A promotion to a Knight(council,Zeke)

Maia entered the chamber of the Council she was coming to ask for the promotion of her Padawan Zeke. He had proven himself time after time that he was more than worthy of the title Knight. He had always adhered to the beliefs of the Jedi and never wavered from what they taught. She was very proud of him.

Going down on one knee Maia bowed before them. "I have come to request the my padawan Zeke be raised to Knight hood. He has proven to me that he holds the Jedi beliefs close to his heart, as he has proven that he will fight for justice and his fellow Jedi. His heart is pure and kind and he has never wavered from his dedication.."

Navaria nodded her head in approval and then waited for the others to give their decision.

Xazor smiled gently and glanced sideways at Navaria, obviously agreeing with her silent notion.

"Agree I do with the promotion of Jedi Padawan Zeke.....he has more than proven himself worthy and deserves Knighthood in our Order."

The Council Member said softly and then let her eyes drift to the others, wondering what they had to say about this fine young man.....

Liam thought about it for a few moments, then smiled.

"My vote is yes."

[Zeke]

Zeke kneeled next to his master, not moving, calming himself with the Force. He kept his eyes on the ground and didn't move, listening as the Council cast its votes. The excitement was almost overwhelming for him, and he was happy, even by his standards. Even if they voted him down, he had come so far. That alone was something he could be happy about.

[Ki-Adi Kindo]

Kindo silently entered into the Council chambers and before the other Jedi, greeting them with a respectful bow.

" If I may speak... "

He paused briefly, contemplating speechlessly.

" A Jedi is nothing without his brethren, for who has his back, who is there to support us when we need it most? Zeke is by far my best friend, and although you have seen him in action and talked with him many times, I live with him, and many nights we will spend just talking. I know the real Zeke, Zeke behind the scenes, and I can assure you, with all of his vigorous training, he has grew has a person, has a brother, and has a Jedi. He is deserving of this promotion. "

After concluding his words, he walked off and stood by the door, awaiting the Council's decision.

Kindo ran to his best friend's side, excited like never before! Zeke had worked so hard, learned so much, and now he had gotton what he deserved.

" Congratulations! "

He embraced his brother with a firm hug.

[Zeke]

Zeke stood as Kindo hugged him.

"I did it?" he asked, almost disbelieving.

[Maia Tharrinn]

Maia's eyes filled with tears at the announcement. She ran over and embraced Zeke. "You are a knight now. Remember with power comes more responsibility. I am so very proud of you Zeke." He had been her first padawan and she would miss him as such but he would always be her friend and now he would fight by her side as an equal.

"May the force be with you Zeke always ..."

[Zeke]

Zeke returned his hugs with his same easygoing grin.

"May the Force be with all of you."

He walked to the door, letting Kindo and Maia out first, then wheeled and bowed to the Council.

"I'll serve the GJO with all my heart and soul. As a Jedi Knight, I give you my word."

And with that, he left the chamber to make good on his promise.
