A...date? (Sorr, closed)

The Jackel stood outside the room he had found for Sorr. Using a clever bit of strategy and cunning, he had brought her aboard the High Roller without the knowledge of any of the staff. She was now the High Roller's first and only successful stowaway. He had full confidence that she would be left alone. He'd made a name for himself as a troublemaker; and since the room was logged as belonging to him, he didn't forsee any trouble.

"How long does she have to take?"

He'd arrived a full 10 minutes early, and had been waiting for a matter of seconds. Nervousness wasn't something he was used to. Why was he so nervous anyways? It was just a...date...He swallowed hard. A date...what did girls like to do on dates? Was she expecting him to be dressed up for it? He'd arrived in his usual red outfit, minus the sword. As he paced, his bare feet tapped on the cold tile floor. And then, there was his genetically programmed anger control problem...he wanted everything perfect, for some reason he couldn't name. He counted idly on his claws. No need to worry about it...nothing had gone wrong...yet...

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Inu soon felt the light touch of her as Sorr snuck up behind him silently like the cat she was and wrapped her arms around him all the while kissing him lightly once on the back of his neck.

"Hope jI djidn't keep you wajitjing too long...."

[Inu]

"N-not at all..."

She'd surprised him. His lack of focus was proof of his nervous attitude. He turned and put an arm over her shoulder, drawing her close in a sideways hug.

"It's good to see you, Sorr."

He relaxed as he held her, then sighed contentedly. Nothing to worry about....

"What should we do?"

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr purred softly, although he hadn't dressed up, she had little with her hair drawn up and was in another dress than her old KAR one, a somewhat tight black one was what she wore now. In close embrace she was in, she could feel a little nervousness from him but she didn't mind.

"No jidea, jI'm not used to Sjith places...whateverrr you wjish jis fjine sjince jI know nothjing of thjis place."

[Inu]

"Ah, but I have never been here either...I suppose then, we'll have to do some wandering."

The two walked off down the hall to the turbolifts that would take them up to the huge theme park under the High Roller's dome.

"Are you hungry at all?"

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

"Guess so."

Sorreessa looked up at the question, her tail swishing back and forth lightly as they walked.

"A ljittle but jI'm fjine."

[Inu]

"Very well then."

Inu summoned a turbolift. He looked over at Sorr while they waited. She was dressed nicely, and looked stunning. He made an effort not to stare and instead watched the numbers as the turbolift came down from the top level.

Sorr smirked slightly, it seemed he was more nervous than she was. Her ears perked towards him while her eyes wandered, wondering why he was making an effort not to look, he'd seen enough of her the other day. She then quietly watched the numbers as well to pass the time.

[Inu]

He counted idly in time with the scrolling digital numbers. He didn't want to appear rude. Of all the people he'd met, she held the highest place in his heart and mind. He didn't want to offend her. The lift arrived, thankfully it was empty. They boarded and Inu hit the button for the top floor.

"Have you ever ridden a roller coaster?"

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

"Can't sajy that jI have.....most Cjizerrrack arrren't bjig on fun that doesn't jinvolve the bedrrroom."

She smirked slightly, her ears still perked towards him as she watched the floors again and leaned on him a little.

[Inu]

He put his arm around her shoulder again, and laughed quietly as she mentioned bedrooms.

"That night was the first night in over a year I've slept in a bed...hell, we didn't sleep much anyways, so I guess that really doesn't count..."

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr leaned up and kissed him briefly.

"Guess not, we had qujite a njight though."

[Inu]

He returned her kiss with a small smile.

"Sure did..."

He shifted his weight uncomfortably. Now what to talk about?

"I usually sleep in a tree somewhere..."

Oh, that was so lame...

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr smiled back as her tail swished back and forth, noticing he had gotten nervous again, she never thought she would see him nervous then again, she hadn't thought she'd be around him as she was now.

"Knew that, you always had a trrree scent on you."

[Inu]

"Heh...its not something I'm proud of...Not alot of people are willing to rent rooms to a dog-man..."

And it struck him. This was THE longest conversation he'd had in a year. On top of that, it was also the most personal one. He'd never told anyone so much about himself in his life. He laughed a little to himelf.

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

"Well then, they neverrr djid get to know you....jI kjinda ljike rrrentjing a rrroom wjith a dog-man myself."

She smirked again, Cizerack couldn't help but flirt when the opportunity arose.

[Inu]

"You would!" he said with a joking smile.

The turbolift hit the top floor and they stepped out into the midway, surrounded by the lights and sounds of the amusement park. All manner of roller coasters filled the horizon. The site was fairly impressive.

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

"Of courrrse jI would."

She said as she bit his ear lightly before she looked around at the sight, it was nothing like she had seen before. Her ears swiveled about a little at the sounds, quite interesting this place was for someone who had never been around it.

[Inu]

"Well, I guess now we go see what we can find for entertainment."

He stood slightly in awe of what was around him. His dog senses were overwhelming. He could smell everything, hear everything...the sensations were dizzying.

"How about a roller coaster?"

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

"Sounds good to me."

She said, thinking of how that would mess up her hair but then again, it wasn't like it wouldn't be by the end of the night.....

"But whjich one?"

[Inu]

Good question.

"The first we see."

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr closed her eyes briefly then opened them again, sighting an interesting looking one which she pointed out.

"How about that one?"

[Inu]

"As good a place as any to start."

The night was young, and the line was mercifully short. The pair took a seat in the front of the train, buckling themselves down.

"Ready..." There was a mechanical hiss as the operator readied the coaster. "GO!!!"

They were gone from the platform before Inu could blink.

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr took one of Inu's hands as they started a upside down loop, wasn't that she was scared as much, it was more that she wasn't used to the feeling.

"Now why djid jI let you talk me jinto thjis rrrollerrr coasterrr thjing agajin?"

[Inu]

A few corkscrews, loops, and hills later found them back at the station, and Inu found his answer.

"Because...hell, its fun. Where to next?"

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr's tail swished as she tried to ignore the slight queasy feeling in her stomach.

"Whatever one you want, jI chose the last one."

[Inu]

He was past his nervousness and on to feeling embarrassed by it. Maybe a game...win her something. Then something caught his eye.

"Hm..."

Test of Strength. 3 strikes. However hard you hit determines the prize. 1 credit to play. He stared at the sign, trying to make up his mind. There was a wide selection of prizes.

"Let's play a game..."

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr nodded, it would give her stomach a chance to settle.

"Looks ljike fun, gamesss arrre always good."

[Inu]

He fished a cred out of his sleeves and handed it to the man running the game.

"A challenger!" he announced. Immediately a crowd was drawn. "This young man is going to try his luck! 3 strikes son, hit it as hard as you can. Alright son, score a higher than 400 and win any prize on the board. Score 400-300 for a big prize, 300 or lower for a small one. But first, you'll need these."

He held out a pair of boxing gloves to Inu. The Jackel scoffed.

"Keep your gloves, old man."

He rolled back his sleeves and put his arms up, The target was meant for punching. Pressure sensors read the intensity of the strike. He lunged and punched. 200. He lunged again. 220. He frowned. He wouldn't have this...He stepped back, staring down the target. He'd show it...

"HRAH!"

An exact 500.

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr purred softly as she leaned on him again, her tail swishing back and forth.

"Jit djidn't have a chance agajinst you."

She chuckled a little.

[Inu]

"When it comes to you, I am unstoppable."

He looked back to the barker.

"Any prize she so desires."

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorr winked at him.

"That's forrr surrre."

She looked over the prizes briefly, not sure of what she wanted. Finally she pointed over to something that resembled a Zebra, forrda always caught a Cizerack eye.

[Inu]

Inu took the prize and slung it over his shoulder in the same cocky manner he did his katana.

"To the victor's girlfriend go the spoils, I suppose."

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

She smiled and hugged him, it was first time he had called her that aloud.

"Seems that way, what now?"

[Inu]

He returned her hug, feeling better than he had in...in a long time.

"Now? I picked last. Your turn, Sorr."

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Sorreessa purred softly again as she thought, she was having a lot fun for a person who was presumed dead. Her eyes then drifted to a sign for fireworks that were starting in a few short minutes from then.

"How about a bjit of fjrrreworrrks?"

[Inu]

A thunderous clap resounded and the dome was lit with a hail of multicolored sparks.

"...sure..." he said quietly.

The evening couldn't have been more perfect. With the exception of the booming fireworks, all was silent as they stood, gazing at the sky as it filled with a display of color.

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

Her eyes filled with sparks of color as she watched, her eyes drifting back to Inu from time to time, she still couldn't get over how different he acted now. She watched for a few moments more before she turned to him.

"Carrre to end the njight forrr now and go back to the rrroom?"

She said before kissing him deeply to convey how she wanted to end the evening.

[Inu]

A kindred spirit...He'd felt it in Sorr since the night they'd met. The sharing of similar goals. At first, that was all it was, but she'd grown on his thoughts, struck something in his heart. Looking back, he considered himself a fool for his behavior.

"Carrre to end the njight forrr now and go back to the rrroom?"

Even without the kiss, he'd known exactly what she wanted.

"You've read my mind, girlfriend...you've read my mind..."

[Sorreessa Tarrineezi]

"Good to know."

She said quietly before kissing him some more. When they parted, she looked up at him for a moment before grabbing him by the hand and pulling lightly to get him moving, then again, it didn't take much and they were in the lift again before she knew it. Her purr was easily heard, in a way it was quite good to be thought of as dead......

[Inu]

He held her close in one strong arm, the other still bearing the prize over his shoulder. He shifted his grip on it and picked her up, carrying her down the hall to the room. He kicked the door open, then in the same move kicked it shut, locking it behind him.
