View Full Version : Po is a bad A**

Yes, I am talking about Po from the Teletubbies. OK, all the other Teletubbies are sitting around, doing nothing, then you hear that squeaky wheel.
Then here comes Po over the hill like a bat out of hell and tries to pull a hit and run on the other Teletubbies with her scooter. That is bad ***.

Oct 10th, 2002, 03:26:07 PM
No way! And Po was always on the scooter, saying that one thing that a lot of parents thought sonded like "F***** f*****."
It's hit and run, and she curses them out. And then Po's always doing her karate chop motions and kicking her feet about.
I will admit, Dipsy had the hip-hop thing going, but when Po is on that scooter, it all ends there.
HIT AND RUN! GLOCK GLOCK!

It's not the Teletubies that frighten me, it's that damned child in the sun.

They aren't clothes! That's what Teletubies look like, they don't wear clothes.
As a side note, I think the American public shouldn't be allowed to voice their opinion on television anymore*, after discovering some of the misinterpretations they made about the Teletubies I just had to laugh.
Tinky Winky represents gay culture?
Dipsy represents the black community?
And there was uproar when parents heard them saying "Again! Again!" having believed them to be saying: "A gun! A gun!"
I'd say that is a disturbing sign of the times, it's a kids television programme for God's sake.
*Don't take that literally. I'm not being serious here, just dramatic. :)

La-la was a girl, I thought. La la would jump around and beat her ball. My little brother would laugh and laugh when la la would straddle the ball and poundon it mercilessly.
Then that one time TInky-Winky lost his bag, and he tries to look between his legs and calls for his bag.
"Where bag?"
He was staring right at his crotch, and he says, "Where bag?" That was horrible.

Cherice, if YOU can start a thread to show off your worthless phone card, then Wei can start a debate over children's television. And Sene, as of this post, your name is the last post on the top 10 OOC threads, so you're one to talk about spamming. And as for our knowledge of children's television? It comes from baby bro.

I knew the peace wouldn't hold. The word "spam" is thrown around far too often, at least that is my take on it, and as such a reaction as has occured here is bound to happen. This thread has been entertaining for some, intriguing for others and downright wierd for the majority. Nevertheless, calling it "spam" is just asking for trouble.

I understand and appreciate that it was meant to be taken light-heartedly. That's how I saw it, regardless, the word "spam" is used a little too often I'd say and it's a little dangerous for someone to throw around even if said individual had innocent intentions. This thread is evidence of how inflammatory the word "spam" can be but that aside, the rigidity of some people is beginning to cause a great deal of friction.
In short, there are some who really do need to take the "Chill Pill".

The OOC forum was closed for a little “cool off” period. Some may agree with that decision and some may disagree. Its impossible to please everyone all the time, an unavoidable fact of life.
This was about giving every member that frequents this forum some time to reflect on the topics and contents of posts within.
This was not about singling any individual(s) out. If that were the intention of this action, the forum would still have been open and any singled out individuals would have found their access to the OOC forum gone.
It is widely known among those that frequent the OOC forum that the majority of comments made here are with the sole purpose of seeking entertainment. Some comments that are meant to be funny are sometimes not perceived that way by some people. But really there is no real good reason for any comment, unless specifically stated in plain black and white as an insult, to be taken as one. Going out of your way to read between the lines of any post in this forum to find some kind of bash or insult is a waste of time and energy that would be much better spent having a good time.
If you see something of that nature between the lines of a post, ignore it and move on to something that doesn’t strike you that way. We are all here to have fun, not be at odds with one another over something so trivial and absurd as assuming someone “meant” something other than what they said. Really with nothing more than text communication it is impossible to discern with 100% assurance that any individual meant something other than what they said specifically. Text is virtually an emotionless communication media, and we need to be wary of putting feeling into the heart of another that were not intended because we perceive things a specific way.
The best thing to do is move on and try to find something that is enjoyable. Almost every time such a situation arises it is later gleaned that what “one person said the other person meant” was 100% in the wrong.
Whatever problems anyone may have in real life are generally not known to other people in our cyberspace world and it is usually best that you keep those real life problems where they belong, not bring them here and use them to allow something someone said to strike you personally, because more often than not the one who said something like that has no idea, nor should they.
This forum is almost all about a lighthearted, carefree, and fun atmosphere. Occasionally there is a serious issue that gets discussed and usually resolved with no trouble. I believe that everyone needs to reflect for a little while on just how unreal our little world of chitter chatter is and do what they can to stop taking things so seriously.
This is about getting together for fun, plain and simple. Don’t lose sight of that by misrepresenting yourself or others.
