.

Right where Lion lays, his throat feels as if an iron grip is circling his neck, cutting off his air flow. After a few moments, finger indents can be seen where the invisible hand is that is chocking the life out of Lion.

"Becuase..." he wheezed. "If you don't move in ten seconds, you're dead."

The deploying blasters on his ship dropped from their concealed points, automatically ignoring Lion as a target and locking onto the...woman...that held him in an iron grip...

The air was filled with blaster fire that quickly stopped when the sensors onboard the cruiser realised that their prey had vanished. Obediently, the guns retracted into the hull of the ship, and clamly waited for the next time they had to be used...

Lion, however, was not quite so calm...he was sucking air in great gasps, ignoring the pain that came from his broken ribs...

"I know..." he answered softly, as he tried to get up.

..he couldn't...

Every bone in his body felt crushed, his skin was crackled and burned. His jaw was broken, as were his ribs. He was sure that one of his legs were broken, and his left arm was mangled and crushed, hanging at an unnatural angle. He felt dizzy, and was on the verge of passing out. His vision grew blurry, and he could barely make out the lights that were above him.

He was yanked into the air and heard the whirring of mechanics, and he knew that he would be safe. The tractor beam was pulling him into the ship.

He let out a yell of pain as his leg left the ground. Without the support, it dangled downwards, the jagged spike of bone hanging freely in the air.

He felt a slight thump as he was drawn into the ship, and then the pull of acceleration as his cruiser rushed away from the battle zone towards the nearest hospital...

He could feel Lion El' near, though he hadn't been aware he was even on the planet. Something wasn't right about the feeling he was getting, something was terribly wrong with Lion El'.

With Rezner still on the floor recovering from his strike, he wasted no time in his search for his fellow Jedi. He ran out the door he had only moments ago kicked in and began quickly gazing in each direction.

It wasn't till he looked up when he noticed a familiar ship speeding off into the distance. After a brief moment or so it came to his knowledge of what ship that was; the Black Dawn.

" Lion El! "

Why was he leaving? Kindo knew Lion wouden't leave the scene of a battle till it was over, and he also knew that he had to have known about the ongoing fight. It was obvious that there was an emergency of some sort, however Ki continuously tried to convince himself it wasn't.

He recognized it instantly as Ki Adi Kindo, one of his best friends and one of the most accomplished knights of the order.

He sighed, and concentrated on another message.

- Kindo...My battle went badly. I'll be okay. I'll explain it later...keep...on...fighting... -

With that, he severed the link before his pain could leak into the message, and despite his assurances, Lion wasn't quite sure that he'd be okay. Surpanakha's skin, being as it was several times thicker and tougher than a human's, suffered little damage from the wire and only barely penetrated the epidermis. The violent landing, however, had rather plainly knocked the wind out of her. She lay perfectly still on the ground, prostrate and with her face pressing into the broken cement, until her ragged breathing had slowly faded away from the average man's hearing range. The demon appeared quite dead.

The line Nemesis had used did actually 'slither' back into his hand, for the wire was suddenly very real and very alive. Two pale, sickly yellow eyes gleamed in a body that, although coated in a metallic hue, seemed to be composed of darkness itself.

Nemesis intently watched the fallen demon before his attention was suddenly commanded to his now living cable. What had once been a cold, inanimate tool seemed to posses a will of its own, as it careened in all directions.

Convinced his prone foe bore some evil intentions for her new creation, the assassin removed a connecting bolt between the snaking wire and his wrist cuff. Once done, he hurled the potentially dangerous cord into an adjacent room, slamming the door behind it.

Both of the warrior's twin sabers were drawn, leveling off at about waist height; each razor blade angled toward Surpanakha at which point he spoke.

"On your feet, witch, lest you prefer to die on your back!" He thundered.

The connection of the blade to her bodysuit, and inevitably her flesh, not only caused her to drop her saber but to trip forward also. The fall confused her for a moment, and when she looked back up Kindo had gone. Being the Warrior that she was she didn’t intend to give up quickly, and thus seized up her saber from the ground and tore off towards where she could sense the Jedi Knight. Within no time the presence of ‘Black Dawn’ led her to him, staring off at his comrade as the armoured Jedi retreated and squirmed in some self-induced agony.

No sound was made on her approach, and the first Kindo knew of her presence was a boot to the back of his head from a jump-kick.

" Two Sith versus one Jedi, doesn't sound like a fair match. Maybe we should get one more Sith and call it even. "

Immediately following his words, he quickly flicked his wrist toward Jade's hand. Her saber was thrown from her grip and several feet away, landing somewhere in the dense, moist grass. Before she could react, he performed a roundhouse kick that caught her in the cheek.

Now hes done it.

Raising her hand out towards Kindo, she flexes it slightly, splying her fingers a bit. At that same moment, Kindo goes flying backwards into a tree (are they outside now?) with an unnatural force, one mixed of the Darkside.

Running, she catches up to him and holds her hand over his head, sending waves of the Darkside into him.

"I could turn you right now. Leap, and I shall.

3 Sith against 1 Jedi? Sounds like that Jedi is damned foolish to take on 3 of us.

And just because The Sisters of Chaos are enjoying a bit of a hunt together to get to know each other better, that does not mean we are alike. We are very much different from each other.

Now, either let us finish what we started, or end up like the last Jedi who stood in my way. A burnt, battered, broken, and blooied crisp."

Jadey holds out her free hand and calls her saber back to her, replacing it back on her beltloop. SHe then increses the Darkness wave to get her point across, then eases up a bit to let him make his decision.

Her recovery from the punch hadn’t needed to be quick. She’d stumbled and winced at the burning in her nose, though Kindo’s attention had been swiftly diverted away from her to another target – Jade. This gave Arriana plenty of time to right her footing and regain the saber stance she needed. Once this was done, all she had to do was weight for her cue.

Listening to Jade, it was as if she had all the power their Master had. She was so confident of herself and her ability to slay the Jedi Knight; perhaps this was where Arriana faltered. She was fairly happy to stand on the side-lines and let her sisters take the first shots at the lightsiders, then move in for seconds and inevitably the kill.

Dec 26th, 2002, 11:15:14 AM
The pulsating waves of darkness weren't able to reach the depths that Jade was trying for, but they did disable him temporarily. At last he reached a solution, and one that wouldn't require that much energy, since the Sith's repetitive attack was draining him of what strength he had left.

He collapsed to the ground, making it appear has if he couldn't take anymore, but has Jade withdrew her attack and watched to see what he'd do, he stretched out his arm and through the Force, threw the woman off her feet.

Mustering up enough energy to rise, he stood up and faced Rezner, who appeared ready provided her colleague went down. He wasted no time in reaching for the hilt dangling on his belt, but instead of settling for just one, he used the Force and called Jadey's own blade off her belt and into his grasp, giving him two sabers to fight with.

Bearing in mind he was already one of the best Jedi swordsman, a pair of lightsabers would make him near unstoppable. With Arriana still a few feet ahead, Kindo spun around once and swung at the darksider with one saber aimed for her head and the other aimed for her knee, striking with impeccable accuracy.

Jadey hit the ground hard, laying there for a few moments. Soon after that, she feels her single bladed black onyx hilted saber, the twin to her double bladed onyx saber hilt, leave her belt loop.

As she watches Kindo ignite the black katana shaped blade, she climbs to her feet slowly, laughing loudly.

"Foolish Jedi! I crafted that saber with my own hands. I poured every bit of the Darkside I had into that weapon, just like my others when crafted, as I am sure you know.

But one thing that only I know is that when a Lightsider handles my hilts, Darkness flows into them much deeper than I ever could.

Hope you enjoy how it feels."

Jadey reaches around and grabs her other black onyx hilt, igniting the twin black blades once more.

She then glances at Arri and nods, giving her a signal that now was the time to fight.

Without another word, Jadey runs over to Kindo and drops down, sliding under him. Once she gets behind him, she jumps up, pulling one black blade with her, attempting to slice him in half.

::Azhure smiled graciously, with an almost amused glint in her eyes. Her face grew expressionless, her usual facial expression at the best of times.::

I wouldnt want to delay you.

::She took out the crystal handled Saber and let the light blue, almost silvery, colour glow. Her mind meanwhile put up a barrier and allowed a momentum of strength to pass through it as she connected with the flows of the air around herself and more importantly around the sith. Azhure felt the song of battle and toched it with her own song as she stood in a defensive position that also allowed movement to attack efficiently.::

We all know the rules about the jedi and striking first. Normally as an assasin I would have the honour of first attacking but....

::Her eyes glittered as her mind felt the change in the air and she responded.::

Dae made a face. Rules?!? No-one had told her about any stupid rules, a fight was a fight in her eyes. She sighed, smelling the Force starting to well up around the Jedi. She spun the saber hilt between her fingers.
"Since when have there been rules? A fight is a fight, simple as that...." Dae stalked slowly towards the jedi, saber still lifeless in her palm. She stopped a few feet in front of her. "If you want first strike, be my guest."

Kindo lowered his yellow blade as the other one rose between his legs, intended on cleaving him in two. The two lightsabers collided as they both locked each other in place beneath him. That was a close one, he whispered to himself.

There was only a few seconds to get out of that position, or he would the Sith would simply advance with the other end of her duel-phased saber. He quickly brought his left leg over the black blade as he turned, bringing it right across the woman's face. As she momentarily withdrew her saber, the Jedi stepped a few feet backwards. He gave a sarcastic smirk as he lowered his own lightsaber down to his side and raised the other above his head.

" If you want your other weapon, its all yours. "

With that said Kindo threw the ignited blade through the air and at Jadey, aimed for both her legs.

Jadey merely laughed loudly as sees her saber flying at her. She lowers her double blades beside her and lowers her head. Her eyes glow a dark silver color, and using telekenesis of her kind, she deactivates her blade and clips it back to her belt loop.

Once again, she retakes her stance, waiting to fight.

"Anytime now Jedi."

::Azhure laughed with her true voice from the throat, a soft melodic voice that belonged to an innocent, which was why it had never suited her all too well. At the corner of her eye she checked if the child was safe then nodded to the sith woman.::

Very well, I'll proceed with my usual style if you wish. If you die, may you die with honour, for everyone is granted that in life and eath. If I die I would hope you grant the same but I will not expect such expectations from an enemy.
Before we each die I might enquire about your name.

::She stood a few more moments, her opponants saber still not ignited. Then she twisted hers in a few circles as the saber became one with the hand. Normally this time would not have been taken but the sith seemed to allow the time and she would not waste it.
One moment she seemed to stand there and the next she flipped into the air, landing in front of the sith, then thrust her knee into the side of the sith's lower part of the right leg, offbalancing the woman and using the hilt, slammed it full strength into the womans neck. Twisting away she let a fair amount of room between them. Her mind caught the siths and she sent a small amount of pain into the mind before disconnecting.
Azhure watched the sith with full attention as her mind still watched the air changing, her body ready to react or defend.
She felt the slight shimmer of the force around her again, no anger. Anger was not permitted, you are jedi. Nodding she heeded the warning, this would be her first battle as a jedi towards a sith: this would be her test.::

Dae hand went to her throat, and she coughed loudly, catching her breath. She felt the filthy Jedi enter her mind, and do what? Pinch her? She spun on her heel and snarled at the woman. Then it hit her; a familar scent. A smile curled her lips.

"Hmmmm, what was that? A little tinge of ... anger? From the Little Jedi???" She was practically grinning now, and ignited her saber with a snap-hiss. "Doesn't it feel wonderful to just let it out sometimes?"

" That confident, huh. "

Kindo spoke in a sarcastic tone, made clear by his short-lived grin. He charged at Jadey with his lightsaber held out before him, waiting until he got within a few feet of her to leap into the air and deliver three swift kicks aimed for the Sith's chest, alternating feet with each kick.

Jadey drops her saber quickly and blocks 2 of Kindos kicks. On his 3rd kick, she grabs his foot and twists hard with all her strength, hearing a loud snap. However, she had not broken his ankle, just wounded it badly.

"You were saying about being confident?"

::Azhure looked at her with no emotion showing on her face::

No, the darkness is a vile feeling in ones soul, it wraps all that is warm and makes the very soul weep as the heart becomes cold and uncaring, dead. I will not walk that path, not again. It only leads to death of the soul

::She felt the anger drain as her mind held onto that belief, that knowledge of not going down that way and she nodded, not wishing to talk any longer.
She obviously hadnt pushed hard enough on her opponants neck, as she had wanted to not kill her, but send her unconcious. The least it would do was cause a pain in the neck, whcih was something.
She went into her opponants mind again. An interesting mind....she caused a sl9ight pain again this time, slightly strogner as she reached into it deeper. The attept again seemed weak.
Her body was ready and alert for an attack, or defense. She waited.::

Well? We both deserve to fight with honour.

Dae flinched a little. She has a high tolerance for pain -- but this was, odd. She wasn't used to anyone going into her mind...especially not a Jedi. She growled low in her throat and lunged at the jedi, slashing upwards.

Surpanakha
Jan 26th, 2003, 04:19:34 AM
[OOC: Might as well end this here...]

There was no response from Surpanakha. The door behind which the assassin had flung the cord tore apart from the hinges as a large blast resonated throughout the wrecked house. The entity that was in a way 'possessing' the metal cable covered the distance between the room it had briefly been imprisoned inside and its Summoner in a single dive, maneuvering its body around the falling bricks and debris where the ceiling had begun caving in.

It stopped in front of the demon, hovering above her uncertainly. The hunt had been successful... the human innocents were slain, Jade had triumphed over her Jedi opponent, and Dae was entrusted with the Child of Chaos. There was nothing more for Surpanakha to accomplish here, and so the dark spirit exited its inanimate host, forming a cloak of shadow around the demon. The fog thickened and, with it, the Servant's body disappeared from view.

The metal cable dropped to the floor, once again lifeless.

[OOC: Unless anybody believes otherwise, I don't think this fight has gone on long enough to determine a real winner, so I'd say it's a draw by default as Nemesis is no longer RPing.

EDIT - Lion, I was referring to the fight between Nemesis and Surpanakha. Of course Jadey kicked yo' butt. ;)]
