OOC: TBH Members Please Read

Guys, I have been here a long time. Longer now than it seemed to me at first, and though I have been very remote in my participation with TBH, there is good reason for it. It's mostly because of OOC altercations which took place a while back, which most of you know about.

So that's why I took such a long break. I already had work and school to deal with, so I couldn't fill my head up with anymore worries. When I came back TSE was gone and then shortly after TGE disbanded. Both of these things threw me off. Jeseth's enemy was TSE for a very long time, and his ties to TGE were a plot element I liked to exploit now and then.

These things have left me to wonder what to do with Jeseth. I don't really see what the big motivating factor for him would be anymore. I'm been considering having him leave TBH (he's not very active around here anyway), and making this group an enemy of his. I'm unsure of what I'll decide, but if I do decide to leave TBH IC and become its enemy, I just wanted all of you to know that the motivation for it isn't that I dislike any of you guys or the group. I'm just very bored and don't see a point in continuing to RP unless I find myself some sort of new opposing force.

So, nobody flip out and lock me out suddenly! :p I'll give you notice of my status when I do decide something...

I think we got everything worked out last night. The Hand's influence will now work its way into the New Republic (now if the NR will just be freaking active!)...thanks to the new ambassador to them from the Balmorran Empire.

Well Zasz, at the moment Jeseth isn't considering leaving, but in the future it might actually be something he'll do. Oh, and one more thing, now that I'm back I'd like to know if you want to recontinue training with me if Hob is okay with it. If you rather train with him, then that's alright too.

That's likely going to happen, Taja... Though like I said: If I leave, don’t take it personally. It's not anything like that. I just feel as if I need something new and exciting in my RPing.

I'll try to hang around with my resident specter, Count Mordrid. He won't really be a member of the group... just a creepy guy who walks about and remembers his better days. :) Sort of like what Morgan did before he got a new character into the group. If it's fine by all of you, I would still want to have a character here.

This is mostly off topic completely, but I thought I'd point out that there have been a jillion evil groups and basically only one good one. I'll have a Jedi character soon, but he's not going to join GJO because they just aren't good enough. So either he's gonna go it alone or maybe he could bring about change... eh, just thinking out loud here. About stuff I've already thought over.

Well it's been tried before... twice. It didn't work either time. The reason is mainly that the GJO is too big, and there are no Jedi Masters outside of the GJo who would be willng to actually DO anything IC concerning a new group. You'll be hard pressed to get anywhere with that idea.

I have a Jedi character, Aaron, but he's signing up with the GJO.

Did I say any future attempts would fail? No. I said I tried, and it failed. It's not an easy thing to do. I also think it's highly unlikely to suceede, as the GJO is different from any other group.

Making belittling remarks only shows that you can't think of anything better to say.

Nup is right. The GJO isn't like any other group. The chances that a succesful brake off would work is slim, and it's been tried before, once by Nupraptor and Morgan, and once by Warren and a small group of other role-players. It failed both times.

because in theory, all Jedi are on the same side and should work together.

IIRC Its called the Greater Jedi Order, because it is a mixture of different kinds of Jedi. Warriors, Healers, Pacifists...The different 'orders' of Jedi have come together under one banner. So your character could start a separate 'sect' inside the banner of GJO, but the odds of making a breakaway start work, is slim.

Anyway, I don't have to join the GJO, and I don't have to form a new group. Which I don't WANT to do. I just want there to BE such a group. :) I couldn't put the time and effort into it.

Eh... I've been talking about that with a few peeps recently too, Shaed. Most everyone seems to agree that there SHOULD be such a group, but nobody actually wants to start it. ^_^;
